okay so i have this friend and her name is jenna. we've been bffs since kindergarden and are still bffs. but this year is really different. like everytime shes around SHES the spotlight. and im the OUTCAST! its so annoying. and today is valentines day right? & i forgot to give her gift to her and she was like UMM I LOVE HOW YOU GAVE ME A VDAY GIFT. i was about to punch her SOOO HARD. ughh shes really agervating me. and oh yeah if i tell her how i feel she'll be like I DIDNT DO ANNYYTHING. (because she "never does")

Just from reading this, I can tell you don't like her that much, even though you have been friends for a long time. If she's that immature about you not getting her a valentine's day gift, then she isn't a very good friend. I say talk to her, and tell her to be serious about it. If she continues to deny doing anything, she isn't the type of friend you need. Friends need to be supportive and not mad because you didn't get her a gift for a commercial holiday meant for couples.

So, I realize "love" between two people can make happiness for them and some degree of comfort. I haven't had a steady boyfriend for basically two years, so I don't understand what's so attractive about the whole thing.

Sometimes I will be sitting on the couch and I will see some show about people being in love and my chest will completely tighten and I will wish that it was me. But really, when I think about it I don't understand what is so fantastic.

I know that part of this may just be that I don't know the "right guy".. but why is being in love so great? What happens?

Love is such a vague topic. Everyone wants to feel loved: to have someone feel special about them and to treat them in a way that no one else does. People often think that their families don't love them, but they do- even when they believe that they hate/are hated by their family members.

Love is a sensation beyond what anyone can describe. It feels so good to love and appreciate someone who also appreciates you to a high level.

Again, Love is complicated, and I completely understand why you are asking this question- especially so close to Valentine's Day.

Is it more like when you go all red in the face and head over heels, or can it also be like... you feel happier than usual when you see the person... you feel strangely like you want to be around them a lot..?

I feel slightly different around this one guy friend than around the others. I'm not quite sure what to do about it.

Well since it is Valentine's Day tomorrow- it starts to become clear to people that they may actually like someone. I know when I like someone I'm always trying to spend time with them, make them laugh, and talk to them about anything- even if I make a fool of myself. Basically when someone likes someone, they try to get that person to notice them so that they might actually end up liking them. If you want to get someone to like you, be sure to never act like someone different; someone fake, because if you don't act yourself then that person could fall for you because of the different person you are acting as.
Also, when people like someone, they do tend to feel different around them then they would around their friends.

Its the season of love!

i have never, ever had stage fright before in my life, and i have acted at least two shows a year. but this year, i tried out for two of my school's plays, and i was terribly nervous during each audition. I messed up so badly.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to stay calm?

Me, being a drama geek, would have only one thing to suggest to you. And that would be practice. People tend to feel nervous on stage especially when they don't practice well enough. The more you practice your rehearsal piece, the more confident you'll feel with it when you go to perform. The more confidence you have, the less likely you are to studder or have stage fright.
Let yourself become comfortable with the director/potential audience there when you present your audition. Get to know them so its not like you're performing in front of a lot of strangers.
But, if you do know everyone- than all I can suggest is to practice until you can't practice no more.

first of all, just because a person is 15 doesn't mean they are stupid.
second of all, every word they said was plain out rude & you didn't deserve it.

on www.UrbanDictionary.com under Tools at the bottom, it says you could send a text message through your fone and it will give you the defination. does that cost money? and what number do you send it to? thanx so much!

I'm guessing that this costs money, because barely anything is free nowadays. Unless it says that its free and there isn't any fine print, then it could be free. If you wanted to send a definition to your phone, you would enter your cell phone number and it will probably give you directions on how to go about all this.

ok so theres this guy i like and i dont know if he likes me too. i think he knows i like him. he did some pretty sexual things with this girl i know but there not going out. and my friends said they talked to him and he said theres a 95% chance hes gonna ask me out. the thing is we rarely ever see each other and whenever were around each other he doesnt talk to me. so does he like me or what?

Don't listen to rumors.
Actions truly do speak louder than words- and if he doesn't speak to you in person, he might not. But then again, he might just be shy around you.

I think it's ultimately your call if you want to make a move and possibly date this guy, but I think you should go for it, because he very well could like you.

I think I'm going to save up for a new digital camera soon. What are good things to look for? I really don't know anything about them, but like what should I find in terms of megapixels and such? Thanks!

Finally a good question!

I have 5 megapixels in mine;
5X Optical zoom (you want optical, not digital, because digital screws up the picture quality);
and I have a 2GB memory card- which is plenty of memory for anyone.

My camera is a Canon Powershot A530, which is EXCELLENT, but I've seen the Canon Powershot A630 which looks nicer.

If you need more information, when you go to buy the camera, ask the clerk about good qualities in cameras, and which one they suggest.

Memory cards are bought separately and make sure to buy a case for your camera and possibly some rechargable batteries (if the camera takes them)- so this would be another thing to ask about when purchasing a camera. The best rechargable batteries have Nickel in them or something..

how does labelling affect people?not only the person doin the labeling but the person being labeled as well?

It could cause people to question their status in school (or where ever its happening).
It effects them mentally because they feel unwanted or unliked (especially if the label is something negative).
Some are even driven to suicide or self-mutilation.

I have a best friend he's totally cool he's nearly sixteen..We trust each other a lot i can open up to him about anything...Espeicially things at home and stuff
Me and him have such a laugh its untrue..haha :D...I had troubles-he listens and thats what i need a good listner

Hey-

I've been in the same situation as you before. My best friend Leah and I were almost inseperable. I trusted her beyond anyone and she trusted me. So naturally, I started to feel like I wanted something more with her. Because I knew I could tell her anything, I told her I liked her as more than a friend. Unfortunately, this led to us not talking for about 3 months. Now- I'm not saying that this will happen to you- because I chose the wrong time to tell her (she had a boyfriend) and it just kind of put her out of place for awhile. If you feel you want something more- then go for it. Tell him how you feel about him and he might just feel the same way back.
Remember- "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all,"
that's more true than you may know.

ok, most people that i know tell me that im not a prep. but on the other hand people that dont know me that well tell me that i am. I dont want to be (dont get offended) but somehow people end up telling me i am. Ok heres me, yes i have some things from american eagle and aeropostale, mostly jeans because most other jeans dont fit me right. Most of the time i wear a hoodie. One from american eagle, and the others just came from miscellaneous places. When i dont wear a hoodie, i wear just tee shirts, like sports teams tee shirts, well that style. I straighten my hair and take a shower and put on makeup every morning and i run my fingers through my hair throught the day. And at school i dont hang out with all the popular preppy people. Im not saying theres anything wrong with them, so dont get offended. So am i a prep or am i not? Got any advice of some sort for me?

Honestly- it shouldn't matter what people label you as: Prep, goth, emo, etc.
You are who you are. That is your label. Please don't work yourself over this, because it shouldn't matter what other people think of you. I personally have preppy clothes, but I also wear black T-shirts, and people call me emo or whatever for wearing it, but I don't let it get to me.

All in all, don't let yourself be labeled- because it only leads to hurt feelings and such.

I will not say what I believe in for abortion because that may influence your answer..but someone brought this to my attention...
do you consider this an exception for abortion..if an 11 year old girl got pregnant(raped) and her hips couldn't support the baby. Do you believe that when a girl has her period she is ready to give child birth even though her age may not be? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

I believe that abortion, no matter what the circumstances, is wrong. It is immoral and it is killing a unborn child that God intended to be here. It was in God's plan for that child to be conceived, and it should be birthed (if that is a word).

So I guess what I'm saying is that this is not an exception, and there aren't any exceptions.

I'm fat in ONLY my stomache and its driving me INSANE! how can i loose fat in ONLY my stomache?

Its quite impossible to lose weight in just one area, as I've been told.
The easiest thing to do would be to do sit-ups or crunches everyday (maybe start at a low number like 10 each day, and gradually build up to more)

okay well im 13 years old and in sept i weighed 150.
now i weigh 120 and i still want to lose weight.
i work out and stuff and do the same stuff i did to lose the last 30 pounds but i just cant seem to lose any more. i rly wanna weigh like 105-110 by the summer.

Seems to me that losing 30 pounds is enough.
You're a perfect weight, just eat the right foods and exercise 3 or 4 times a week for about a half hour each time.

I know you may want to lose weight, but guys don't like really skinny girls =]
