I will not say what I believe in for abortion because that may influence your answer..but someone brought this to my attention...
do you consider this an exception for abortion..if an 11 year old girl got pregnant(raped) and her hips couldn't support the baby. Do you believe that when a girl has her period she is ready to give child birth even though her age may not be? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

DaOnenOnly answered Thursday February 15 2007, 9:44 pm: Well its the mothers choice but if her hips arent ready going natural isnt the only to have a baby the doctor should have told her that, the thing is i personally wouldn't keep the baby one because thats such a young age and two the mother will have a baby by the person who raped her she is gonna want to forget about what happen and having a baby by that person will make it difficult. plus when the baby asks whose the father what she gonna say i dont know i was raped at 11. Plus 11 is way to young. she has 7 years of school left not including college and a baby kind of ruins or sets back any plans...

Loculai answered Sunday February 11 2007, 10:27 pm: If the girl reported it to the police in time, they'd have given her a pill to elminate the chance of a fetus.
If she couldn't report it, I'd be for aborting the fetus, yes. In the case of rape especially, or in the case that the child has significant risk from both parents of dying from something terrible in it's early years.
Daimeera answered Sunday February 11 2007, 10:13 pm: I'm pro-choice and while I don't entirely agree with having an abortion if you have irresponsible, promiscuous sex, I absolutely agree with it in the case of rape, or if the mother's life would be in danger. At 11, if she couldn't support the baby, I would be even more firmly in favour of abortion.
That said, if the girl doesn't want the abortion, she should have some control over that decision, but perhaps not full control, if she IS in danger . . .
It wasn't her fault and she had nothing to do with it. She shouldn't have to deal with any more pain than has already occurred.
Krazy answered Sunday February 11 2007, 10:00 pm: If she cant handle it, then i say she should abort it, but only under the circumstances that she was raped. [ Krazy's advice column | Ask Krazy A Question ]
sexytammi answered Sunday February 11 2007, 8:46 pm: i believe that abortion in any case whether rape, incest or whatever is wrong. i read some where that a foetus can be grown in an incubator, so why not advice her to see a doctor, have them take it out surgically and then raise it in an incubator. when it is mature, she can give it up for adoption or child care. uisforukelele answered Sunday February 11 2007, 7:10 pm: i'm pro choice, so i think that is an exception. i think abortion is okay under these circumstances: rape, endangerment of the mother or child, or if the mother is in a horrible place in life and would not be able to support the child (because the child would have to suffer consequences it doesn't deserve). a girl is only ready to give childbirth when she feels that way, not necessarily when she matures physically. twistedsister17 answered Sunday February 11 2007, 6:30 pm: I only believe in abortion in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life is in danger. So yeah, I'd say it be alright if an 11 year old got an abortion if her health was in danger and especially if she was raped. It is one thing to choose to have sex, because then you must deal with the consequences of your actions. But when you are forced against your will, then I think abortion should be offered. I definitely don't think any girl is ready to have a baby just because she has her period. It is impossible to name an age that girls would feel ready, because it differs in every girl. Some girls feel ready at 20, and others at 40. Hope I helped! [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]
smokedank123 answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:54 pm: Just because your body has your period doesnt mean your ready to bear a child, esepically if your a small girl. I believe if someone is raped, abortion is an okay solution. It wasnt her choice to get pregnant, someone else sadly made that dicision for her. Plus at 11 years old? Her choices are really ether have an abortion or give up her future for something horrible that happened to her. Frankly, if I was in her situation I would get an abortion in a heartbeat. clouded_bluee answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:54 pm: Yes, I do think an abortion is fine. Personally I think abortions are fine if the child isn't more than 3monthes developed and your at a considerable age. Even if her hips could support a baby I think abortion would be fine because she's at such a young age. [ clouded_bluee's advice column | Ask clouded_bluee A Question ]
bitterxsweet answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:47 pm: i also believe that abortion is wrong except in the case of rape, especially an 11 year old who would put her own health at risk for a baby she physically cannot support. [ bitterxsweet's advice column | Ask bitterxsweet A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:33 pm: I'm against abortion with the exception of rape. I think that if a woman is raped, regardless of age, should be allowed the choice of an abortion. She shouldn't have to pay the price because some psycho horny man forced her to have sex with him. That's awful & anyone that calls themselves a "Christian" & thinks that this girl should have this baby when she could put her on health at risk -- is not a christian at all.
***EDIT***
Sorry to anyone who is offended by the christian statement. I am Catholic myself but it KILLS me to hear people preach that a person that is raped has to keep the baby. That's just me tho.. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
amygwendoline answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:20 pm: I am pro-choice. And, I can easily sit here and say if a girl, no matter what age she is got raped. She SHOULD get an abortion. It makes me sick to listen to the douche below me rant on and on about how it's God's plan. Fuck him. So, it's "God's" plan for this girl to get raped? It's so lame. No guy should have any opinion on abortion being right or wrong.
That 11 year old CHILD, is still a child herself. She could possibly die or could have a miscarriage because she is so young & her body is obviously not ready to carry a baby. So, I believe that IS an exception for an abortion, of course. It's just unthinkable to have an 11 year old have a baby, it's makes me sick thinking about it. Cux answered Sunday February 11 2007, 5:10 pm: I believe that abortion, no matter what the circumstances, is wrong. It is immoral and it is killing a unborn child that God intended to be here. It was in God's plan for that child to be conceived, and it should be birthed (if that is a word).
So I guess what I'm saying is that this is not an exception, and there aren't any exceptions.
Please rate me, but on my insight, not if you disagree with me or not.
Hope I helped
**EDIT**
I'm not saying that the girl has to keep the baby- there is a thing called adoption- y'know?
