16/m Ok, so I have grown extremely close to a girl, and we are best friends now. Lets call her Betty for this. However, this girl happens to be one of my best friend's(who we will call Bob) girlfriend. Now, they have been dationg for close to 3 years...since before I met either of them.

Betty is everything I would look for in a girlfriend...she is pretty, smart, funny, and we just get along so well. I don't want to have feelings for her, but i can't help it. I would never want to move on these feelings because Bob is a close friend of mine. People have also told me that they think she likes me too.

About 2 months ago I got into a huge fight with Bob, because he was mad at me because Betty was flirting with me, even though I was not flirting back.

Betty flirts with me all the time, and always tells me how Bob is being a jerk to her. Now they are boken up but still kinda together, and she always talks to me about how he is an @$$hole.

Basically I just need to know what I can do. I have feelings for her that I do not want to have, but I can't help it. Bob is too good of a friend to lose over a girl, and I never want to lose any friend over a girl. Is there like anything i can do to get these feelings out of my head?

Hey-

There isn't much you can do to get these feelings out of your head. Not many people can help who they are attracted to- and it's especially hard when the person seems like the perfect boyfriend/girlfriend to you.
Even though it would cause trouble with Bob- I suggest you just flat out tell Betty how you feel about her. If she doesn't react and say that she likes you too, then there isn't much you can do to get her to like you.
Otherwise, to get her out of your head, try to find someone else. Yes- I know how hard that is.. trust me.. but continuing to crush on someone that you can't have is just being a hopeless romantic. There are plenty fish in the sea like Betty.

Well- if you're asking if the myth that having sex in water won't get you pregnant is true, it isn't. Sperm move- they don't just stay where they are. So, yes, it is possible for a girl to get pregnant while in water with a guy who ejaculates, granted they are close together. Obviously if they are many hundreds of feet apart, it isn't possible.

Ok, so the Wheel of Love (as I call it), hasn't been spinning for me --- and I'm not sure if I want it too. My friend has started to get together with a guy and ... shes just odd now. :/ She a bit more obessed with her BF then I would really like her to be, (Telling what he did today, worrying aboiut calling him, ect.) They have the same interests (hard rock and stuff), but she wasn't always like this -- she changed about two years ago and she seems to hae "grow up." I'm not into mental, cussing, and some of peoples "aspects of life" and its hard for me to talk to people, (sometimes its just akward.) I'm scaring this guy I like (being over active and just being "weird") =( Its getting bad. Theres also this other aspect that I can't date until I'm 16 (its a religous thing), but with everyone else dating its just bothering me. What should I do about "scareing" people and this push of dating?

With "scaring" people- just try not to be so aggressive. Be yourself, and you'll find someone who likes you just as you like them.
Don't feel pressured to date someone. Really- its overrated. A date occupies a lot of your time and they become more of an obligation that its probably worth. Now- I'm not saying that if you find someone you like that likes you too, you shouldn't date them, I'm just saying that you shouldn't feel as if you NEED to date. Take me, for example. I'm single and I'm doing great. Most single people would agree with me that its better to be single.

Well in my school, most of the guys go after the bigger chested and gelled hair kind of girls. Anyways thats deff not me. Lol i'm a tiny girl 4'9" small chestt and 13. I have a boyfriend right. He's nice and great and everything but idk. I've asked him why he likes me and he told me because "i'm special to him" What is that suppose to mean? Honestly-

I like girls for their personalities. Yes, I do also look for looks, but unless they are TERRIBLY ugly, and I mean terribly, I will give them a chance. Most of the girls that I could see myself dating are the ones I hang out with now. They are nice, sweet, kind, and caring. They aren't like those popular sluts that only care about their looks. Your boyfriend said "you're special to me" because he meant it. You're probably one of those girls that most boys overlook because of appearance (not saying you're ugly- you're just not like those fake bimbos), but your boyfriend isn't one of those guys who would overlook you. He likes you for your personality- and that means that he is a keeper.

I have been best friends with lisa ever since third grade. We were inseperable until this year (freshamn H.S). She got her first boyfriend in the beginning on the year and its been downhill from there. ahhg. She's now very arrogant and acting as if she's SO "experienced" and can get any guy that walks in her path which is untrue. She will not sit next to me in after school activities or social places like in the lunch room, but she'll sit with her friend natalie who is friends with the crowd her boyfriend is in. It's really hurtful that she is now a totally different person wanting to dress differently, acts like a cocky witch, shoves her new "friendships" in my face, acts like i don't exist if i'm around her in social situations, and expects me to be there for her through and through. She makes me feel like CRAP plain and simple. I have other friends, but is it worth it to keep with one?

From what you described, this "friend" is not a friend. Heck, they aren't even a person in my book. She ditched you, a life-long friend (well... almost life-long), just to go hang with her new boyfriend and new friends. If she didn't want to be your friend anymore, she should have told you. In my opinion, the friendship was over the moment it began. Okay, so not that harsh, but it was over the moment she got a boyfriend.

The correct way is to say "Jess's house", I believe. However, many people use "Jess' house" because it is much easier to say and write.

If I have homework to do- I don't come on here.
That's what I suggest you do too. If you have an overwhelming amount of homework, you shouldn't feel obliged to come on here. There are plenty of advice-givers that every [reasonable] question gets answered. I come on here only when I have free time. I haven't been able to tally the Advicenators Awards because of my overwhelming amount of homework. Its been over a month that I've been off of here.

So, just choose homework over here [and I'll probably get back feedback from people for saying to put homework over the internet] because homework is very important.

i have my boy friends myspace password. i accidently signed on his and saw that he had a new message. i read it. it was him and this girl have cyber sex. i know i shouldnt have been reading his messages because that is personal. but do i have a right to be mad at him? and what should i so about it?

I know it would seem right to attack him for "cheating" on you (I guess that's what you'd call it), but its probably best to not call him out on it. Yes- it was VERY wrong for him to do this, but it also is wrong for you to snoop (I don't know if this is the right word choice) around on his myspace.
What you should do is just ask him if he's done anything he regrets- like if he's cheating on you or not. If he doesn't come clean, just sort of mention his messages with this girl. Ask him why- but don't get too mad (although this will be hard to do, since its probably VERY angering to you). If you don't want to deal with it anymore, after you've talked about it with him, you don't have you. Just break up with him. He cheated (again, word choice isn't the greatest) on you, and you don't deserve that.

Love takes chances. If you want to be with someone- its best to just take that chance, and make a move. Like you said, make eye contact, smile, and talk to him. Talk about weekend plans, etc. If you don't knkow him to well, just get to know him. Ask what his favorite things are. Ask him things like that.

I'm a sophomore who is "seeing" a senior... is it a bad idea for us to go out? Since the school year is winding down I'm a little concerned about him going to college, even though we still have like 2 more months + summer. He's going to school about 3-4 hours away, BTW. I'm worried that we won't have time for each other, that it will be difficult to have a long distance relationship, and that he will want to go out with other college girls instead of me once he gets there! PLEASE only answer if you have HAD this experience, and tell me how it worked out. Thanks!

My sister and her boyfriend (three years older than her and a sophomore in college) have been together for almost 9 months. Despite the fact that he's in college, they are still going out. Him being in college doesn't keep them apart- whenever he's home they spend a lot of the time together.
So, just try it out to see how it works, and if it doesn't work out, then it doesn't, and you can't help it.
My suggestion again is to try it out and experiment with it. The long-distance relationship takes effort from both ends.

It happens, and oddly enough I know what you're talking about. People "don't have the time" to look at you and wave. People are rude in high school, just stick with your friends (they are really all you need), and ignore the rudeness of immature people.

i would like to tell you all, that you are beautiful. everyone on here are the greastest among people. for we are all hear to help and be helped. and this is no question. and if i get suspended or deleted from advicenators for it or something, so be it. but the main point is, you are all wonderful people and every one of you are making this world a better place by signing on here everyday and helping someone half way around the world that you don't even know. that's what's gonna change the world. if everyone was like the people here, the world would be a better place. but sadly it's not. but maybe someday, it will be. so if you see a struggling man or woman, do not laugh, stick out your hand to help them. do good in the world, more than you already have. and maybe someday you can change the world. and i write this becuase someone answered the boy from pakistan in a way that really moved me. and it makes me appreciative of what we do here. and it makes me aware of how good i am. compared to some people in the world without homes, money, food. or are young parents. and their last hope in the world is here, and when everyone gives a helping hand, it's something beautiful and unreplacable.
