Heya! No probs. I've had this problem before too. And the root cause: you're worrying unduly and trying to pre-empt the situation. There's nothing wrong with your personality; you don't sound like an introvert to me.
When you talk to people, don't think so much. "Oh will they like me? Am I interesting? Will I be able to make them laugh at me?" What for think of all these? My logic is that the conversation hasn't even happened yet so why the hell are you worrying bout it?
You see, you've thought so much bout the problem that you've actually analysed right down to the point where you mathematically calculate how many people it takes for you to have a smooth conversation. I say f it. Don't bother. When you're with them , just lighten up. You should have fun and not worry.
I'm not gonna say just be yourself because I myself don't know myself. Just behave like how you would to them. If you're with funny people, you can laugh till you pee or you could just carry on their crap and say lame stuff to make them laugh. When you're with bitchy people, bitch with them. Bitching bout people are good conversation starters; but don't get too mean with it. Just let the conversation flow naturally.

Ok this maybe sound crazy but thing is i never like met a guy and whoes is married to. well thing is at work thsi guy really nice and pay alot atthen to me and saying hi to me alot. and friendly. well thing is I been working there 3 weeks and i know stupid but yesterday I saw ring on his finger and I felt stupid for 10 min, i feel werid and alot werid, and yet I not falling for guy or going have crush or anything, and yes iknow that a no no no. but please i don't want like show u know and what kidn things i can do show that i not well you know sorry this confusing, i know that he probly just being nice and like how i doing and just try be my friend or something. but i never like have eprience like this..please help!!!

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 months now. He is 17 turning 18 and I am 15, but it feels like we've known each other forever. He is absolutely in love with baseball, (he got a full-ride scholarship to play ball at college,) and his fav. team is the Giants. So for christmas, I ordered him a customized Giants jersey with his name and number on the back.
The thing is, my friends say his present for me is perfect, so I want to get him something else that will show how I really feel about him. Something really cute and special. Ideas would be great.

I'm asian but I can say that asians behave very differently in different parts of the world.
Most american-asians aren't as deeply rooted in their culture and superstition. But you could play safe and avoid giving things like clocks (the chinese word for giving clocks as present means sending the person off at a funeral), wind chimes (ghosts-related) etc.
You could get her IQ stuff like the rubix cube (you get what i mean right? but of cos don't give her a rubix cube)
There's this IQ thing which has 2 metal pieces locked together and you need logic and technique to separate those two metal pieces. It'll be great to get her that as an xmas present.

I'm not a guy. But if I were you, I'd try to turn it around to imagine myself in that situation. What is running thru your mind when you check guys out on the street?
I know of guys who do that even in front of their gfs. Most of them just like to check girls out just for the fun of it. That's all. If you arent very secure bout it, why not you talk to him bout it? And then you observe and see how honest is his opinion.

recently I've gotten a new atatude(sp?) on life due to the fact i've joined the army and lost 37 pounds, now if that isn't a confidence booster I don't know what is. but anyway i've liked one of my friends for quiet a long time about 2 years now come to think of it, and two days ago I asked her out... unfortunately(sp?) she is going out with someone that she knew in high school and he is off at college but she's back here and quite frankly stuck at home till the spring semester starts. The reason i'm asking this question is that i don't know my chances of he actually calling it of with the guy, btw they have broken up before and their relationship is patchy at best... and going with me. when I left her house two days ago she was really pondering the thought of did she actually like her current bf... and when we hugged and said our goodbyes to eachother I told her that even if she didn't choose to go out with me I was happy I told her and she responded "I'm glad too"*she smiles* the only thing is that i haven't heard from her in two days so i'm a little nervous about the whole thing... exp since we are supposed to hang out today at noon or so... if anyone is still up at this time it'd be a great help to know your thoughts on my stiuation

I think you should take things slow. Let her decide for herself. She already knows that you like her.
And just a personal opinion, when she said "I'm glad too" , it means that she's glad to have you as a friend. Yeap. She smiled cos she's glad she has you as a good friend.
It's relatively easy to get a girl to like you. Just be very nice and caring towards her. Simple.

Ok, I have REALLY thick hair and there's soooo much of it! It's course and really wavy. It also gets frizzy easily. It is currently long and when straightened it goes about halfway down my back. Does anyone have any advice on what kind of hair cut I should get? I don't want it too short. I was thinking bangs but I'm not sure...some pictures or websites would be a HUGE help!!

I think you should get it layered. Get a V-shaped cut hair. Don't cut it till shoulder length. Make sure your hair's still beyond your shoulder after the cut cos hair really does misbehave at the shoulders.
Bangs I'm not sure if you want them. I have them. They look good when they're in the right length and all but it's quite hard to maintain and it gets kinda irritating when it grows to eye level.
Also, with thick hair means thick bangs. Thick bangs are good but they have to be like thick good and not just thick thick. You know wat i mean? So it'll need a lot of maintenance and styling.
You could get bangs if you want. I have bangs but my hair's very thick so I'd pin up some of my bangs and leave some of it and my baby hair down. You could do that too and this method's great cos you can control how much bangs you wanna show. You can also put a hairband if you still find your hair too thick after your hair cut. Hairbands look great on thick hair.
Remember to condition your hair everyday if you can ok!!
The Conditioner is every hair's best friend, except for your p**** hair.

I'm 14 years old and a female.
I have a boyfriend who I have been going out with for 4 months now and at first he was so sweet and really nice to me. Over time he started getting mad at the littlest things,, like how I dressed or did my make-up. He would call me a whore or a slut and other things, and about a month after that he bcame abusive. He would always loose his temper and hit me. Never in front of anyone though, and he just got worse and worse but I never told anyone. So after school yesterday I tried to break up with him, he got so mad and punched me. He said if I ever tried to break up with him again I would regret it. After he left I was just sitting in the hallway crying when this guy I really liked(I didn't know him that well but I like him even before I had a boyfriend)came p to me and knelt beside me and asked me if I was okay. I tried lieing to him, telling him I tripped and fell but he wouldn't by it.(I'm guessing my black eye gave him a hint) He asked me if my boyfriend did this to me and I said yes. He lives close to the school so he asked me if I wanted to go to his house to get cleaned up and I said yes. When we got there he helped me wash the cut and everything and we started talking. He asked me if it was the first time my boyfriend did this to me and I told him no, then I told him everything. For some weird reason I trusted him. He walked me home and when we got their he hugged me and then he kissed me. He said he would take care of my boyfiend. I ddn't really know what he meant but I let it go. I was to happy he kissed me. I was late to school the next day, but when I got their I was just in time to see the fight between my boyfriend and the other guy (Lets call him Matt). They were broken up by the police officer. They were both pretty beat up.Both of them got sent to the principals office. Matt got suspended for a week, and my boyfriend 3 weeks. (He has previos fighting records)I caught Matt as he was leavigng and asked him why he would get in a fight over me. All he said was "I love you and I couldn't stand to see you hurt like that" and he walked away. What should I do I really need help. (link)

I know it's gonna be tough job trying to break up with your bf but you gotta do it for your own good. The best way to break up with him is face to face. Never ever do it by email or whatever crap-it's only gonna make him pack in more of his anger. Break up with him when you have friends and people around you since he daren't hit you in public. Stay away from him as much as possible after that.
I know this is gonna be seriously tough; you gotta be firm and fierce with him. If he's gonna keep abusing you and the people around you, report him to the authorithies be it your principal or the police. You should tell your parents or someone who's older and wiser bout this problem.

I think you shouldnt ask for tips on flirting. Cos we don't know you and if we tell you to like eg touch his hands etc, it might not suit you, you see. I have asked people how to flirt and they tell me things like "oh you should like whine (I dunno what's the right word to use here but I hope you get what i mean) and pout, you should touch him, etc. I did try all these and it turned out so damn wrong. In fact i think I kinda grossed myself out.
Flirting means highlighting your good points and not doing things which aren't you.
Flirting in fact doenst require tips or whatever. You can flirt in many ways. Flirting is when you show him a lot of attention, care a lot bout him, laugh your ass off in front of him, be your cheery self in front of him, smile shyly in front of him etc. Just don't fake out any feelings, cos guys can tell and they'll get goosebumps.

Since you say that he's a nice guy, he probably doesn't know the right thing to say which will not hurt you. Don't worry bout it. Communication thru internet can create a lot of misunderstanding.
Just continue talking to him like normal times. He wont act wierd if you don't act wierd. It'll A. make things less wierd and B. he'll notice you more as a friend since things are back to normal and you can continue building up on your friendship.

ok i'll start this off with the truth, i fucked this up. but i regret it so much and just would like help. theres this guy josh, and i've never had as much in common with a person as i do with him, he used to like me alot and he told me we will probably have a future as more than friends again. from the second we first met we liked eacxhother.a few weeks went by and we werent even together yet, and one night i was very drunk and tried to make a move on his friend because i thoght he ditched me. hes not your average person and takes things very personally so he got very mad. he told me he didnt like me anymore and 2 days later told me he likes someone else. the thing is he still ims me every day, and when i saw him yesterday he told me that he never gives second chances, but for someone like me he probably will in time and that when he saw me he got butterflies in his stomach. hes saying all this when hes telling some other girl he likes her too. he keeps switching the way he feels on and off and its just really confusing me and giving me hope, and i dont know if its false hope or not. i guess the best thing to do is just wait it out, but if theres anyother advice anyone has id really appreciate it. If I were you I'd ditch him. I don't like guys who gives mixed signals and leave me in a heap of confusion. He's being very wishy washy and greedy because he wants the best of both worlds- you and the other girl.

The reason why you panic so much is cos you think too much bout it. You've stressed yourself so much that you breakdown when the time comes.
