Hairstyles for thick hair? Ok, I have REALLY thick hair and there's soooo much of it! It's course and really wavy. It also gets frizzy easily. It is currently long and when straightened it goes about halfway down my back. Does anyone have any advice on what kind of hair cut I should get? I don't want it too short. I was thinking bangs but I'm not sure...some pictures or websites would be a HUGE help!!
Thanks<3

DO NOT GET LAYERS!!!!!!!! Thy will make your hair frizz out and be all poofy unless you spend a lot of time straightening it EVERY morning, and still halfway through the day it will be poffy again. I had this experience and I have the same hair as you, I suggest a V-cut, its really pretty and will not poof out. Oh and also, you should get side bangs because thick bangs in the front are a pain, again personal experience. :) ]
It sounds like i have the SAME EXACT kind of hair as you. Haha. Mine is at the same length currently but I liked my hair the best when it was like an inch or two below my shoulders, angled, and thinned. But now i have sideswept bangs and i think they look cute. ]
get it thinned? they thin mine... ]
you shuld get your hair layered! it takes out SO much weight from your hair. and after its layered since you said your hair is wavy all the weight off of it will make your hair beautifully curly!! (i had the same problem) my hair looks way better now!
hope i helped :) ]
Hey I have really thick hair too ;)
I think you should get it layered. Get a V-shaped cut hair. Don't cut it till shoulder length. Make sure your hair's still beyond your shoulder after the cut cos hair really does misbehave at the shoulders.
Bangs I'm not sure if you want them. I have them. They look good when they're in the right length and all but it's quite hard to maintain and it gets kinda irritating when it grows to eye level.
Also, with thick hair means thick bangs. Thick bangs are good but they have to be like thick good and not just thick thick. You know wat i mean? So it'll need a lot of maintenance and styling.
You could get bangs if you want. I have bangs but my hair's very thick so I'd pin up some of my bangs and leave some of it and my baby hair down. You could do that too and this method's great cos you can control how much bangs you wanna show. You can also put a hairband if you still find your hair too thick after your hair cut. Hairbands look great on thick hair.
Remember to condition your hair everyday if you can ok!!
The Conditioner is every hair's best friend, except for your p**** hair. ]
I'd get your hair layered. It'll make your hair less bulky and will make it swish around better haha :]
I don't know what kind of length is too short for you, but maybe a couple inches shorter, so that it's easier to brush? The length you have now sounds really cute too though, so maybe, cut it shorter & let it grow back? That, and some layers would be ADORABLE. Your hair sounds so pretty!
hope I helped! ]
