Q: okay well last summer i met this kid matt from my friend. we talk all the time. hes 16 im 14. i think i like him but like i dont think i would ever have a chance with him because he like just seems like too mature for me or something but i really want a chance with him.. i dont know what to do tho. i dont really talk to him about like this kinda stuff and like i wouldnt even know what to say to him because the stuff we usually talk about is like fun stuff.. i dont want to like just randomly come out and tell him i like him so i need a way to just like slowly start telling him and ideas what to say.. oh boy i really do like him a lot =\

hey! well if you really like this guy, then maybe just start flirting. that should get the message to him that maybe you could have a chance to be more than friends. however if you see that he doesnt like it when you flirt, then maybe you should lay off and just be friends for a while more. things might change once you get older and more mature, and then you might as well feel more comfortable around him b/c you'd feel more mature and at his level. xoxo helpachick

Q: I usually go on this website alot called habbohotel. And I know I have never given out my email address to anyone on there! EVER! But now on msn, this guy I knew off habbohotel is talking to me telling me I give him my hotmail address and I haven't its scary what should I do!

hey! well what i would do is delete the guy that keeps asking you that. (delete him and block him) and it should be ok. anytime someone asks for your email addy you don't have to give it to them. and on msn it's easy cause you can block them and it will all be over! lol

Q: ok well my friends met this kid at a amusement park. then they started talking to him. this is all in the summer btw. so blah blah, i would talk to him online too. so about maybe in early october we started like talking, like really talking. so now its feburary and we both have feelings for each other. but i have never seen him. but my friends have. i have talked to him on the phone and whatever but not acutally seen him. hes planning on driving down soon. (he just got his liscense) do you think it will be okay?! pleasee hellppp.

btw, he lives an hour away. does that matter?

hey! well i can totally pretty much relate to this. going out with someone who you have never met in person before can sometimes turn out alright. just as long as you met them through a friend you trust(and who knows the guy). so then you're gonna meet him soon anyways, so if you know you'll get to see him some, why not give it all a chance??!! i did it and everything turned out really great! so go ahead and meet him and if you like him as much in real person, give this a chance:D

hey! well, i'm sorry but ok well i know how you feel and there's really no other easy way than to just say exactly how you feel. it might be easier to do it online or something instead of face to face, but just say hi and act normal, and then just say ok __(name)__ i'm gonna say something and i dont know if you feel the same way i'm really hoping you do but i just want to get this out...and then just say it. "well lately, i've been feeling like i'd like to be more than friends w/ you" or "ok well, i like you.." and then wait for his reply. if he likes you, then he will most likely say SOMETHING back.

Q: How old Should a child be when they start dating?

hey! well if your a parent who's asking this, i think that whenever you trust your child then you should let them start dating. but make sure you aren't just trying to hold them back, but when you REALLY trust them. i'd say usually the age is probably about 14, but that's just me. i'd do it before 16 because it really gets hard. my mom that used to be her rule until we showed her that she could trust us and that it should be set at an earlier age. xoxo helpachick

Q: The problem I have is speaking in front of people. I get sweaty, nervous, my heart starts beating, and I just can't talk. How do I cure this? Is there a possible way to overcome it? Or am I stuck with it for life?

hey! well i used to have this problem, but this year things are sort of different. what i do is once i get up in front of the class i just think that i'm talking to my group of friends (i know i know, some classes, hardly anybody is your friend in there, but PRETEND) i know it sounds like one of those things that is easier said than done, but it seriously does take a lot of the stress away. whenever you start to get nervous, just think of a couple of your friends and act like its a casual conversation with them.

Q: ok.. so heres my question.. i am 14/f and i like this guy, and i know he likes me.. we might go out in the near future.. but hes 16.. and we dont see each other alot, except on weekends when he picks me us and we go to the mall or movies or something.. are we too far apart in age? or is it common for people of our ages to go out?

i think that at 16 and 14, you should be fine. going out with older guys at our age is sometimes a plus because they are more mature and therefore sometimes more fun to be around(if you know what i mean) if they are a year or two older. and well for the seeing eachother issue, its only on weekends...well that should be ok though because the only time you GO OUT is on weekends. sure, its good to see eachother during the week, but i think you two should be ok. maybe if you feel like seeing him/talking during the week, try going to a sport game or talking on the phone or internet.:D xoxo helpachick

Q: Can you fall out of love?

I mean ive been w/ my bf for a while now and its great! this last month however is kinda shaky. I feel myself NOT wanting to hang out w/ him. But i miss him.

Am i falling out of love or whats wrong?
how can i fix it?

hey! well the way i see it you can do one of the two things...
1. spend less time w/ him than normal, and you will most likely miss him more and so you will really cherish the times when you are together

or

2. maybe you are just not as into him as you used to be...and you should move on. think of it this way; are you missing HIM or the IDEA of him? my guess is him, so personaly i would go w/ choice one, but maybe seeing somebody else for a while wouldnt be bad; hanging out w/ someone you REALLY want to.

Q: okay i want to straighten my hair tomorrow & i was wondering if anyone had any tips??

-i have to do it in the morning after my shower
-i have to blow dry my hair (i dont have a straightener you can use when your hairs wet)
-i have pretty much time about 15-20 mins
-my straightners pretty good. its the revlon thin ceramic straighteners

i juss wanted a few tips.

hey! well i would say 15-20 mins to straigten your hair is probably ok...if you can't allow yourself any more time. make sure your hair is FULLY dryed before starting. and just get like a 2-3 in. clump of hair and slowly move the straigtner down your hair, clamped tightly. you might have to do that a few times if it doesnt straigten enough the first time. xoxo helpachick

Q: My friend heard something that she thought I said beacause this girl told her ex-boyfriend and she thought I said something bad about her, but I didn't say anything about her at all. How can I get her do understand that I didn't say it someone was just spreading rumors?

well, if she's really a good friend then you can tell her "do you really believe I would say something like that??" and maybe it will take her a day or so to come around, but if she really is a good friend she'll believe you over this other girl spreading rumors!xoxo helpachick

Q: One of my close male friends and I email each other. We are just friends, but he sent me an email that made me think that he may like me more. Well I told him in an email that I got 8 inches cut off my hair, and that is was really short now.
He sent me an email back and said " I can hardly WAIT to see your new look, and now you can show off you sexy neck".
Do you think this means he likes me more than a friends?

hey! well i agree with some of the other people who have answered, me and my close friends sometimes talk that way too. of course to know for sure if he's serious, maybe you should give him ques to see what he'll say in response and if he starts being an actual flirt towards you, then he likes you. but from what he said there, it sounds just like what a close friend would say to me...well except i look bad w/ short hair:P xoxo helpachick

My boyfriend, Isaac, of 3 months, has been different lately. He doesn't call as often and he barely ever asks me to hang out .. i'm always the one asking him to hang out. (We see each other a few times a week.. but it keeps getting less and less.) My friend Nicolas was talking to Isaac (they are friends) and asking him how things were between me and Isaac. He asked Isaac if he was getting bored with me yet. Isaac said he wouldn't mind seeing me just once a week, and he didnt want Nicolas to think he was "pussy whipped." So Nicolas told me all of this. But the thing is, i dont know whether or not to believe it, because Nicolas also likes me and is jealous of me and Isaac. But I dont think he would lie, but its possible. But I'm going to assume it is the truth because it all makes sense. What should i do about Isaac? Should i just call him less and lay low for a while or what? Ok, so I caught my boyfriend (of 3 months) in a lie. But I haven't confronted him yet. See, on New Years, he came over, and told me he had to leave by 11:45 because his parents said he had to be home by 12 because it is illegal to drive past 12 if you are under 18. So I was sad because I couldnt be with him at midnight. A few days later, I found out that he actually went and spent the night at a friends house. Should I confront him about this lie? If so, how should I confront him? Should I act upset, or not? thanks.

hey! well i think you should ask him about it definitley. but ask him in a calm and cool matter, and so he'll be less likely to put up a fight w/ u since you arent seeming like wanting to put up a fight w/ him

Q: My friend likes this guy named Tyler. I was pretty much going out with him in the summer, and I've never gotten over him. My friend thought I was over him (thats what I told her), and so then they started liking each other. Now, Tyler likes me AND her, and I like him back. i would definitley talk to your friend about all this! its important that you both know eachothers feelings for this guy you both like. whatever you do though, don't let this guy come between you and your friend...i know from experience that is one of the worst things you can do! xoxo helpachick

Q: If I'm on my period, and I have a tampon in, what should I do if, while making out, my boyfriend starts to put his hand down my pants? Should I assume he is going to finger me, and immediately warn him that I have a tampon in? If so, what/how should I say it? OR should I let him do whatever he is going to do, and then IF he DOES begin to finger me, should I THEN tell him to stop? Thanks for your help.

hey! well i think you should just let him do whatever he's doin w/ his hand down your pants unless he actually gets his fingers really close and you know he's going to try and finger you. but if he's just down there for the heck of it and to do something else then i would just let it be. if he does try to finger you then just say one of the two things
1. just pull back for a second and say hang on just a second i gotta go pee i'll be rite back..dont move!;);)
2. or maybe just to be on the safe side since you are on your period and you dont want him getting all that stuff on his fingers if you did take it out, just tell him its your time of month right now and maybe he should move up and try somethin on second base for a while...:D
