advice

I'm 16. Every time I go out, all the kids I see look chubby or overweight. I haven't seen a "healthy" looking kid in a long time. When I was younger, I remember that most kids were average weight.. but now.. it's changed. Is it because their parents don't care enough to give them a proper diet or what? Did computers/video games take over little kids?

First of all, this makes me so so so sad.
This also hits a soft spot for me, too.
Second of all, I think up09's answer was kind of rude and completely falsely labeled.

"nah it aint like that, most kids become overweight because one they have no friends and just sit around all day. or they are lazy, and all they like is video games. sometimes it could even be that they eat a lot but dontl ike to be active like playing sports. mostly tho it could just be that they are under a lot of stress and dont care about their weight."

While I agree that SOME weight gain can be caused by stress, I disagree with everything else. No offense up09. I just don't agree that the kids became overweight because they simply "didn't care" or "had no friends".

What I think is...
Yes, video games and T.V. took over.
But it wasn't only that.

I think it was a mixture of new technology, like the video games, also the internet, mixed with lack of excercise and more consumption of junk food. This doesn't neccessarily mean it's the parents' fault though. It started with the parents, possibly, but then the kid's made the choice and eveloped the habits of hitting the junk food or gonig straight to the video games rather than choosing healthy alternatives.
I hope this makes sense and helps you out =]

I have an iPod nano (blue) and was wondering if you can put podcasts on it because there's a podcasts category on there. If you can, how do you? I have some podcasts downloaded but it won't go on my iPod, I already converted it too. Maybe I have too many songs? (193) Thanks!

No, you can only play podcasts on video iPods.
Sorry =/

the beginning goes,

im in love with the girl i hate, she enjoys putting out every bad thing about me...

i'm in love with a ctiric and a skeptic i'd trade her, i'd trade her in a second.

"She's a Lady" By Forever the Sickest Kids.

I knew that off the top of my head.
But next time, use google.

im 14/m.

I met this girl and we got to 3rd base on the first day i met her. was that bad if I want to have a meaningful relationship with her that's not all about sex?

You're 14 and went to 3rd base on the first day you met someone? No offense, but that doesn't sound like the basis of a "meaningful relationship".

First of all, I'd stop going that far with girls you just met. It's really not a healthy habit to pick up at such a young age. To answer your question, yes I think it's bad if you want a meaningful relationship. To have a meaningful relationship, you have to like someone for who they are, and not their body, or the fact that you've had sex already. Do you even know this girl or anything about her?

If not, that's where you should begin if you seek a "meaningful relationship". Start off by getting to know her. Find out what she likes, and the kind of person she is. Talk to her, get to know her, and don't just go right to sleeping with her (which you shouldn't even be doing at 14 in my opinion). Let her know you're into her for more than just sex. Tell her you want a relationship with her. Though, she might not want the same thing, considering how your relationship started.

Anyways, Good Luck!

I have a hard time looking for jeans my size. I'm 14/F and I normally wear a 0 or a 1 short. However, they are still too long. I'm about 5 feet and I'm not sure what size my waist is. Is there any stores that sell 0 or 1 short? I can't wear a 00. Tried and well..doesn't work.

Have you tried Abercrombie kids?
I know somebody whose really tiny, like you, and she gets all her jeans there.

What do girls look for in a guy?
What are some things girls like to see and some things girls don't like to see?

Personally, I love a guy who makes me laugh. Any guy who makes me laugh, and compliments me is a winner in my book.
But not only that, I also like guys who are smart. They kind of go together for me. Like if you're dumb, it shows when you try to make me laugh. Does that make sense?

Anyways, guys who isn't ashamed of me. I can't think of a better way to word it. But a guy, who holds my hand when we go out. A guy who lets me rest my head on his shoulder. And my last boyfriend used to tickle me (even though I hate it). But it was ok when he did it.

I like to see guys act the same around their friends and my friends. I also like to see a guy (obviously) not hitting on other girls if we're together or he told me he's interested.

Seeing guys read or write is cute, too. Artisitc things in general, I guess, will attract girls.

One thing that's an automatic NO for me, is a guy whose really self centered. A guy whose like, "Me, me, me, me" I hate that.

Another automatic NO for me, is a guy who ignores me. Myself and many other girls need attention. Being ignored is intolerable. Don't do it!

I hope this helps! =]

think of your DREAM house.
and tell me something about it.
something special.
dont tell me "it has a living room"
tell me something different about it.
like how the hall, is a hall of mirrors.
or how the fifth floor is a paintball range or something.
or even somthing about the outside.
how all the windows are shaped like bongs.
or your secret garden right before the bar on the beach.
:)
things like that.
thankk yoouuu

I don't have many expectations for my dream house.
All I want for sure, is a wrap around porch, a pond in the backyard like I've grown up with, and apple trees in the front yard.

this is a weird question, but would a light gray shirt match light tan/khaki capris?

Thanks for the inbox =]
Do you watch Big Brother?

Anyways, if you honestly do want my opinion, then yes. Gray is a neutral shade and matches with basically anything.
Khaki is also a neutral color, therefore, matching with any color shirt =]

Yeah! So the title means what is going on in your life. Often times it makes me feel better when I read that other people have problems and that I'm not the only one who is going through a dark and lonely stage. Okay so what are you going through? I would really love to know how life's been treating you even if you're happy. I really want to know. Please don't get offened by my question.

Listen, I went through some bad stuff.
But I changed my outlook on life, and now I'm going to share it with you.
So something bad happens to you, you can either:

A. Be all dark about forever.
B. Just get over it and move on.

When you choose A, it's pointless. There's nothing you can do but act depressed, but why? It won't change what's happened or whatever's bringing you down. It'll only make you feel worse.

If you take my adivce and pursue B, now we're talking. So something bad happened, so what? Go make something good happen! Forget about the bad things that are happening, and focus on the good.
Everything happens for a reason, or at least, that's how I see things. Why focus on all the negative things?

I'm a really happy person right now. I look at the positive things, and surround myself with people who I like and who I trust.

That's another thing, don't hang out with people sut because they're "cool".

Hope this helps =]

So i am 15 and i am going to my friend birthday party in 2 days. At the party there is not going to be alcohol or smoking or anything. But afterwards I am spending the night at her house with a whole bunch of people and there is gonna be drinking and smoking and i already know i don't want to smoke but I am iffy on the drinking. My friend told me I didn't have to but I would feel kind of left out so I kinda want to. Do you think its a bad idea? or should I enjoy my youth?

Don't drink. I've seen it really screw up people's lives. Our ages, too.
Just, don't do it.
It's totally not worth it.

I have been dating my girlfriend Caitlyn for two years in October. She is the most amazing girl i have ever met and about 7 months ago i gave her a promise ring and i know Cait is the girl i want to spend the rest of my life with. Sometimes we get into little fights and blow them way out of proportion. About a month ago we had one of these fights and she wouldn't come to a party with me that night. At that party, i got pretty drunk and slept with a girl from another school. I didn't tell her about it and everything seemed like it was fine until this girl i slept with showed up at my baseball game and just so happens to sit down next to Cait and her best friend without knowing it was them. They start talking and pretty soon Becca, the girl from the party, has to go so she asks my girl friend if she could give me a ring back that i had left at her house (the promise rings we gave each other. i guess i left it there that night) of course my girlfriend gets curious why this girl has my ring and so she asks becca about it and she told her the whole thing. After the game Cait brought the ring up to me and said that my "little friend Becca" thought i would want it back and asked her to give it to me. I was totallly shocked and had no idea even what to say. Cait broke it off right then and there. I need to find some way to make it up to her. She is the love of my life and i totally regret what i did but she won't even talk to me which is really awkward since i am at her house all the time since her brothers are my best friends and her dad is my football coach. How can i get her back?

Thank you for asking to my inbox =]

Well, this is an awful situation to be in =/
Start off by calling her, tell her you're sorry, and whatnot. If she blows you off completely, just give her some time. She might need it ot think everything over. Then, do something incredibly sweet for her.

Something like:
- Write a book.
Include One page for everyday you've been dating. On each page, write something you love about her. When you give it to her, say something meaningful, like, "Caitlyn, I'm sorry I slept with Becca. I made the biggest mistake of my life. I promsie I will never ever hurt you again. Please give me a second chance, Becca was nothing compared to you and I filled up this notebook with reason why I love you to show you that I really do mean this."

- Write her a song.
Girls love this, well, at least, I know I would. Write a song and make it your form of an apology. Make it a cute, sweet love song like "Hands Down" by Dashboard Confessional. Or just one about loving someone, kind of like "So Much Love" by The Rocket Summer.

- If you can't write a song, make her a mix cd.
Include any songs you can think of that include apologizing and being in love with someone. Then put it in her car/backpack/mailbox or wherever you have access to, so she'll find it and think of you.

- Make her something.
I don't know what she likes, but make her something sentimental (sp?). Something you know she'll like. Like, if she's like me and loves teddy bears (XD) make her a little build-a-bear.

- Write her a letter.
Just get everything you want to say, out. Then put it somewhere, like in her backpack or purse or under her pillow (maybe her brothers can help with this?) where she might not find it right away.

- Cook her dinner.
Invite her over, then surprise her with a fancy shmancy dinner of some sort. Make it romantic, and let her know you did this for her because you love her.

- Simply go to her door, and tell her you're sorry.
Bring her roses, and just explain to her what you did was wrong. Explain to her you never meant to hurt her. Let her know you still care, and always will. Tell her you lvoe her, and mean it.

Basically with any one you choose, just let her know you're sorry and never meant to hurt her the way you did. Just let your feelings out, and let her know you regret what you did more than anything you've ever done before.

Also, have you ever read the book "Boy Meets Boy?" by David Levithen? The climax o the book is when the main character tries to get the one he loves back and he does all these really sweet things. I'd reccommend checking it out =]

I'm all out of ideas, I really hope on of them sounds good.
Good Luck && Let me know how it goes!! =]

they aren't the best, ha but most pictures i have i have sunglasses on and i thought it be better if you see my eyes.

so any coloring ideas? please don't tell me it looks good the way it is becasue my roots show and my natural hair color is darker than that. thanks soooo much =]

I agree with Calli (helloxdear13).
Go darker.
Your eyes are dark, so it would look nice.
Also, like she said, your rotos won't show as much.

how do i tell a girl who i lost feelings for that i want to break up with her when she is still crazy for me?

Just tell her. Be honest.
There's nothing worse than being with a guy who doesn't want to be with you.

Just nicely say to her, "Hey. I think maybe we should just be friends. We had a good relationship, but I just kind of want to be friends with you."

Or, let her down gently.
Don't hold her hand as much, don't flirt as much. Trust me, she'll notice something's up. We girls have a 6th sense for that stuff ;]

Hi.
My teacher is making me do a summer project.
And i have to read a book then write down all the places they mention in the book.
And do a lot of research on it.
She wants us to make it look like a journal that we took all over the world.
*any ideas on how to make it look very creative, so i can get a good great?

Make it like a scrapbook or a postcard of some sort. Like say the character went to France. Use a map of France as the background for the page where you put your research. Then, put like a picture of the Eiffel Tower on the left side, then write down your research on the write.
Then, maybe for the title put like:
"Les salutations de France!"
(greetings from France)

And then on the back cover of the notebook,
I'd put "special thanks to Laura from advicenators" ;]

I wish this was my project, it sounds pretty cool.
Good Luck! =]
