OK me again?i like argue with people over the "N" word.especially african american men. They feel the word is alright and i feel it sn't because of it's history.I feel the word should be erased completely because it holds us back.I don't think there should be any double standard on the word becaus it's worng for a white man as well as a black man to use it.So I just want us to understand things on a higher level. So all i am asking is your opinion. Thanks! (link)
First off, I just want to say that I couldn't agree with you more. You have no idea how many times, I've brought this up with my friends that use this word. They think, "It's not a big deal, we're not meaning it to be mean." The fact is, it is a very mean and terrible word to use. I wish that everyone could see that, no matter what they intend. The word's definition stays the same.

does anyone know of like a website or something that can teach me to belly dance? (link)
You can go to www.seventeen.com, and click on "Health." It will teach you everything about Belly Dancing -- you may have to look in the archives, being as it may not be on the front page.

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on a laptop that I am considering buying from Staples.
It is a...
Compaq presario with AMD turion64
-1 GB ram
-80 GB hd
-15.4 in. widescreen
-8x dvd R/Rw superMulti dual-layer drive
-5 in 1 memory card reader
-quickplay
All for $600 after rebates.

I plan on mostly using it for school (Im 16) and leisure. nothing too serious.
I would greatly appreciate any comments that you have!
Thanks! (link)
I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I am very good with computers. This is a good computer, and Compaq is the best brand to buy, in my opinion. Many other brands, you have too much trouble with them in the beginning, and tech support isn't very well for most of them either. I've been on the telephone so much with other companies, it's insane. So I couldn't recommend any other computer brand more than Compaq.

Also, I too, I am a student, and I have an 80 GB hard drive, and it gives you a great amount of space for anything you need. And not a bad price, after your rebates either.

i made a facebook, but i realized it gives out waaay too much personal info! HOW DO I CANCEL IT, OR ATLEAST DELETE ALL MY INFORMATION? Help me pleassee (link)
You can click on "Edit" right beside, "My Profile." To change any information, that you would like. You can also click on, "My Privacy." Which will allow you to ajust your settings, the way you want them. To make your page only viewable to your community, your friends, etc.

Okay, my boyfriend and I have been going out since October, and have spent the whole summer of 2006 with this little crush on each other thing. He's liked me for a whole year before that summer, too. Basically, after he asked me out we've spent so much time together. I can't imagine not being with him, and neither can my friends. Everyone expects us to be the couple that will never break up, high school sweethearts, etc.

Lately, though, I've been getting bored from being in a relationship so long. I've started noticing all the little things he does that bugs me, and it really irritates me how he gets upset when I hang out with or talk about another guy.

I don't know. I feel like I want to take a break or dump him or something but I don't know what to do or how to do it, and I'm afraid that in the end I'll regret everything.
(link)
I know, what you're going through. Once you're in a relationship for so long, or sometimes, a fairly small amount of time -- you tend to notice the little things he does, that do irritate you. And this is completely normal, everyone goes through it. At least those who are serious about their relationship, as you are.

My advice to you is to not make any snap judgements, at this time. Think about your guy, and the relationship you both share. Is it really worth giving up, right now? Is it best that you do break up with him, or take a break? Are the things you're noticing enough to break up or take a break over? These are just a few questions, that would be good to ask yourself before making a decision.

However, if I were you I would talk to him about not being able to hang out or talk about another guy. I mean, as long as you are just friends and he trusts you, there shouldn't be a problem. My guess is that he has an insecurity within himself, and/or he doesn't fully trust you. And he's afraid there is something going on, and I'm assuming there isn't. So I would definitely talk to him about it, because it's not really fair to you.

Good luck, I'm sure everything will work out for you!

So i did stuff with my ex boyfriend who has a girlfriend then i told her cuz i felt bad about it but i still really like this guy but anyways she wont let him talk to me anymore now..how can i get him to talk..ive tried emailin he wont write back he doesnt see them cuz she deleted them first or he just doesnt write back he knows my voice on the fone so he hangs up wen he knows its me and hes always with her wen i see him ..i really need to get some answers from him, but i cant get him to talk..any idea? (link)
First off, I would just like to commend you for telling his girlfriend. There are so many girls who do these kinds of things, but hold them inside for forever, and it stays there and eats at them, day after day. The best advice I can give you is to talk to his girlfriend, and explain to her that you really need to talk to him. However, you're going to have to have a very good reason, for her to probably even consider letting you talk to him. Even though he does have his own free will, he probably is listening to her, being as that's his girlfriend.

I wish you the best of luck!

are all advcicenators in here under the age of 19 ? (link)
No, there are many people here over the age of 19.

I am really bored.People tell me to get a life. How do I do that. Please tell me how I should get a life, get rid of my boredom, meet new people and make new friends. Any answers are appreciated
(link)
I think the key to living a happy life, is to do the things you love and are passionate about, and having great people around you -- who are your support system.

Ask yourself, "What do I like to do?" "Are any of those things, possible hobbies?" You have to figure out what you really like to do, for example, do you like drawing, singing, dancing, writing, painting, reading, acting, modeling, fashion, and/or beauty? Not to say that you have to choose any of these things, because it's about what you like, these are just to give you some ideas of potential hobbies. And if you do like anything of these things, there are plenty of steps you can take and different things you can do with them. I could explain them individually, if you want me to do that, you can ask me a question on that.

Hobbies are a sure way to get rid of boredom. And so are meeting new people and hanging out with any of your current friends. As far as meeting new people, this can be done in various ways. If you go to a public school (assuming you're a teenager), try talking to people you normally do not. By starting a conversation, about something that may of happened at school or in a particular class that day, etc.

You could join a gym, there are tons of new friends waiting for you to meet them, there. Getting involved in extra-curricular activites are a way to meet new friends, too. At school, or by volunteering. There are many places to volunteer -- your local library, hospital, etc.

my computer says" low on virtial memory" what can i do? is this why my comp is so slow?
(link)
Yes, this is exactly why your computer will run slowly. Luckily, there are things you can do to keep your computer running fast. You can Defrag your computer (otherwise, known as Disk Defragment), you can find this in your start menu, under "System Tools." I also, recommend Disk Cleanup, which you can find in the same place. These will both remove unwanted, and programs that you do not use and will free up lots of space. I recommend doing this once a week, or twice if you have many programs on your computer.

Also, you can go into your Control Panel, and click on "Add/Remove Programs" and remove any programs or software that you do not use or do not want, this will free up space as well.

ok im 13/f and i have a really really deep voice and i HATE it SO much its so embrassing!! does any1 know ANYTHING i can do for it
xxxx (link)
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid there is nothing you can do. I personally, think there is nothing wrong with deep voices. Love your voice, it's unique and special, which sets it apart from everyone elses. Rita Crosby is a perfect example of this, if you don't know who she is. She's got her own news show, and she's a news reporter. She has a very deep voice, and it's still beautiful and her own. Embrace your deep voice. :)

I know xoxo stands for hugs and kisses and ive heard the o is for hugs and the x is for kissez but why?
i always thought the X was for hugs because when you hug your arms make an X and wehn you kiss your lips make an O shape
but sum1 told me im way off (link)
Yes, you are right. It's only said in reverse.

I'm really bored.I like to try new things and start fun projects like combining archietecture, photoghraphy and sculpture into a single art work.I just want to have fun. Please could you think of something fun for me to do.Any suggestions are appreciated. (link)
I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not the most creative person when it comes to these kinds of things. As far as putting all of these into one single piece of art. But I will try my best to answer your question. :)

You could create a sculpture, create a beautiful painting of it, and you could also draw it, as well.

Here is a website, that may give you some ideas.

Good luck, and I'm very sorry I couldn't help you more!

why is there so much hate in the world? Every one is labeling everyone. Today I got so mad cuase my friend who is emotional and likes black, some kid walked up to here and asked her if he could teach him how to be emo. It really hurt my feelings even though it wasn't towards me. But Even if you are emo. punk. goth, hard core, why does it matter? as long as everyones being thereselves then it should? why does everyone catorgorize everyone? it's rude. What is the difference between punk, goth, emo anyway? help please (link)
This is the question I ask myself, on a daily basis. And I still haven't understood why people label others, anymore than I did yesterday. I'm not sure if I ever will, or you either. Because I think you almost have to be in that position, and feel that way, to label others and understand it all. Or a psychologist. And being as you are wondering "why?" you must not be that kind of person.

I'm glad someone else feels the same as I do, because a lot of people seem to be so superficial, these days. No matter where you are, or who you are. Someone has to judge you, and they always do. And in my opinion, with the media's influence, and the human nature of some people, they always will judge. Of course, in some manner, I believe we all judge. Only some take it further than others.

Hopefully, one day it will at least get better. Anything could be better than the way it is, right now.

And to answer your questions --

Punk: "a type of rock-'n'-roll, reaching its peak in the late 1970s and characterized by loud, insistent music and abusive or violent protest lyrics, and whose performers and followers are distinguished by extremes of dress and socially defiant behavior."

Goth: "noting or pertaining to a style of literature characterized by a gloomy setting, grotesque, mysterious, or violent events, and an atmosphere of degeneration and decay." All of this is translated into their style.

Emo: "pertaining to or involving emotion or the emotions."

All of these definitions are from www.dictionary.com

was the movie texas chainsaw massacre based on real events? because i've always wanted to know!! (link)
Well, it was inspired by true events, but not based on them. Meaning, a lot of this movie is completely factual, but some of it is also an act of fiction.

when someone is a camera whore, does that mean that they're really pretty and would be perfect for pictures or a slut that takes dirty pics of themselfs? I see many nice looking people that takes pictures but people would call them cam whore and it sounds mean it me.. (link)
No, it's not mean intended at all. See, it means that you love the camera, you get in every single picture you can, you crave that attention and love being the center of that attention from the camera.

when doctors say that you should have your period every 28 days, does it mean from the day your previous period stops to the day your next period starts? or does it mean from the day your previous period starts until the day your next period starts? (link)
It's from the start of your cycle, to the start of your next cycle. And not every woman/girl has a period span that consists of 28 days, some a less number and some a larger number. Because of irregular periods, sometimes having an abnormal period, and other things come into factor, too.

I cannot seem to help my food intake or "craving" problem. I am not fat, only 115 pounds, but Im afraid if I keep up the cravings I will be heavier. I do dance and other sports, but I just want to be a little skinnier. The craving is so overwhealming it seems I can't stop it. I dont know what to do!
Thanks for you help!
(link)
I think most of us have these cravings, at least every now and then. I'll admit that I do sometimes. Here's what I think you do -- eat healhy snacks (Special K bars, a bowl of cereal, fruits, vegetables, yogurt, tuna, etc.) and do proper exercise. Running on a treadmill, or going to the gym three times a week or even do some crunches every night.

I really like this guy Jake, right? I'm 14 and he's 14 & he's in a few of my classes. Football player, hockey player, honor roll...perfect. We're friends & talk all the time, but we don't hang out one-on-one because I'm not as physically attractive as his past girlfriends.
I like him a lot, and I'd like him to ask me out, but I'm what my school would call fat-a size six. I know, I know. Fat. But is there a way that I can act, or something I can do, or say, or change my look, to make him like me as more than a friend?
(link)
Once I ran across your question, I definitely felt the need to answer it. First off, a size six is anything but fat, that's a healthy and thin weight. I think you should be proud for the body that you have, rather than these other girls who are literally carrot sticks for only the sake of a simple pound. So please, do not think you're fat, or overweight. You are beautiful, no matter what size you are. So there is no need to shoot yourself down, by thinking you're not as pretty as those other girls that this guy has dated. Believe me, even the most beautiful girls in America can be so mean, and cruel. I've met them, and I know how it is.

That's definitely a reason why I don't judge people on their looks, because it has absolutely nothing to do with their personality. It only emphasizes a person's inner beauty, and some people's inner ugly (for the mean ones.)

The absolute best advice I can give you is to just be yourself, and act like your normally would in your average everyday life. You don't need to change yourself for this guy. If he's a good guy and does like you more than a friend, he will like you for who you really are. Not who you pretend to be or who he wants you to be.

I wish you nothing but the best of luck, and I'm positive everything will work out great for you. With or without this guy.

It looks like a mix between a poodle and a cocker spaniel, in my opinion.
