I keep pondering whether God is supporting homosexuality, or opposing it. Many of my Christian friends have told me it's a sin to be homosexual, or bisexual for that matter, and according to the bible marriage is between a man and a woman. However, I always viewed it as God would accept you no matter who you are, or what you believe in. I am wondering which side I should take. I am not against homosexuality/bisexuality at all. I am befriended with many of them, and they don't bother me. It's just I am not sure which side is right, and which side I should go for. I need explainations on which side is better, even if it's based on opinion. Thanks in advance! (link)

It is important for you to have a clear picture of how you view the Bible. Is it the word of God, or not?
As for which side is "better," there really isn't an answer for you.
If you believe the Bible is the word of God, then it is time to consider the following:
1Corithians 6:9-10: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
... In this case the KJV is the most polite.
So here you have something to consider:
"...shall not inherit the kingdom of God..."
... is pretty direct and to the point.
Am I against homosexuals? No. Do I feel sorry for them in the light of the above verse? Yes.
So you see, God will accept anyone who REPENTS (abandons, and turns away from) of their sin.
I have had this conversation quite a few times with various homosexual men and women I have met. The answer seems to always come back:
"I don't want to inherit any such kingdom!"
... At which point, you will only be pushing them further away by pursuing it.
I could list the other relevant Biblical references, but I imagine you are familiar with them already.
It comes down to your personal beliefs.
Do you believe the Bible is the word of God?
If you don't, then there really isn't much point in calling yourself a Christian.
If you do, then you have your answer.
It is important to remember that everyone's salvation is worked out between them and God.
Beating someone over the head about it, may be counter productive, while living an exemplary life is your best witness.
I would say that is you believe the Bible as the word of God, then there is little room for doubt that the God of the Bible considers homosexuality a sin. Abomination is, after all, a VERY strong word.
Many homosexual people want nothing to do with God, have rejected the idea of there being any kind of god at all.
This is very important: It is your right to believe in God. It is each other person's right to believe or not believe in God.
Just as you would rather not have anyone else tell you that you are forbidden to believe in God, it is the same for others.
Prayer and living an exemplary life, now and always, are, in my opinion, your most effective venues if you wish to intercede for someone.
To summarize: In my mind, there is NO doubt that the God of the Bible considers homosexuality a sin.
If you believe in said God, and you don't want to piss him off, you back his play.
So, if you don't think it is a sin, where it is made plain that according to the belief system to which you subscribe (Christianity,) then the problem isn't with the homosexuals at all, but rather with your own knowledge of your faith. :-)

I'm so sick of being alive. Everything is so hard. I can't stand it. It's like I'm doing something wrong. I have few friends, but it doesn't matter because I don't like them. I don't like any one. People don't meet my standards and they never will. And when it comes to girls I have no idea what I'm doing. It's like there's some secret technique that every one but me seems to understand. My problems with girls contribute the most to my loneliness and depression. I'm unmotivated in school, because I care more about trying to find a place I belong, trying to find some one who understands me. I can hardly sleep because I'm always worrying about all this. I'm scared I'll never have friends. I'm scared I'll never have a good job. I'm scared I'll never have my first kiss or have sex, and if I do it will be with some one I don't want to do it with. Somewhere between now and the next few years I 100% sure I'll be dead. I can't take it anymore. I've been to therapy and they even locked me up like a criminal in a mental health ward, but to no avail. I hate life. I hate myself. I hate every one, especially if they're happy. I don't see things ever getting better. Please help me. And don't post anything about God, Jesus, or religion of any kind, it will be an automatic 1 on your rating. (link)

Ever wondered why you don't like other people? From the comment about "...especially if they're happy." it seems like jealousy.
Did something once happen to you that left you feeling like somebody got something that belonged to you? Perhaps you have never forgiven them for it?
Hard to say, really. Some of the things that screw us up the most happened before we were really conscious of what was going on around us. Naturally, that makes them very difficult to figure out and solve.
As for girls, well, you really do have a problem there. Girls, typically more so than boys, seek approval. With you openly hating them, well... you can see how that might be counterproductive.
Before you say: "But they don't know it!" ... let me tell you that they do.
You know how they say animals can sense fear? It is true, and people can sense much more complex issues than fear.
Have you considered that you were given a great gift, and instead of doing something productive with it, you have chosen to sit on your high-horse, so to speak, and look down on others?
Your intelligence is obviously above average. So what will you do with it? What you have been? Judging people against your own standards?
That is a sure road to a lonely place, and you found your way there already.
Now, as for your threat of a 1 for anyone actually answering your question with what makes them content... the first 1 you leave will be your last. We don't allow people to threaten people with ratings. For any reason. Ratings of 1 are reserved SOLELY for people who advise illegal activity and give advice harmful to the questioner. No exceptions.
This worked for me, and it will work for you:
Look outside yourself. Stop with the pity-party. That(lack of confidence) is one of the biggest turn-offs to the opposite sex.
What can you do to stop pitying yourself? Start actually doing something for others.
Smart guy, so why not tutor someone else in a subject which troubles them?
Offer to ASSIST someone with a project. Don't insist on credit. Give something without expecting a return.
So far I can anticipate your reaction, and I have a wildcard:
Go do volunteer work at a homeless shelter/mission/whatever they have where you are.
You will suddenly find that all the problems which you are so busy destroying your life over, are small problems which will fix themselves.
Your problems aren't worth freaking out over. There isn't a person alive who was gifted in the I.Q. department, that hasn't felt what you are claiming here.
You will eventually meet people who can trump you. That problem will self fix.
The girl problem will self fix, when you stop pitying yourself and start doing for others. Girls want a guy that will do for them... if you are so busy obsessing about yourself, what does that leave for them? If you don't think they can sense that... you are wrong.
Some people have secular things outside themselves which they focus on, in order to help others and actually DO something with their lives.
Some people, have a faith in God, and seek to help others, or find some way to serve others, in order to actually DO something with their lives.
It isn't up to you to decide what is working for others. In fact, at this point, you aren't really in a position to judge anyone about much of anything. ;-)
In fact, if you stop and look, you will find that 100% of the problems you listed here are caused by you appointing yourself a judge over others.
You stop doing that, find something worthwhile to DO, not talk about, and your life will fix itself.

ok... so, on my brothers computer I went to a site, and i got a virus, actually a trojan.... it took me about a week to realize that the reason why I couldn't get rid of the virus... is because it has attached itself to a WINDOWS file... and I do not have access to them... even on the administrator user... sooo... how can I get rid of the virus, my friend told me to get a HEX EDITOR, and I did.... but I don't know how to use one??? it had a lot of blocks... and I can enter numbers... and a symbol will come up on the other side...??? I have no clue wat to do, if anyone has any other simpler way of getting rif of this PLEASE help me...if it helps its C:\WINDOWS\comdlg64.dll is the file that is infected (link)

First thing first: Don't take any more tech advice from your friend. ;-)
I would tell you how to just remove that one file, but I am afraid it would trigger a destructive payload hidden in another file on your system.
Without knowing which trojan you have, I cannot point you to specific removal instructions for that exact one.
Common ones that use that file are:
Wupd
BraveSentry
AlfaCleaner
Looksky-BX
... among others.
These usually seem to piggyback on bogus anti-spyware programs. They will not actually remove it unless you pay to register their program. :-(
Have you have already run the common free tools for cleaning your system?

I have this "fluttering" feeling in my heart. It's like a heavy heartbeat. I can feel my heartbeat pumping without me moving a muscle. It's scary. Somestimes (not alot) it hurts in my heart/chest. It happens several times a day for a long period of time each time. Occasionally I feel a weird feelig in my left arm, but that's just like 1 out of 20 times I have the strange heartbeat feeling.
Does anyone know what is going on? I'm a female, age 17. I'm not suppose to have heart problems yet!! Pleas help!!

If you have pain in your chest, and an odd sensation in your arm, even once, you should pick up the phone and dial 911.
Tell them what is happening to you, your age, and all the symptoms you have, just like you did here.
You could have any number of problems which aren't too scary, but the symptoms you have are scary.
I am not a doctor. I can only tell you what I would do in your situation:
1) Dial 911
2) Make sure someone you know knows what is happening in case you lose consciousness.
... Don't be afraid to dial 911. They will not be mad at you... they are there to help people with trouble just like you.
Please don't risk your health by delaying even one minute.
Pick up the phone and tell them what you told us here. They care, and they want to help you.

i got a shot of penicillin today for strep.
when i was leaving the doctor's office, i got dizzy, my body fealt completely numb and i threw up.
the nurse said it happens sometimes, but now my heart is doing something weird.
it's beating really hard, or fast, or something.
i thought it was just the penicillin being absorbed, but i'm not sure.

Call your doctor immediately. I am not a doctor, but I can tell you from experience that absolutley nothing weird should be happening to you.
I had a really bad go around with strep when I was a kid. I saw a few people with mild, and not so mild reactions.
The reactions to antibiotics can be really sudden and sever, you need to be in touch with medical people right this very minute. Do not wait.
Tell whoever is in the house with you right this second, since it is possible to be disabled by such a reaction. If they don't know what is happening they can't help you.
If your parents can't reach your doctor, call 911 and tell them EXACTLY what you have posted here. They will know what to do.
You need to do this right away. Please do not wait even another minute.
Never take chances with your health. The 911 people will not be mad if you call them, that is what they are there for.
Now:
1) Tell whoever is in the house
2) Get on the phone to your doctor
3) Call 911 and tell them that you had a shot of penecillin, and tell them exactly what is happening to you.
They will have someone to take care of you.
Do this NOW.

Better to answer the unasked question first:
What is wrong with a locked phone?
Real world example: You go to T-Mobile and buy a Nokia 3250 phone.
T-Mobile has had that phone custom made for them, so it can ONLY be used with T-Mobile. If you want to change to Verizon, you have to BUY ANOTHER PHONE.
All the major cell phone carriers do this to keep you from changing providers when you find out they suck.
If you buy an un-locked phone, you take the phone to T-Mobile and they set you up. You decide you don't like them for whatever reason, and want to try Cingular's cell service instead.
Your phone will work with T-Mobile, Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, or anyone else that offers that level of service... because it isn't "locked" by the company you bought it from.
Been there, done that. Bought a great phone from Sprint, moved where sprint had no service and had to just stick the phone in a box because it was locked to Sprint ONLY.

Without knowing where you live, it is difficult to give exact names of piercing places. Most of the ones who carry a full line of piercing jewelery aren't chain stores.
... would bring up a list of places in that area. Just exchange the city and state for your own, and you would be amazed what you might find.
A dedicated tattoo and piercing place is your best bet for sure.

I'm 16 years old.
I'm taking accutane, and about a week after I started taking it, I started to have rectal bleeding when I go to the bathroom. It isn't very bloody at all. When I wipe, there's just a little pink stuff that is obviously blood (again, there's not much at all. and it isn't like I leak blood).
Anyways, my dermatologist didn't mention rectal bleeding when putting me on accutane, but on online forums, people have noticed the same thing. Should I be concerned? Is rectal bleeding serious, or is it normal every once in a while due to medication?

You wouldn't believe the list of side effects on this.
My advice is to call your doctor ASAP, tell him/her what is happening and tell them that you read on the FDA website that this is a known side effect and an indicator of possible internal organ damage.
This isn't something you should wait on. When I say ASAP, I mean call your doctor as soon as possible.
It may be completely unrelated, but that isn't a chance I would take with my body.

Please... no more questions about this package that got returned. What is this, 4 or five questions about this now?
Seriously, very few people, if any, here work for the post office. This means when you are having delivery problems to a specific address, there isn't a thing at all that anyone here can do to help you.
You go to your local post office, where you sent the package, and you discuss it with them. They are the only ones that can troubleshoot what is happening between you and your friend.
I suggest you take care of this right away, since dealing with this in the middle of the Christmas rush is really bad timing.

Click the "Your Advice Column" link on the left side menu, and look in the location bar of your web browser.
Simply copy what is there (highlight it, then right-click "copy) and paste it (put the cursor where you want to paste it, and right-click, then "Paste") and off you go.

Please understand that I am concerned for you. You are so thin that your body will have no choice but to use your muscles and other vital tissues to live on.
If you are eating a normal amount, not normal for you, but normal as in for your age and height, then it is possible you have a parasite problem, a glandular dysfunction, or an advanced form of some serious illness.
You need to see a doctor without delay.
Am I serious? Let me explain exactly what I thought when I saw your pix: "I have seen pictures from the Nazi death camps of World War II... and some of those people were healthier than this poor girl!"
I hope you will take this to heart, pick up the phone and make an appointment with your doctor.
You aren't just skinny, you are in desperately bad health, please seek help before your body is totally destroyed.
By the way, the BMI calculator you were talking about, always errs on the side of skinny, so if it said you were underweight, you should believe it.

Hello there,
I am sorry your puppy is sick. It is really hard to take their little whimpers when they are perfectly healthy pups, but a sick puppy crying is like murder to the soul of anyone who cares for animals.
As for your question, I am NOT a vet. With that in mind I will tell you two things that make pedialyte seem like a bad call:
Not a sterile solution.
The sugars might be ok, but the other ingredients which are helpful to people, might be fatal to your puppy.
A sterile solution of lactated ringers (very cheap) will be a much better choice in my non-medical opinion. It is a balanced mixture of dextrose in saline, which should also be prepared in a sterile manner.
You should just pick up the phone and call a local vet, they will likely give you the info you need at no charge, and perhaps sell you the things you need to hydrate your puppy at home. (Very cheaply too, I might add.)
Injecting under the skin might be something that comes after intubating the puppy to insert the liquids directly into the stomach. You should get ahold of your vet, or any respected veterinarian for that matter, and ask about the solution you need, and how to best administer fluids to a sick puppy.
(Notice: After reading the link below about NOT tubing pups, I would be reluctant to do so on my own. The reasons expressed by that person make perfect sense, which makes injecting sub-cutaneous fluids into the puppy look safer, when done by a vet.)
Neither of these methods should be performed by someone who has never done them before. Done wrong, either one of them will kill you puppy outright, or make the dog impossible for the vet to save.
Again, please take this advice: DO NOT do this on your own, without talking to your vet.
