I have this "fluttering" feeling in my heart. It's like a heavy heartbeat. I can feel my heartbeat pumping without me moving a muscle. It's scary. Somestimes (not alot) it hurts in my heart/chest. It happens several times a day for a long period of time each time. Occasionally I feel a weird feelig in my left arm, but that's just like 1 out of 20 times I have the strange heartbeat feeling.
Does anyone know what is going on? I'm a female, age 17. I'm not suppose to have heart problems yet!! Pleas help!!

If you have pain in your chest, and an odd sensation in your arm, even once, you should pick up the phone and dial 911.
Tell them what is happening to you, your age, and all the symptoms you have, just like you did here.
You could have any number of problems which aren't too scary, but the symptoms you have are scary.
I am not a doctor. I can only tell you what I would do in your situation:
1) Dial 911
2) Make sure someone you know knows what is happening in case you lose consciousness.
... Don't be afraid to dial 911. They will not be mad at you... they are there to help people with trouble just like you.
Please don't risk your health by delaying even one minute.
Pick up the phone and tell them what you told us here. They care, and they want to help you.
Please leave a feedback note when you are taken care of. I am sitting over here worrying about you. :-(

You should absolutely see a doctor.
Having said that, I had a problem where my heart would skip a beat all the time. (it was actually skipping and then beating a really hard beat at the end of the skip, so it felt like "flutter... ka-THUMP") I had that problem for about a year. I eventually found out that the cause of my problem was artificial sweeteners. I stopped consuming artificial sweeteners (aspartame aka Nutrasweet, to be exact) and my problem cleared up in 3 days.
I'm not a doctor, and I'm not saying this is your problem, but if you drink diet sodas or consume any artificial sweeteners, it couldn't hurt to cut them out of your diet.

It may be nothing at all but why take that chance.
Heart problems in young adults is not unheard of. Lets hope that isn't the case with you, but never take a chance by not getting it checked out. Not to mention you will feel so much better knowing what is going on.
