I get made fun of a lot because I have red hair so people call me firecrotch AND Im not very pretty. I look like a fish. Anyway, guys on my bus are always making fun of me..and I want to know what I say to them. Swearing isnt working - they just mock me and it just gives them a reaction.

I am amanda and i dont have red hair but i totally want it. all they guys take one look at me and think that i am a ditz and a ho and they can get stuff from me because i am blond.so be glad that you are different. i would kill to look like you. and you know what those guys on the bus are fags and the only reason that they are picking on you is because they are too immature and ignorant to see that you are way to good looking for them to even consider likeing you. and i know that it may have confused you what i just said but think about it... the only reason that they would be picking on you was because they were jealous and insecure about themselves. keep your chin up hun. I know that it is hard but if you dont listen to them they will eventually stop teasing you and start teasing someone else. i hope that i could help.=)

Okay everybody is pretty in their own way. You are really lucky to have red hair not everybody has red hair. Everybody is different and those boys on the bus are just jerks don't listen to them. Eventually they'll stop if you ignore them. If you sit by someone on the bus that you talk to alot just keep talking to them and just ignore them. It will be hard to ignore people who are making fun of you. You can't stop them from making fun of you but maybe they'll stop but just forget about them and enjoy all the stuff thats good about you.

& you know having red hair is something great in my opinion I'd love to have it, because people don't realize not everybody has amazingly gorgeous straight blonde or brown hair. So love what if 'different' about you.

You're beautiful. Thinking that you're not is pretty immature. Everyone goes through it, including me, but everyone gets over it too. Get over it sooner than later. Look at yourself in the mirror. I'm sure that deep down you will agree with me. The quicker you realize that the quicker the nasty comments will stop. If you have self confidence, nobody will want to pick on you and if they do it won't bother you one bit. The redhead stuff, I've heard it all. I'm a redhead too. It always bothered me, but I never took anything seriously and deep down I had self confidence even if I didn't show it. If I could go back and do it again, I would not have let anybody's garbage bother me and I would let my self confidence show.
There's four choices that you have for handling this situation. Fight, run, join, or deal. If it gets personal "fight" is the best option. Not "fight" as in punch them in the face, but "fight" as in stick up for yourself. "Run" should only be an option if you are in physical danger. If it's just random comments about your appearance "join" is the best option. If you start picking on yourself you'll have a good time. Just be sarcastic about it so that other people know that you don't believe what you are saying. Doing this will usually shut them right up and will make things between you much more pleasant. If you don't have any intention of being friendly or pleasant with the people that are picking on you and you completely hate their guts, "deal". Be better than them and just let it go. You have friends to vent to about it later in the day. Everybody gets picked on for something. One person might be painfully stupid, another might be tall, someone else is a bitch, another person is a momma's boy...the list goes on. The comments they get are just as painful as yours. It's not like they can help what they are especially if it is physical characteristic. That's why it bothers you even if you don't take it to heart.
So, know that every single other redhead and other person on the planet is getting the same crap that you are. Don't do what I did and let it get to you. I do have good news for you though. Once you get out of high school it will pretty much stop. People will grow up and forget that they even picked on you at all. Good luck. :)

human's first reaction is to cuss and stuff like that to people that are bothering them. but the best thing to do is just look at them and laugh. it shows that you really don't care what they have to say because they're wasting their time making fun of you. just be happy that they're giving you attention, haha. just be like, wow, it's flattering that you take up all your time to talk about me but really, it's pathetic that you have nothing else to do. they're annoying you because they WANT you to be annoyed, if you show them that they're not bothering you, they'll eventually leave you alone.

i looked at your picture and i actually double checked because i didnt see and ugly hair. your cute..in the picture your hair doesnt look that red but it could be the lighting. i think maybe you need to learn to love your self i think its the atmosphere youve been put in. there is always going to be a negative person or group to put you down. but ask yourself whats so great about them.ignore them wear head phones. theres nothing that i could see wrong with yu. im suprised of your attitude because the girl in the photo looks so confident.i think these boys need to grow a brain. just shrug them off ive learned that there comes a point in your life when you just got think screw it and move on and be happy.there hatefulness is ugly and if met them i wouldnt give them the time of day. hate is for pussies.

Look, all of these guys are a bunch of jerk -- plain and simple. They're not even worth your time, they are only a waste of it. They don't deserve your time, you're much better than them. Everyone is beautiful, it doesn't matter what haircolor you have or exactly what features you have -- none if this is true beauty. You're beautiful inside and out, and as long as you have confidence and love yourself for who you are, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Honestly, do not worry about these guys. They're really not worth it. I know, I do not know you but I can tell that you are a beautiful person, and I think you're beautiful on the outside also. I think you're really pretty, and I'm positive many others think so too. :)

Okay. I looked at you. You are making a fish face, but I don't think you probably usually look like a fish. You seem like a young woman with good grooming, above-average intelligence, and above-average looks. I'd say you are pretty. One picture won't lead me to declare that you're model material, but I see nothing you should be ashamed of.
As for "firecrotch," how would they know? They never will, right? See, bullies don't pick on the ugliest ones. I'm sure there are uglier, poorer, less intelligent, less popular, geekier, (whatever category) kids out there than you, right? They pick on whoever they can get to respond. So nothing you can say to them will make a difference. If you want it to stop, either stay away from them or report their behavior at school. The school counselor should speak with them about what they're doing. It's called sexual harassment and it's serious. The bus driver should be informed and should watch for this behavior.
Other than that, avoid them and don't take the bait when you do see them. Try to be with other people, like friends, so you don't feel so alone. This is a good opportunity to make a friend on the bus if you don't have one already. And remember, you have about 5 more months in the school year. Maybe next year you will drive to school or you'll go to another school. This isn't permanent, only a temporary problem, and if you can get through this, you can face the next challenge.
Be confident. Know your value. Remember those who love you. And don't respond to these boys' lowlife attempts to destroy you.

Everyone has beauty whether it be on the inside or out. Ignore them losers they only make fun of other people because they have nothing better to do or theres something wrong in their lives so they pick on other people. If you ignore them and act like it doesnt bother you they will give up on it. Your cute so idk what their talking about. I'm made fun of a lot too, and there are two things that you can do to shut them up. 1-look at them, smile and say "yeah, you're right..." then say something to make fun of yourself. But that's not my favorate. 2-you can ignore them...who cares what they think? For all they know, you are going to be a model when you grow up...change happens...no one knows. 3-smile at them and say "yep I am" and then look away and continue with something else like reading or whatever.yeah...these may not seem like the best. But when you react like this it surprises the crap out of the people making fun of you... Have you ever heard of a girl that walks into a bathroom and girls look at her weird becuase she has a bunch of zits, and befor anyone can make fun of her she smiles and says, "geese, if I had anymore zits I could play connect the dots on my face!" everyone laughed and no one got to make fun of her, she did it for them, but she didn't get hurt like it would have hurt her if they would have said something... that's a good one...
