my best guy friend says that he wants to have sex with me before we graduate. we're sophmores. i dont mind because i care about him because he is one of my best friends but if i have sex with him will it ruin our friendship?
Melody answered Thursday November 30 2006, 5:50 pm: If you want to have sex with him then that's fine. But you're only sophomores, so you have plenty of time to decide what you want to do before graduation. It may ruin your friendship, there is always that chance. But if it's something you are willing to risk, then do it. [ Melody's advice column | Ask Melody A Question ]

First you want to make sure you want to have sex then talk to him about it cause there is a chance it can ruin your relationship as friends.
MummuM answered Sunday November 26 2006, 12:33 pm: It depends, most of the time sex will ruin a friendship or will make the friendship harder. My good friend and I had sex once and we hardly even talk now. It might be different with you, though. Sex might not even do anything to the friendship you have with him. Just make sure you are 100% ready; don't do anything you don't want to do. [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]

SecretBoy89 answered Friday November 24 2006, 10:49 pm: First of all, if he really IS your best friend, he wouldn't be trying to "get with you". I think he's been lying to you. If a guy really wants to be "best freinds" with a girl, he wouldn't be trying to SLEEP WITH HER... Be careful because he might just want to do you before high school because he thinks he might not get the chance to if he never sees you after high school. If he was a true best friend, he wouldn't try to do it with you... Be smart and ditch the fake. All he wanted from you was sex and now he thinks he can get it... I hope you think about it carefully because if a guy and girl are best friends, they wouldn't be trying to do it. hehe I hope this helps. [ SecretBoy89's advice column | Ask SecretBoy89 A Question ]
DefinedEyes answered Friday November 24 2006, 10:19 pm: Yes I think it will.
I dont think a lot of people realize that sex is more than just a physcial thing, its completely emotional. Its awkward, and personal, and you want to do it with the right person. You cant ever take it back, and I'm pretty sure you will always remember it. I have friends who have had sex in the grade you are in now, and they REGRET it, you could get pregnant, no matter if you are best friends. You will always have the emotions and the feelings towards him. Sex creates feelings, just like kissing. It changes your feelings towards him, and it would make you feel most likely , that you like him more than a friend. And he might not like you back the same way. I know this is long, but I'm just saying, I highly suggest you dont do it with him! Wait until you find the perfect person.

Anq3L_xO answered Friday November 24 2006, 2:33 am: I would say yes, having sex with your best friend would ruin your relationship, but it depends on the circumstances. It could make things awkward, or it could strengthen your friendship. If you're not looking to make anything of the sexual encounter, and you're both looking at the experience as casual friendly sex, then you should be okay. It could go bad, if one of you happens to like the sex and want more, or if there would be drama with other friends. In the end, it's totally up to you, if you do it, don't regret it, because it's what you really wanted to do. If you don't do it, then you would have found a good reason not to. But it seems like you have plenty of time to think about it, so just wait it out and see how things go down the road. Good luck. -Angel [ Anq3L_xO's advice column | Ask Anq3L_xO A Question ]
hoji answered Friday November 24 2006, 1:24 am: but most of the time it just complicates the friendship, and its usually a good start for a friendship circles demise.
but its not as simple as that, it all depends on what kind of people you are. [ hoji's advice column | Ask hoji A Question ]
Luyah answered Friday November 24 2006, 1:23 am: My best guy friend is an FWB, and it certainly hasn't ruined our friendship - quite the reverse, in fact.
But, do you WANT to have sex with HIM ?
It's not a question of minding - but you're under no obligation, and shouldn't feel that you are.
girlmeetsboy answered Friday November 24 2006, 1:21 am: i mean i guess you can have sex with him, but i dont see the point in it. you guys are just having sex for the hell of it, or you like eachother? if you had sex with him, it probably won't ruin your friendship, unless something happens.. its a risk. i really can't decide for you.
