My favourite book of all time is The Pursuit Of Happiness by Douglas Kennedy.

It's pretty heavy going but it's got drama, comedy, excitement and at one point I actually started crying!! Stupid I know but it;s a very involved book and very emotional. Beautifully written and a unique tale.

well i really like a series of unfortunate events because whenever i read one of them i can't put the book down, i just get lost in it.
It's about these 3 siblings who lose their parents in a fire and have to live with unknown relatives whilst an evil man tries to get his hands on the money the siblings parents left them behind.

I like the Harry Potter series. It opens up your imagination.

Animal Farm and 1984 by George Orwell are two great classics. 1984 is about what George Orwell thought it would be like in 1984. I'm reading Animal Farm right now and it's good. It's about policts but with animals! Woot!

I loved Of Mice and Men. I forget who it was by sorry! Anyway, the ending really makes you think. It's sad but you have to think "Was it the right thing to do?" It's about two friends, one is mentally retarded, trying to make money in the 1930s.

Memories of Summer is extremely short (50 or 60 pages). However, it brought tears to my eyes. It's about a girl's sister slowly going insane.

The First Five People You Meet in Heaven is great. It's a bout a man who dies and his journey to his heaven. He meets five people who played important roles in his life.

The Divinci Code. Mind opening. Talks about different theories of Christ.

Well i love to read...ya some people might call me a loser but im not lol! Here are some of my favorites:
The Gossip Girls series
it's about rich girls living in new york city..who are extremly privelegded and get to do things normal people only dream of...it's meant for teen girls

1st To Die (i think its by John Grisham or Dean Koontz)
this is a really good book abotu a serial killer who goes around killing newly weds....it has a lot of twists!!

Lovely Bones
one of the best books ever! it's about a girl who gets raped and murdered and cut up into pieces by her neighbor..and it's told from her point of view from heaven..as she watches down on her family and watches how they deal with her death and how they search for her remains..it's a very sad book but it's seriosuly the best..you'll never wanna put it down!

The Davinci Code
im actually in the middle of reading this one..it's secret religious groups and the conspiracy that Jesus Christ was actually married to Mary Magdeline and got her pregnant! from that description it sounds lik a religious book but it's not...its an awesome mystery..that keeps you on the edge of your seat..for real. it's so interesting because there's alot of randon facts that you've never heard of before...i definitly reccomend it!

There's a few...hope you like them!

Sci Fi--
Nightfall by Isaac Asimov : It's about a world that lives in perpetual light, and what happens when the inhabitants experience darkness for the first time.
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card : About a boy who is sent to a battle academy in space, has an AMAZING ending.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy : Absolutely hilarious, a hundred times better than the movie.
Other--
A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry : A great book about the caste system in India... very long, but absolutely amazing
White Oleander : About a girl who goes through the foster system after her mother is imprisoned.
Watership Down : A really good book about a rabbit warren, it relates really well to human society.

These are some of my favourites, a lot of really good books in here.

okay well obviously, it depends on your taste in books .. i usually prefer books that were in the 'little house on the prarie' times, or ones about modern day girls my age.

the 'prarie river' by Kristiana Gregory series was really good;; i LOVED it. it took place around the 16/1700's .. maybe even early 1800's?

'Ida B' by Katherine Hannigan was also EXCELLENT. it was about a young girl who is very interesting to read about. it's probably my favorite book ever =]

there's this other book, that's sort of like a long poem .. but it's really interesting .. and it's still a story, but it's very good. it's called 'Heartbeat' and it's by Sharon Creech. I read it whenever i'm bored, because it's pretty short, and i can probably read it in an hour or so .. it depends. *i recommend this book if you 'just feel like reading' .. i get those moods too and it always suits me =]

okay well those are my favorites, and if you want to read more about them you can go to www.books.google.com and see them =]

H0PE I HELPED YA!! [♥]

Well, some of my favorite books that I highly reccomemend are:

"Annie's Baby" by Beatrice Sparks:
It's about a young 14 year old girl who get's raped and pregnant by her boyfriend, who ends up denying the fact that he's the father (you know-like immature guys who don't know that it takes 2 to tango). Anyways, she reveals her stuggles through a diary, and you'll just have to read the book tofind out the rest.

Jean and Johnny [not sure of the author]
It's of a girl who's confused between love and what is a fraud when she goes for a hot guy, who she actually believes likes her, when that's no where near the truth. Through the story, he lies and schemes against her-It's a good book.

"Finding My Voice" by Marie G. Lee:
It about an American-born Korean senior who faces racial slurs in her high school as well as harsh remarks, jealously, pressure to excel in school, college, and having a boyfriend. This book was insanely AWESOME!

I hope I helped and that you find what you're looking for!

Okay I have two:

1.)The Truth About Forever-Sarah Dessen
This story is about a girl who just graduated and the summer of fun and romance that lies ahead. It is easy reading and an intregging novel for any teenager.

2.)The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower-Stephen Chobosky
This book was by far the best book I've ever read. It's about a freshmen who is confinding in a stranger by sending him letters. This book is the perfect comming of age book. Every molment you feel his pain. Some molments in the novel are a little strange but you'll understand in the end.

Hope i helped these are absolutly fonominal books happy hunting<3Luck&&love

sizzlinmandolin answered Tuesday April 11 2006, 7:53 pm:
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is great. It takes place in the future. Earth, in the past had been attacked by aliens and another impending attack causes the government to start training genious kids in military tactics. Ender is chosen as one of these kids and is a lot younger than the other kids in his class. He feels like a complete outcast and struggles a lot socially. Much else will give away the ending. If you like sci-fi and video games you will love this book. If you're into fantasy, the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is good. If you're into law and lawyers, John Grisham writes very good books, much of which have become movies (The Firm, A Time To Kill, The Pelican Brief, The Client, The Runaway Jury). Good luck in finding something!

Personally i don't really care for reading, and i found a few books that i actually liked and wanted to read. I'm not sure if you're m/f, so im gonna say you're female. There's a series of books called The A-list. That's the first one and you'll se the rest of them with it. It's pretty much just about this girl and all the drama in her life, so if you don't like drma in your life but in other people's then thats the way to go! Also, all the gossip girl books are really good.. any books like that are good for teenage girls..& if you're a guy just ignore everything i said!
