Period Plan
I was wondering if anyone can help me make a plan of when to change "supplies" during my school schedule. I'm only in middle school, so no one uses purses yet. There's also this one girl who ALWAYS searches my pencil case to find gum and whatnot so I can't use my pencil case! I go to my locker before lunch time, and in past situations I have picked up a purse in which I put a pad in. But, I hate using purses because its SO obvious that when you carry a purse to the bathroom, you have your period!! I don't know any other ways! I don't want to buy anything at school because the dispncers have the worst brands. My tampon can not last ALL day and I'm a little scared to use jumbo because im sure they're hard to insert and other stuff. If anyone wants to contradict this idea please do so! I need some ideas!

What grade are you in? I'm in middle school and I carry around a purse. Every girl goes through their period and its very normal. I'm pretty close myself so I mean, yeah the pencil case is a bad idea but just use a purse.

well i carry arond a purse..and so what if people know if you on yuor period..ITS NORMAL..every girl has it..so they cant say anything..somegirls have it before others ..but you need to carry a purse..becasue its so much easier..i have 6 classes in one day..i wear a pad when i leave the house...i change it in 3rd period then i change it in 6th period..if your wearing a tampoon then you shouild also wear panty liner jut incase..but my opinin..you shouild bring a purse..look at all the girls in the mall..they all cary purses..and dont worry about the girls who dont worry abut purses..you worry about you..and nobody else but you..why shouild you care what the people say!!

well if its middle school then it doesnt really matter that you have your period because there are definatly other girls that have their period too. and you can also try going to the nurse. and Carrying a purse to the bathromo doesnt excatly mean that you have your period i see many girls they bring their purse to fix their makeup or w/e. and anyways everyone gets their period so its not like you should feel embarrassed of it. i suggest a PAD instead ?

you can put stuff in pockets, like in your jeans or a hoodie pocket, or you can just tuck it down the front of your pants if you're going right to the bathroom. hope this helps :)

do what i do, no matter where you are, take your purse. everytime i go to the bathroom, my purse goes with me, wether or not i have my period.
you could wear something with alot of pockets.. cargo pants and put a tampon in there.
or..you could wear a pad... they can last longer than a tampon.

I wouldn't use the jumbo kinds. They increase the risk of TSS and they can be uncomfortable to a virgin. There's nothing wrong with using a purse in middle school. I carried one last year (7th grade). They add to your outfit and maybe you'll end up starting a trend. It's not obvious that you have your period when you carry a purse, and usually when people have a purse, they bring it whereever they go, so it's not that noticable. Change it before you go to school, then at lunch. It shouldn't be embarrassing when you have your period. People don't really care when they know you're having your period. If you just want to use a pad, put it in your pocket (if it's not too thick, ya know?) Or you could always just keep it in your backpack (unless at your school you don't bring them whereever you go).

and im in 8th grade and well once people know that you have ur period they get all excited for you and the girls will ask u for advice and all for it and the guys even in my grade are to shy to talk about it let alone mid grade!! so dont stress over it so much i know where your coming from!

Well, I had this problem in middle school also with the purse thing. But I made it through =) What I did was, put it in my clothing when I could. For example: When I would go to my locker, I would take a tampon (very secretly so no one could see..) and stick it either in the top of my pants [but make sure it stays and doesn't fall out] OR if I was wearing long sleeves or a sweatshirt, stick it in the sleeve and hold it in there until I got to the bathroom. Another thing you could do is, if you don't have one already, buy one of those hoodies that have those secret zipper pockets in the front, and you can hold it in there! Winter is the easiest time for this, because you're always wearing long sleeves or hoodies! But if worse comes to worse, and you have nowhere to put it, bring a purse! I know you said it's totally obvious, and I get your point. I felt the same way. But who cares what people think? All the girls will understand, and they probably feel the same way as you do =)

I know what you mean about the purse thing...I would have felt like everyone was looking at me if I had done that. You could wear jeans with larger pockets and put them in your pocket like some other people have said or....I used to keep them in my gym locker. There's a bathroom in there and a lot of times there's no one or very few people in there and they're all girls. I don't know if this would work at your school, but it's an idea! i say you bring a purse with you. it doesnt have to be huge and noticeable, you can even keep extra pencils and pens in it. soon, every1 will be in the same situation as you so go for w/e feels right. (if you really dont feel its necessary then i say u buy every sweatshirt with a zipper pocket so it wont fall out :) good luck

I'd carry a purse it's no big deal personally i think you might be over raacting a bit...but i do to sometimes lol anyways carry a purse 24/7 so it's not just for a week then not for another month cause there's nothing weird about a girl carying a purse. But for the people suggesting the pockets thing i don't recommend it cause tampon and kinda an obvious shape and it might fall out and what happen if you only have on tampon and you loose it or drop or something than you be out luck and that's the time when you really don't wana be out of luck. So just get a small lil purse with a pocket and put the tampons/pad in a pocket in the purse. Also try carrying a backpack. Well you could also find a pocket in your binder to hide it in um.. yea sorry but that's really all i can think of. HOPE I HELPED!

yeah, a tampon in yur pocket might work. However, theres nothing wrong w/ carrying a purse. Yur friends will start doing that soon too anyway. Who knows, maybe you'll start a new trend at your school! haha. or hide a tampon in yur book or notebook then when yur at yur locker, hold it nd fold yur arms on yur way to the bathroom. Eventually, it will get easier, cus pretty soon, all the girls will have the same problems yur having!

Keep a tampon in a pocket. Some tampons are so tiny they'll barely make a budge. When you go to your locker, you can slip another tampon in if you've already changed once that day.
Changing around lunch time - just the once - should probably be okay unless you have a really heavy flow or usually change your tampon more often.
If you are wearing an outfit with no pockets, simply popping by you locker before lunch and holding the tampon in your fist (or in a lunch bag, if you bring lunch) and stopping by the bathroom is quick and discreet enough.
And if THAT doesn't work, then put it in your pencil case. If another girl sees the tampon, there are worse things - chances are she has the same worries as you.

no you cant have the same tampon all day, but if you put a minature (small) one in your trouser pocket or mayb jacket then no-one apart from you wil know. this is what i do all the time and no-one has any idea. hope i helped

well, start carrying a purse with you all the time. carry it with you everywhere. that is what i do. no one knows when i am and when i am not on my period. as for jumbo tampons...no clue im a pads girl!!!

put it in your pocket if you have any and if they are big enough. if not then just bring your backpack. thats what all my friends do. if your wearing one of those big sweaters put it in one of those pockets.
