i've been through alot, because i'm the youngest of three and only girl. i'm a real tomboy and i've been through multiple funerals, a brother in the marines, and him getting sent to africa for a year. ( i thank God each day he's back) a brother almost running away,the marine brother in jail twice. (just for speeding tickets) catching boys numerous times with their girlfriends home alone at my house.. (you know what that means) an aunt thinking i'm depressed and goth.. a grandma thinking i'm fat.. and much much much much more..

I know that my boyfriend is going to officially propose to me (19/f) sometime soon. He told me he bought a ring and that he's waiting for the right time to give it to me. I'm okay with the fact that he told me, I'm actually pretty glad about it. You see girls in the movies all the time that are pressured into going along with engagement. I think it was really respectful of him to talk about it with me, it's just that I'm not quite sure how to act when the time comes. Obviously I'll be happy, but since I'm probably not going to be surprised should I sort of pretend to be? I tend to show very little emotion and I think it might hurt his feelings if I don't appear to be happy or surprised or SOMETHING. I want it to be really special. Can anybody help me out here? (link)

Well, unless he's actually shown you the ring too, you will be suprised at what it looks like. You don't have to act suprised, because then he'll know you're being fake. Just act thankful, for him, that he engaged, and for the gorgeious ring, that he's paying for, that he wants to put on your finger. Just make sure that he knows that you love him just as much as he loves you.
And congrats, in advance, weddings are always fun.

i was just wondering about something. because the guy i like have been ♥ almost ♥ involved for a while now. we dated for 5 days but he dumped me cuz he liked someone else .. only to find out that she had a bf. he said he wouldn't have dumped me if he knew ..
so we were talkin and i was like "since we never really got a chance to try us dating .. do you think we could try it again" and hes like "yah i cood see us datin in the future" so i asked if he was gonna make me wait another 3 months and all he cood come up with was "i honestly dont know" .. but his friend shawn was tellin me how they ♥ ALWAYS ♥ talk about me .. and in study hall (because he sits outside) he cant wait for me to walk by so we can talk ..
so i guess my question is why isn't he doing anything about it if he likes me? why's he draggin it out .. im gettin so confused.
we hung out new years eve from like 9 to 3. he called me and he came to get me on his snow mobile and we rode back to his friend justins house. we both feel asleep (we were layin together on the futon) and then justin and him brough me home at 3. it was so much fun. we flirted really bad but he didnt make any moves. he always tells me im pretty and i have an amazing body or w/e .. guy stuff i guess c(-p ... but he doesnt do anything? does he just not want me? am i do something wrong ..
okay last thing! i promise =) .. sorry its so long. but today in study hall he was walkin by my locker while i was there. and he's like wanderin the halls jeez what did i tell you about that. and then shawns like no no shes goin to class. and i stopped walkin and started to open my locker and cody's like she's goin to her locker you dumb ass and then they laughed and he kinda just stood there and looked at me for a minute. not a weird look but just intent on lookin at me .. and then hes like ill see you in a bit and walked away. with shawn .. what's that suppose to mean

aww, don't you just hate boys sometimes?! lol. yeah so, he odviously likes you..*squeal* yay, and he wants to be with you, so you take charge. some guys like it when a girl can speak her mind. yeah, i know the ideal thing would be to just walk up and give him the best kiss he's ever had, but I mean, seriously, what girl in her right mind could manage to get up the guts to do that?? I would like, be soo happy if I had he guts to do that. It's odvious you like him, tell him. Heres what I would do: walk up to him, say hey zach...or whatever his name is.. [sorry i didn't catch it..]I like you, a lot. How do you feel about me? Then wait for him to answer.

when answering a question why does age play such a big factor. like for instance that 16/f that wanted a baby. i saw that everyone was like your too young,but who says that she wont make a great mother. and know one knows her living situation or money or anything.. it really doesnt say people just assume they know. it tells her to wait till shes 18. i bet there are 18 year olds out there that are much worse off than she is or wont be as good as of mother as she is. so maybe she is 16.. do you think we should just make assumptions about people like that? or would it better to know more about the person before answering? yeah, you make a really good point. as advice givers, we can only give advice on what the people tell us. so yes, we all have to make assumptions about things. We make assumtions by looking at what all they wrote, and how they wrote their question. Many times we can make important assumtions like, ages, if people didn't tell us.
and yes, you do make a good point. there are alot of 18 year old girls that could not, for the life of them, raise a child as good as some 16 year olds. but usually, wanting a child, if you aren't married, or even legally old enough to have sex, it's just a phase. if you notice, most of the girls that say they want a baby, have babysat kids since they were young and they want one that they can love and hold forever.
babys are a big responsibility,so, if you are still in high school, it is a good idea to tell the persons, girls, boys, or who ever wants the babies, that they should wait, so they can possibly give the baby a little bit better life than they would have given the baby if they hadn't finished highschool.
it would most certainly be better if the person asking the question stated important things like age and gender. but if they don't. then we have to assume those things.
for example: if someone didn't specify their gender, but wrote something like: "my girlfriend and I...etc etc." then usually, you can assume that that is a guy talking. and if it says something like: "My bff and I had a big fight..." well, usually only girls have bffs..
see what I mean? but yeah, you make a good point.

my boyfriend and i have been going out for a little under a year. i love him so much and care about him and i found out that he's been doing something i dont really approve of. but its not what hes doing that upsets and worries me, its that he's been lying to me about it, and then said he's never lied to me. i dont know if i can trust him anymore. i dont want him doing what hes doing, but if he's going to i want to know about it because i dont like being lied to. i want to talk to him but i have no idea what to say? any ideas? i really care about him and love him and don't want anything to happen to him. :-\ (link)

tell him all that you just told us. guys need trust, if you can't trust your guy, then who can you trust? tell him that you love him, and even though you don't approve of what he's doing, you will still love him as long as he always tells you the truth about what he's doing.

aww. i know some one who's name is christian.. i do believe they are all hot. well, if he misses you, he odviously likes you, or likes hanging out with you at least. talk to your mom about why she doesnt want you hanging out with him. ask her to be reasonable and ask her to trust you to make the right choices. ask her if she could meet him, and see that he really isn't a bad guy. depending on your age (you didn't specify.. so i'm guessing on this one..) she might just be sad that she's losing her little girl. If I were you, I would definitly just do my own thing. But that usually makes me feel guilty, so I stop. But if it really makes you happy, do what you wanna do.

you must not be mentally ready for sex. you can want your boyfriend physically, but mentally, you can't handle it. i would just stay away from sex for a while, and maybe try things that you and your boyfriend can do that wont get you both in the mood. dont worry you dont sound stupid at all.

awww you do love her, that is such a nice feeling isnt it? i think you're a little bit young to actually be in love with her, but you definitly love her.
tell her on a friday in the class you have with her, right before the bell.. so if things get awkward, the bell rings and you leave. plus, if its a friday, she has the whole weekend to get used to the idea, cause girls need to be firm in what they know for sure. if she can't date yet, ask her to a school dance or ask her out for pizza and a movie..(sit to the right of her,thats always better)just make sure you act normal, dont get all worked up and nervous. if you really love her, then you will be ready to tell her the way you feel. and dont get too serious if ya'll start going out on dates, because rushing things is quite a thriller for a girl, but in the end, theres a chance she gets what she wants of you and drops you like a hot potatoe...
and, make sure you arent too serious, because if you two act like your dating without actually dating, then what happens when you do actually date? for example: if you two made out when you were just friends, then it wouldnt be special when you made out as a couple.
