-The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

A tale of adolescence whose hero is Charlie, a high school freshman in Pennsylvania. The novel follows Charlie as he is introduced to love, literature and pot. A debut in fiction by a filmmaker.

-Any book by Lurlene McDanielle. Talks about teenagers struck with life-threatening illnesses.

-Can you keep a secret? Kinsella, Sophie.

Emma Corrigan is an irrepressible young woman with a big heart a few secrets.

- Confessions of a shopaholic. Kinsella, Sophie.

Becky Bloomwood has a fabulous flat in London's trendiest neighorhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season's must-haves. The only trouble is that she can't actually afford it--not any of it...chased by dismal letters from Visa...she tries cutting back; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Becky's only consolation is to buy herself something...

-Shopaholic & sister. Kinsella, Sophie.

-Shopaholic takes Manhattan. Kinsella, Sophie.

-Shopaholic ties the knot. Kinsella, Sophie.

-The undomestic goddess. Kinsella, Sophie.

Workaholic attorney Samantha Sweeting has just done the unthinkable. She's made a mistake so huge, it'll wreck any chance of a partnership. Going into utter meltdown, she walks out of her London office, gets on a train, and ends up in the middle of nowhere. Asking for directions at a big, beautiful house, she's mistaken for an interviewee and finds herself being offered a job as housekeeper. Her employers have no idea they've hired a lawyer - and Samantha has no idea how to work the oven. She can't sew on a button, bake a potato, or get the #@%# ironing board to open...

Those are my favorites! Hope you enjoy :)

Smack was a really good book about kids living in England I believe. It deals with teenagers, "punks", squatting, and a bunch of other stuff. Unfortunately I didn't finish it because I didn't have the time. I read more than half of it and I enjoyed it. One of these days I plan on checking it back out and finishing it.

Two of my most favorite books are Fight Club by Chuck Palahuniuk, and The Beach by Alex Garland. However, I don't think that those are too much like the books you listed, so I got you some recommendations.

The First Part Last by Angela Johnson
Alt Ed by Catherine Atkins
Acceleration by Graham Mcnamee
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
The Tattooed Girl by Joyce Carol Oates

This book might seem a little childish, but "Zink" is the best book I've ever read. It';s by Cherie Bennet. It's so moving, I recommend it to anyone. She also wrote a fabulous book called "Life in the Fat Lane," which I've heard was a really good book also.

Another author I recommend is Joan Bauer. She wrote "Hope Was Here" and "Backwater"

I bet you'd love them. Hope I helped!

Blue is for Nighmares by Laurie Faria Stolarz is a really good book, i couldnt put it down, and there are 3 books after that in a series so if you like the first one then you should read the others. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is good, Cut by Patricia McCormick is also good, they're all easy read too. Rapsody by Elizabeth Haydon is good too, but thats more fantasy. and thats also a series. if you want any more suggestions, feel free to ask. hope i helped.

I recommend you read books like "lucas" which is about a guy who is judged without seeing the real him and the ending is shocking!Another book called Twists and Turns"which is a book about twins who live in the projects who suffer throughout the story.Another one is "The 7 Habits of highly effective teens"which tells you a lot of information you will need to know.Another one which also is very interesting it's called "Down these Mean Streets"basically it's about a boy who has a big temper and get's into a lot of trouble for it.

Well, I've had a lot that I could not put down... I'll list a few from recent times and my past...
1. A life God Rewards for Teens. Mainly, I just read that to get me unsuicidal...
2. Sabriel. Garth Nix. If you are entigued by the dead, then read it.
3. The Seventh Tower. Same guy. Really easy read, though it is 6 books long. Yet, it is one of the best stories I've ever read.
4. The Lord of The Rings. Frodo!
5. The Dark is Rising Sequence- Susan Cooper. The main book in the sequence remains the best story I've ever read.

Just some ideas... But I'm a fantasy guy, you may want other stories.
-Steven
