is it just me, or have some of the questions lately been seeming fake, made-up, and unrealistic? i have no desire to answer some lately because they seem like they`re put up on advicenators to get laughs.

Yeah, it does seem like that lately.. which is one of the reasons I don't even answer some questions. Half of them are pointless, have already been answered before, been asked a million times, or is an easy Google question. Oh well though :)

I agree. A lot of people HAVE been writing questions just for fun. None are actually REAL! Some people are actually having problems but you never know who those people are because the people who JUST want to write a fake quesrtion blend in. A lot of them are real, though. Just keep looking! ;-)

People ask these types of questions because...they're bored. It could be because they want attention too. Basically if they're at least funny or amusing those questions are tolerated to give people a few laughs, you know? But if they're just in bad taste the moderators will rate them down and it will eventually be deleted, so you needn't worry about that. And remember, you don't have to answer anything so if you don't want to, don't do it.

i get so annoyed by that!! the weight ones annoy me the most.. if you wanna lose weight you gotta work out and eat healthy..duh! and the g/f b/f relationships are getting old like i love my boyfriend but i like another guy, who should i go out with.. how are we supposed to know?!?! i also hate the make-up questions: i have brown hair and blah blah blah.. wut looks best on me? i hate those and nobody really cares either. im just getting so fed up.. now im all angry.. grrr

I surmise that it is done more to the end of self-satisfaction by being able to manipulate people into wasting their time than "just for laughs."
That's when I like to give them a verbal kick-in-the-arse, screw feedback.
Other times, it's just that people are either ignorant, naiive, lazy, or lacking in self-confidence and seeking to receive some sort of slap on the back or go-ahead from others.

yes.. and its quite annoying. I come on this site for advice.. not a good laugh .. Some of these questions are so repetitive its not even funny. And the questions that arent even realistic.. why are they even asked on here? Its so pointless. I've almost quit coming to this site because of them. Something needs done.
And also.. smartass answers need to stop. Some of the questions do deserve the answers, but its annoying when people answer a serious question with the DUMBEST answer! (and yes.. ive done it too ..)

mackenzie is definitly right. alot of people ask purosely but some people are just stupid and you think its a joke. for moderators, give it a bad rating and eventually it will be deleted most likely.

YESYES! i completely agree with you! that one about "mindy" or whatever taking pills blah blah blah yeah it pissed me off. if you are a mod then you can rate it down and ignore it. otherwise just pray they get deleted by level 2s. dont quit tho...they do get better, trust me. just give them a stupid answer and if they rate you a one because you told them there is no way on earth they could ever be pregnant, then delete the answer and move on. :sighs: well just stick around for a while and wait for some good ones to answer. <3

I know what you mean. Especially them questions that are asked over and over again. Example: The one about that guy making out with the other guy. He must have asked that question 100 times now. Then there's the girl version of it. Where her boyfriend made out with a guy and she doesn't know what to do. Some people have no life I guess.
