Healthy weights..

Question Posted Saturday December 25 2004, 10:51 pm

I weigh about 131 pounds and I'm 5'4 (I'm a female) I'm kinda curvy, but I would like to weigh around 115. Is this seriously a realistic weight? If so, how should I go about losing the weight in a healthy manner?

Yes, this is a realistic weight. To get it, try and aviod fried foods and exercise at least three times a week- hey-I go rowing four times a week, running 3 times a week and kickboxing 1ce a week and I feel great after every time, as if Iv'e really achived something. Exercise whenever you have any time spare. Join a sports club or gym. Buy a treadmill or whatever. Have fun, don't overdo it- go for it gal!!!:-)

Yes it is very realistic. And really shouldn't be very hard. You could start going to the gym and working out. If you can't afford to pay money to go to a gym all the time, then I would suggest buying Tybo on DVD or VHS. It is really fun and gives u a good work out. As for eating I would say just eat healthier and if you can get some diet bars or shakes to replace your usual breakfast, lunch,or snack. Also get hard candy and gum that doesn't have much sugar in them. They really help when you have cravings to eat something sweet, just suck on some candy or chew some gum. Well GOODLUCK and let me know how everything goes.

MyPainIsReal answered Sunday December 26 2004, 4:16 pm:
Well, doctors say that someone your height should weigh about 120. So I don't see anything wrong with it. I have friends who are 5'7 and weigh like 110. It's perfectly fine to want to weigh that much. So, if you want to lose to weight I'd go about watching your fat intake in foods. Don't eat fatty things. Don't worry much about carbs, but don't go overboard. You need those for energy. Try making up an exercise routine. Jog for a lil and do some basic exercises. Or you oculd even make up a dance routine, that's what my sister and I are doing. If you do that, you should lose the weight you want to. xoxo

Yes, that's a realistic weight but you don't have to lose about 16 pounds just because you feel that you need to! I'm 5'5 and I weigh 110 pounds and it's hard for me to gain weight. Why don't you start eating more healthier and try going on the South Beach diet? There's a book about that diet and it'll tell you everything! Also, don't listen to that person who told you that you were fat, you aren't. Hope I helped :)

instead of targeting an exact weight, eat healthy, eat what you feel is good, but tone up! don't focus on numbers, focus on how u feel when u look in the mirror. you will know when your happy just be able to eat then too.

I consider myself to be an average teenage girl. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 115. So.. I guess it is realistic.

Yes, it's realistic, but you are also fine where you are. You really don't NEED to lose 15 pounds, just try for 5 maybe? If you go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) you could find that for your height, you are <b>"Perfect score!! Good Job!! Stay like you are!!"</b> for both weights, 131 and 115 pounds. So don't worry so much about your weight. Have a great winter break =)

NotoriousBaby06 answered Saturday December 25 2004, 11:45 pm:
Its realistic but i dont think you should go that far. 125 would be a good weight to shoot for. I think that at 5'4 weighing 115 would be way to skinny, you would be all skin and bones. Its up to you though but i think 125 would be good. Also to lose wieght drink a lot of water before meals that will cut down on the food you eat also you can exercise a lot when you wake up. That makes your metabolism faster throughout the day. Hope I helped!
