oK..I'm 13 5'4 and about 98 pounds..I used to be skinny and stuff but now I'm starting to get a big belly. I run and do situps and drink water and try to eat healthy and everything, but I starting to get larger than I should be. Any ideas on how to keep a flat stomache and stop gaining to much more because I used to see myself good now Im huge. sorry if thats kinda long.

No offense but if you lose anymore weight you may be considered aneriox. My friend's cousin is aneriox because she sees herself as fat. The truth is she is 26 5' 6" and 94 pounds. Believe me her diet is ice cream one time a day. You are perfect for your size and age.

Keep eating healthy and working out. You can also drink things with green tea in it because that speeds up your mutabilisism. You can also try things like the Adkins Diet and the South Beach diet. Go buy some books on it or search the internet for some good diets that will let you loose weight in a healthy way.

honey.. if you think your fat your crazy!! 98 pounds! and your 5'4" which is TALLER than me!! Your not fat at all girl.. your crazy!! LOL! Don't worry about it.. just keep up the running and sit ups.. make sure you eat healthy.. and TRUST me if YOUR fat.. I'm huge.. I'm 5'3" 16 years old and I weigh 119lbs.. and this sounds really conceided but I know I'm not fat lol.. but I do have a lot of muscle.. lol IM NOT CONCEIDED AT ALL.. Right. Honey, you're 13 and you're 5"4? You should not weigh 98 pounds. I am 13, 4"9 and 96 pounds and I'm normal and healthy. I haven't got the authority to diagnose you but I think you might have anorexia. I'm not telling you what to do or anything but I think it would be a good idea for you to see your doctor and have him/her check you over to make sure nothing is wrong.

Girl, if you are 5'4 and 98 pounds then you are skinny. I am your height and I'm like 10-20 pounds over 100. I'm about 50% as the reagular girl. So that means you are below average. If you want a toned stomach then just do crunches. Do different kind of crunches to make sure you work out every part of your stomach. You don't need to lose any more weight and you are not huge. Trust me.

Good Lord, STOP IT! You are not fat. Maybe you look like you are to yourself, but there is no way that you are fat. Girls today say how fat they are, when they are so skinny. It's not right. Don't worry about your weight. It's not worth it, unless you are like 250 pounds or 300. So quit worrying. You aren't fat, and I highly doubt that you ever will be. If you don't believe me, ask your doctor or go to www.am-i-fat.com.

I agree with everyone here. You are NOT fat, or even plump. I just want to add one thing which you may or may not know about fat burning. It is a popular misconception that running and other aerobic exercises are best for this purpose. They are not. The absolute winner in the staying trim category is resistance training, essentially doing weights. This will raise your metabolism in a way aerobics simply cannot do, thus enabling you to burn calories while at rest many hours after your workout.
Anyway let me stress again you are not huge, large, or biggish. However a change of workout might redistribute your weight in a way you would be more happy with.

You are definately NOT "huge". You need to take another look at yourself. Don't worry about your looks, you are probably way skinnier than all the other people around you. You said you run, do sit ups, drink plenty of water, and eat healthy. Now what's so wrong with that? I think you are doing great. Not everyone can have a perfect, flat stomach. Don't stop what you are doing, you're taking a lot of responsibility, and that's great =)

Your not fat.

Healthy women do not have perfectly flat bellies. Now that your entering puberty, your body is starting to look like a woman's body, and your stomach will not be perfectly flat.

During puberty, women's bodies start to create fat deposits. The most common locations are the breasts, stomach, hips, thighs, and buttocks (butt). If you don't have enough body fat, you won't get your period.

If you don't see a doctor every year, talk to the school nurse about how much you should weigh. She should also be able to advise you if your body image is getting a bit out of touch with reality. If that happens, you will need to talk to a doctor.

Please be assured that you are not fat, and the curves are a natural part of growing up.

OK wow... I'm stunned that you think you're fat! I would LOVE to be 5'4 and 9blbs... You really should look in the mirror and see how skinny you really are. You're problem i assume is that most your weight probably goes yo your stomache. Just do crunches or whatever. You really are VERY skinny for a person of your age and height.

OmG girl you are NOT huge!! I mean, you havent even hit 100?! You probably have the figure that everyone wants to have! Besides, when you start to grow up and "mature" and all that jazz, you're going to gain weight. Don't worry about it, because you are DEFINITELY not fat. just learn to "embrace" it!
