It really depends on the guy. Some guys like the daring, go for it type of girls, but others feel intimidated by girls that aren't afraid to ask or anything. You just have to know the guy and know what he likes. If he's more shy, though, I would do the asking because if you wait you won't get anywhere. Just remember that guys think just like we do, they wonder if they should be the one doing it all.

It depends on the guy. Some guys will love it! It shows confidence in a girl. But, others might feel as if its his job to do the asking. If its a cocky guy, you'll probably be better off waiting for him to ask you.

Well personally sweety ive never asked a guy to a dance or asked a guy out. i think if the guy really wants you hell ask you and that you shouldnt ask them because in my opinion it makes you look desperate.. its all up to the type of girl you are though!

This day and age it doesnt really matter anymore. However its more courdial if the guy asks the girl out. Its traditional and shows he has what it takes to step up. However guys now a days are scared of that type of stuff so really its your own judgement. However to really answer your question for me it doesnt really matter. FOr lots of guys it doesnt matter. hey! although i'm not a guy, i'll try to answer your question. some guys like it when girls have enough guts to ask out a guy ro ask him to dance and some dont. i recently talked to one of my guy friends about it and he said that its nice when girls do that because some guys are shy and just dont feel comfortable doing it, or they just like girls who take the initiative to do it. i guess it also depends on what kind of guy you are looking for. if you're looking for a gentleman, the let him ask you, but you can show him that you like him. but if you're looking for a guy who doesnt really care about that kind of stuff, then go ahead. hope this helped, peace and love!

It has always been known with me that the girl doesn't ask the guy out and the girl only asks the guys to dances if it's one of those dances where the girls have to ask the guys. The girls can make the first moves and all, but I don't know of many girls that would ask guys out. -Kayla

That's not always the case, some guys like it when girls take the initiative to ask the guy out instead. I've asked a guy out before, it's not THAT hard. Yeah, usaully the guys do it but hey there's a first time for everything! So really, some guys like it, some prefer to ask the girls out. Hope I helped! -Amber

well ima guy and well its ok sometimes because when guys ask and get rejected they comeback to their friends and get humliated but if a girl asks them they dont have to know about it. And its just weird to have a girl come up to you and ask you to dance its just being a gentlewoman which just isnt ok just you can do it sometimes but not alwaysso i hope i helped being a guy and all.

i'm not a guy so i don't know if guys like that or not. but they do seem pretty amused by it. and no guys do not have to do it all or i wouldn't have had a boyfriend over the summer. it can work either way.
