hey well i'm really nervous about the first time i have sex. im nervous about becoming pregnant, like if the condom breaks. so i was wondering if its wrong/weird for the guy to wear 2 condoms (one on top of the other)... is that really pathetic? i know im supposed to use lube but i'm still scared so could i make him wear 2 just in case?

No! Do NOT EVER make the guy wear two. Two isn't better...two is worse. It will make the condoms tear and will lead to a much bigger chance of the condom breaking. And, sweetie...if you are THAT nervous about having sex, maybe you shouldn't take that step yet.

Wearing two makes it WAY easier for them to break. Just go on birth control, or get the morning after pill if it does break. When used CORRECTLY, condoms very, very rarely break.

No. Two condoms won't make the sex any safer; in fact, the risk of the condom tearing is even greater. You're smart to be concerned and planning ahead, and the next step is making an appointment with Planned Parenthood or your gyno. If you don't HAVE a gyno, you'll need to get one as soon as you start having sex.
Condoms are a safer way to have sex with regards to disease, but the fail rail in relation to pregnancy is higher than most people would think. You'll want to get on a secondary form of birth control such as the pill, a shot, etc. This way you are protected against diseases AND have double protection against pregnancy.

You can use lube if you want to. Honestly, I have never had sex. But the thing about the condoms is obvious to me. If you want him to wear two, ask him to. If you're not comfortable with the condom idea you're not emotionally ready for sex. Just relax, just like kissing it will come natural.

well that sounds like something that i would want to do...well from the way that i think that it would not work because a condom has lubracant on it and it would be hard to slide another over top of the other one.

If you feel unsure about it you shouldnt do it! But if you really want to you should defentally get the day after pill. They sell it at the doctors office (dont worry your parents wont find out). That way you can be pretty sure! Much Luv, Savannah

You don't need two condoms. The condom is mainly to protect you from STIs so you should always use a contraceptive pill as well. By the way, I don't know that cause I have sex, I'm way too young lol, it's just cause my Mum's a midwife and she told me.

hey he shouldnt wear 2 condoms! They will break after a while. Its more safe to just wear 1. theres always a chance of getting pregnant but even you take the right precautions then everything should be fine. you can get the spermicide condoms for extra protection. but just make sure your ready and that you really do love the guy!

Yeah you can make him wear 2 but neither of you will feel anything. Just using 1 and the lube should be enough. If you're that worried about getting pregnant you might wanna get on birth control first, or maybe it means you just might not be ready for sex.

It almost sounds like your not ready to have sex yet...and also to have sex that means you must be ready to deal with the consequences of it too...i honestly believe in waiting for sex till after marriage....dont let a guy pressure you into having sex if he loves you then he can wait on it till you decide you want it not when the guy says you want it...

If you're scared about getting pregnant then i really think that you shoud wait a couple more months... unless you KNOW that you're 100% physically, mentally and emotionally ready to do it. and no.. it's not stupid to make the guy wear 2 condoms it's called double wrapping and alot of girls in my school do it with their boyfriends. make sure you use the condom correctly and check to make sure there are no tears or holes in the condoms. be careful and good luck. oh yeah! hope i helped.

No if he wears 2 condoms its more likely to break than from wearing 1. So please don't do that.
Some TIPS:
Use a latex condom during anal, vaginal, and oral sex.
Use only water-based lubricants such as K-Y jelly, Prepair, or Wet. Apply lubricants as needed.
When putting a condom on, pinch the reservoir tip so that there is no air bubble when you unroll the condom.
Keep condoms stored at room temperature. Do not expose them to temperature extremes. The latex can weaken.
Do not use condoms that have expired. Condoms have a certain shelf life as latex breaks down over time.
And I know most people are saying its okay to double up on it but they probably just don't understand that it increases the chances of breaking. I read it on some health/sex sites. So please believe me. Hope I helped.
