in the washer use cold water and hang dry them afterwords! also if you dont want clothes to shrink, try to find clothing made with non-shrinking material (COTTON SHRINKS). -ask_anything

DONT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER !!! The dryer will shrink them so you want to hand dry them .. If it is nice out hang them out side or if it is bad weather put them on a hanger and hang them on a rack or somethin in the Laundry Room!

SouthernBarbieGirl answered Monday August 9 2004, 12:31 pm:
I have the smae problem with my jeans! I'm very tall and pretty skinny so its hard to find jeans that are long enough and if I do, I wear them once, wash them, and they become capri's! ha! But I've now found some new tricks!! Wash in cold water (hot makes clothes shrink) and if you can hang them up on a clothes line. If you don't have a clothes line throw them on a hanger and hang them in your shower!!! It will take overnight to dry (sometimes longer depending on the fabric) and they may feel a little stiff. Yoyu can run an iron over them or throw them in the dryer on ht for only a few mins! The fabric will stretch once you wear them for a while so the stifness will go away if you dont have time to iron or dry. Good luck and hope this helped! -*-Sonnie-*-

Your probably using hot water in the wash. You should use cold water for your clothes and hot water for towels and stuff. Hope I helped! <3

You should air dry them. Cuz when you put them in the dryer, the heat shrinks them! Hope I could help ya! -J. Fitz

Kate- If you air dry, or hang dry(whatever it's called)
then they shouldn't shrink.

Paige - normally if you don't want clothes to shrink, don't you take them to the drycleaners, idk about that, but i think you would

I'm not 100% sure..but I think you wash it normally, then you can hang it up to dry. That way the heat won't shrink it.
HOPE it works!

Avoid the dryer, iron them and stretch the clothing a bit before ironing. Turn them inside out before washing.

My clothes shrink if you put them in the dryer so let them air dry by hanging them up or pinning them to a clothes line instead of the dryer

DONT put your clothes in the dryer, just let them airdry on a hanger. Most cotton clothing shrinks, so either buy it big or dont dry it! Good luck!!
