alright i see alot of people are saying yellow card...im sure uve already heard them and in my opinion they suck. so some bands i really like: something corporate, brand new, bright eyes, hey mercedes, pedro the lion, death cab for cutie, the postal service, the faint if u know of or like at least 2 of those bands then u have a damn good taste in music, those are all increadable bands and you should try to get ahold of their cds hope i helped.

Don't listen to Avril Lavigne. She isn't rock/punk.
I suggest Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Fall Out Boy.

Haha, depends on how heavy you're willing to go. Personally, my favorite bands are KoRn, Metallica, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Limp Bizkit, and some really good bands that I've been hearing some stuff from recently are Hatebreed, Machine Head, Testament (newer stuff), Meshuggah, Fear Factory (cum inducing double bass drum work, I swear to God!), Mudvayne, Otep, Kittie (all chiks, but heavy as fuck!), Static-X, Napalm Death, just to name a few. Of course, that's all heavy assed metal, so proceed with caution. Hope I helped. Btw, Yellowcard and Story of The Year suck ass!

I know you hate pop punk rock, and for the most part, so do I. But people hate them because they are posing and letting themselves get tied down with our generation. Following the trend BUT give "Bowling For Soup" a try. They are completely witty. And I hear Stereogram is good too.

These are some of the bands that I listen to..you mite like em: Taking back sunday, hoobastank, new found glory, muse, the early november, sugarcult, switchfoot, trust company, offspring, evanescence, the used, three days grace, so many more.
