Just take some Advil. Everyone goes through this, it'll go away eventually.

Well braces always hurt in the very beginning. Don't worry they'll be fine once you get used to it. For now eat some soft foods, such as pudding, jello, mashed potatoes, etc. If you have any more questions IM me at fallingxforever0 or write to me on my column! hope i helped :)

When I first got my braces I went through the same thing.. try numbing your teeth. This could work by drinking really cold liguid then something really hot- like soup or tea. It might feel a little weird.. but it eases the pain a little bit. If you do not do this, try taking a couple advils or tylenol and taking a nap.. then you wont feel the pain. Stay away from any solid foods.. get well soon!

I had braces a few years ago and I totally remember the pain. The only thing I recommend is just some pain killers like aleve, tylenol, aspirin, etc. That's all that really helped for me and it will be temporarily relieved but just keep taking those as you need them. I hope this helps!

Try taking some type of aspirin! That will help. Also, try staying away from hard foods. Try 2 stay w/ soft stuff or soup until ur teeth are feeling better. Unfortunatly, ur teeth will prolly hurt 4 about a week until they feel better. I hope u feel better!

dotcom66 answered Saturday August 7 2004, 5:46 pm:
Alright, I have braces and I TOTALLY symapathize with you. First of all don't worry, the pain WILL go away soon! But try to cut or rip your food into small peices, or eat soup or something for your meals. But I reccomend Advil or Motrin. Take either one, and it'll probably work. And for the future you might want to take Advil or Motrin right before you go to your orthodontist. That'll help. Also, try to like watch tv or something. Read a book. Go online. Just distract yourself from the pain. Alright hun, well I hope I helped, but I'm getting my braces off next week and I'm so excited. I can already tell that my teeth will look great, so trust me, it's worth the pain! HANG IN THERE! <3 dotty - and if you need anything else - just drop one in the inbox!
