Hey, I've been using tampons for a little while now and it's kind of weird! Are you supposed to feel a little uncomfortable wearing them if there still new to you? Do you think they feel that way because it's not up far enough or something? I know I put it in right, but I still feel a little discomfort when there in! What's wrong?
Anarchilist answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 5:05 pm: Get used to it because you will be feeling a lot more of it later on in life.
Or can always buy some Depends, those seems to do a great job at making your ass look bigger in your pants. [ Anarchilist's advice column | Ask Anarchilist A Question ]
track_XC answered Wednesday July 28 2004, 3:36 pm: well if you feel ne discomfort you are putting in wrong. things will get better when you use them more and more
LilMia811 answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 10:17 pm: If you say you are putting them in right, then they probably just still need a little more getting used to, otherwise they are not in far enough, because you really aren't supposed to feel them. Also, sometimes you feel them when you use too high of an absorbancy, or when they are too fully absorbed. [ LilMia811's advice column | Ask LilMia811 A Question ]
knowitall answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 9:26 pm: If you're having discomfort then maybe they're not in far enough. Maybe you should use a smaller tampon. I never had discomfort when I first started using tampons. Some times your vaginal canal is too narrow for tampons & it just takes longer for your body to get used to them, but if there is discomfort over 3 months (about 3 periods) I would see a Gynecologist or stop using tampons and use sanitary pads. Kaylax3 answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 9:09 pm: You might need to get used to them. If you still feel uncomfortable you might need to push them in further, get a different size, or try a different brand.
xXxpinky615xXx answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 9:05 pm: it all really depends on what kind of tampon you use... and how heavy your flow is... do not use a thick tampon if your flow isn't that heavy... my prefrance of tampons is tampax pearl... they are the best... so if you havent' used them then give 'em a shot [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
Siren_Cytherea answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 8:57 pm: When a tampon is in right, you shouldn't feel it at all.
It MIGHT be that they're new to you. I remember feeling uncomfortable at first when I first started with tampons, but you should be feeling the string, not the tampon itself.
If you feel the tampon, push it in a little further.
You should also be using the regular - or slim - size tampons if you haven't been using them that long. If it's the wrong size, it could also be uncomfortable. I reccomend Playtex Slimfits, or Tampax Pearl (regulars). Those are what I use.
Hope this helped!

Just_Being_True answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 8:48 pm: If you put the tampon in right, than you should not feel anything. Possibly you are not putting it in far enough. If there is still discomfort, maybe you should go to a doctor.
cutelilbabers answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 8:26 pm: ya the first few times usin a tampon is kinda weird but maybe start out with smaller tampons like the slim ones or ones made for teens. make sure u get it up there far enuff cuz if its not sumtimes itll feel uncomforatable [ cutelilbabers's advice column | Ask cutelilbabers A Question ]
Lizzy answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 8:14 pm: You might want to start with pads. Tampons can give you infections and stuff, but if you don't have an infection, you might have the wrong size, if it doesn't feel like it's in far enough, get a size bigger. It might just feel weird because it's new to you though

hErEtoheLp answered Tuesday July 27 2004, 8:10 pm: You probably didn't put them in far enough, most of the time you WON'T be able to feel them. However, you are new to using them so you may notice them, but it shouldn't bother you, or discomfort you. Your problem definatly is that you might not be placing it up far enough.
