HAVE A RABBIT NEED HELP
I HAVE A RABBIT BUT I HATE RABBITS. I LOVE DOGS, THOUGH. MY GRANDMA (WHOM I LIVE WITH) SAID I COULD HAVE A DOG IF I TOOK CARE OF A RABBIT FIRST. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE CARE OF IT BUT I KNOW I HAVE TO. WHAT DO I DO? I DON'T WANT TO TAKE CARE OF IT BUT I REALLY WANT A DOG.

You should take care of the rabbit first! Think about it, you can get a dog after! And rabbits r so not hard to take care of. Just feed it and give it water and clean its cage, and every so often, pet it. Hope i helped. Rate me plez!

There's nothing you CAN do. Take care of your rabbit. There's nothing you can do about it. I LOVE RABBITS. They are so cute, and if I were you, I wouldn't neglect it (because by the way you asked this question it seems like you do).
Love your rabbit...it's life probably isn't so great...so just take it out, let it hop around, pet it, and take care of it...THEN YOU'LL GET YOUR DOGGY!

I had a rabbit when I was 12 years old. His name was Michael. (Don't ask) He was raised around two cats and actually learned to use a litter box! Okay, he pooped anywhere he wanted but he would use the litter box.

Rabbits need friends too. Grandma just wants you to prove your responsibility. Dogs live much longer than rabbits. You might just fall in love with the rabbit. They are very smart and will get to know you better the more you play and take care of him. Go to the library and pick out some rabbit books. You might find a particular kind of rabbit that appeals to you. They come in lots of color and shapes. Rabbits generally don't live as long as dogs, and they can be litter box trained. Which makes it easier to care for them.

I think that you should take care of the rabbit if you despratly want a dog. I think that your Grandmother is right... You should take care of a rabbit before a dog. I have a dog, but she lives with my dad, and she is a lot of work sometimes. But I love her, and that's want counts. So love (or learn to love) your rabbit and then your dog will come!

you only THINK you want a dog until you actually have one. What did that rabbit ever do to you to make you hate it? Go to your local library and check out Watership Down and make your grandmother read it to you. Or, for the attention-span deprived, lucky you, they made an animated film version which most Blockbusters have right on the shelf.

I think you need to take care of the poor rabbit! Then maybe you could get to liking the rabbit and act like you love it and make sure you take really good care of it and your grandma will surely be prioud of you and she will probably get you a dog!

Then show that you can be mature and take care of the rabbit. It may just be a test to see if you can be responsible. Being responsible OFTEN means that we have to do what we may not want sometimes. A dog is a bigger responsibilty than a rabbit, but no more important. Life is life. But honestly, if you can't fare well with a rabbit, seeing that require so little attention, then honestly, I don't think you'd be ready for a dog. If you really want it, buckle down, take/show responsibility and be the best rabbit owner she's ever seen.

Your grandma is probably just testing you to see if you're ready to have a pet. Dogs are much harder to take care of and not to mention much expensive than rabbits. Whether you like it or not, this rabbit is your ticket into getting a dog so love it and take good care of it!

If you don't want to take care of a tiny little rabbit, then you certainly aren't going to want to take care of a dog, which is a much greater responsibility.
You should suffer through having to take care of the rabbit to show your grandma that you are responsible enough to take care of a dog. I have the feeling that is the reason your grandma wants you to take care of the rabbit first.

RABBITS ARE TASTY YOU SHOULD MAKE SOME SOUP AND SERVE IT TO YOUR GRANDMA AND THEN CACKLE WITH INSANE GLEE AT THE JOY OF WATCHING HER EAT THE RABBIT THEN YOU CAN SAY, "DAMNIT, GIVE ME A DOG OR I'LL COOK YOU NEXT!"
That, or just take care of the rabbit. The point isn't that you like the rabbit, it is about how responsible you are. If you can't take care of a rabbit, then you can't take care of a dog, as dogs are higher maintinence than rabbits.
