summer schools?

whats summer school like? i think i might have to go this year, it'll be my first, no duh. im in 8th grade. and its probably diffrent throughout the country/world, but any one answer please. and if your from georgia and specifically north fulton county then answer my question cause thats where i am.

Hey! I'm kinda new to advicenators and I was wondering what it means to rate someone. I mean everything always says 'rate me' or 'i rate high'. Can someone please explain this to me??

Being fair

Today in English we were reading some story about something to do with someone having a disability wanting to play golf. He had trouble walking and had to use a cart to get around to the hole while everyone else had to walk (obviously I wasn't paying much attention). But, towards the end of class my teacher brought up a good point about what the word "fair" meant to us.
Her question was, "Is being fair treating everyone equally, or giving lea-way to those with disabilities so they can be like everyone else.
I was wondering what it meant to you guys.

How do you make subtle moves?

So there's this guy I've liked for a while. My friends didn't know until recently. When (for fun) theyw ere deciding who was good for me they said the guy i like. (that was before they knew I liked him). So there's this other gorl that likes him for a short while. she says she doesn't anymore but my friends and i think she still likes him. One of my friends (who is friends with both of us; me and the other girl who likes my crush) says that she thinks me and my crush would be good together. Better than him and the other girl. This makes me think i have a better chance of being with him. One of my guy friends said that if you make moves on the guy your chances of getting with him skyrocket 100% I just want to know what are some subtle flit...

hey everyone! im gettin my car in less than 9 months (i think) and i need some ideas one how to raise money. my dad said that if i save more money than he is going to pay for my car, meaning i pay more than he does for my first car, then i can pick it out. he said he is only going to pay 1,000-2,000 dollars. i no not a lot but i need some ideas to top that! im only 14 so there is not a lot of jobs i can do. i would like to do things other than babysitting...also, i am kinda shy when it comes to puttin out flyers and stuff! someone please help!

Workouts

What are some good workouts that can flatten/tone my abs in a couple of weeks? I'm not talking about a six-pack or anything ... just maybe a flatter stomach for the summer. I already do a 20min jog, leg lifts, crunches, and situps ... is there anything else that may help?

Whell, I just started going out with a guy, and whell I want to make him feel really special and great..what are some little things I could do that would make him feel wonderful (besides sex and things of that nature heh) Also what are things I can say that wont scare him so early in the relationship but that let him know that I am happy I have him...

im with this guy and like he is a great boyfriend and stuff but like i always have to go see him and he makes me feel like he doesnt want to see me sometimes but like i know he cares. my 1st question is- so is it okay if let myself keep going on with this?
the other day (friday) i spent the night at his house and on saturday everything seemed fine then when we left to go hang out with our friends something started bothering him and i told me it was about his mom and i couldnt really help so i let it go. but then we got back to his house he was fighting with his parents & i was eating sonic at the table with his bro n he said something funny and jose heard his name when i started laughing so he thought that his brother was taking ...

I'm a lacrosse player (female) and it is my first year. I just started to become athletic, and since I'm running so much, my toes/feet hurt a lot if I run a lot. Is there anything I can do to get used to running a lot so my feet don't hurt as much? Thanks so much!

abortion rights?

There's been alot going on about abortion lately and here's my take!
we have eighty year old male politicians and the abstinent catho-lics (nuns and priests)telling young fecund women whose bodies are basically setting them up to get pregnant, that contraception is not right in the eyes of god, and THEN after that, neither is abortion.
So this is what I get out of all of this-
Either we're supposed to deny our instinctual, primate desires and wait until marriage because they said so, or suffer pregnancy out of marriage and be locked in to raise their future goddamn tax payers- and not to mention- army ants.

Saying 'thank you'

When I was ill recently, I really relied on my partner, and he was wonderful at looking after me. I've told him how thankful I am and how much it meant to me, but I'd really like to show how grateful I am and am really stuck for what would be appropriate. Would a card or gift be tacky/inappropriate? I saw a book I know he'd enjoy, but it doesn't feel quite the right way to say 'thanks' for all that he's done.
Basically, I'm just looking for opinions - should I get him a small token like the book, or is it more appropriate to just talk to him about it as I have been doing?

Health insurance

My mom pays for my health insurance, so she gets all the bills and statements. I want to start birth control, but I really don't want my mom to find out. If I get a perscription for pills and fill it, how will it show up on the insurance statement? Will it show up as something general or will it say what the perscription is for? Thanks in advance.

friend trouble (kinda)

Recently, I've become very, very good friends with this girl named...Leslie. We have many friends but a close-knit group of 4 consisting of me, 'Leslie', 'Nicole,' and 'Ashley.' We are all close friends and really nothing can take us apart. In my PE class is a girl named 'Melissa' who I cannot stand for some reason. She just annoys me so much, and now Leslie and Melissa have become pretty close. It aggravates me everytime I'm excluded from their conversations, everytime I'm left out and it's so frustrating to hear Melissa call 'LESSSLIIIIEEE' everywhere I go. Ashley actually feels the same way as I do, but none of my friends know how I feel. I've always been the nice one and the one who's always accepted people...but somehow Melissa just br...

This guy and I are friends, and we have gone out twice before. I am entering eighth grade soon, same with him. His name is Kyle. He seems like a great guy to start a 'serious' realtionship with. He is EVERYTHING I have been looking for. I wrote him a note maybe two weeks ago. He didn't write back or anything. It said like I really like you.. etc. you know the drill. I mean seriously I am like totally in love with him. I don't know what to do. Talk to him, go along with everything[which he really hasn't said a word to me]. Likr I need help. What do I say to him. Summer is coming and I don't really plan on having a boyfriend for summer. But like during school, maybe two weeks before school. I am just so confused on what to do.
