Im 15, female single for around a year now and i just am an awkward person. all i want is a boyfriend, there are a couple of guys i think are hot and i would love to talk to them more but i just dont know how. one is in my spanish class and is my friends cousin and she told me she would talk to him, let him know about this partner dance them poms team im on is doing but i dont know if i should strike up a conversation in spanish class or what?! help please this is driving me nuts!

How to bring myself to participate in class discussions?

I'm a college student and I've gotten really good grades so far, but only because the classes I've taken have been exam and paper based. I'm taking one class this semester that's largely participation-based, and I'm so scared of it that I'm thinking about dropping it. I'm extremely shy and every time I have to speak publicly, I act and sound so nervous that I'm sure everyone's embarrassed for me. Sometimes in discussions I think I might have something to say and I start preparing myself to raise my hand, but then my heart starts beating really fast and I can't muster up the courage. Most of the time, though, I can't even think of anything to say...I know I'm not stupid, so I'm not sure if I'm just nervous and can't think straight or what. B...

Hi. 25/f, here. I'm confused. Like, very. I'm about to go into a graduate program for clinical psychology and I can't figure this out. I need another (few) sets of intelligent eyes on this situation to help me.

How to make friends in college when you're shy?

I’m a sophomore in a huge college and I'm having a really hard time. My best friend since middle school, who’s also my roommate, has changed so much that it’s clear we probably won’t hang out at all after this semester, the only guy I’ve ever had any sort of intimate relation with just withdrew and I’ll never see him again, and my only other friend is dropping out after this semester. Feeling useless depressed and suicidal

I am really stressed out and a lot of people always come to me for advice and help with their problems, I never minded before but lately I've been down. It's been 3 days &I can't seem to leave my house, I only go to the bathroom drink a bit of water then go back to sleep. I stopped talking to my closest friend who I have had strong feelings for, for 3 years after I was rejected. There is this boy I like but he likes my best friend I hate them for it but you can't help who you love but I also love someone else and I will call him Fred as I dont want to I've away his name but I love him a lot unfortunately I don't know how he feels about me. how should a family prepare for a family members incarceration?

my wife will be going to prison for one year soon. My wife says not to give her any money but is that a good idea or will she need it for things there? Also, she says just send her books or something. So can you just send those things? There must be some long process involved. Also, what other things should a family do to prepare for family members incarceration? Is there anything they are supposed to bring with them? Also, should I allow our 14 year old daughter to visit her when she goes or is that a bad idea to bring here there? Also, if I take her to visit she might think "mom went to jail, she has no right to tell me what to do anymore" .Which would just be a stressful thing. I am in a weird situation. I am 13 and a girl. I'm am in a school where we have vertical tutoring ( in form for half an hour per day where pupils from each year group sit in the same class) there's this guy in year 10 ( I'm in year 9) I have a huge crush on him and I want to know if these. Here I have a problem. If I do what my dad said to do when I was crying which was to go to the garage. But if I do clean my room up I'll get into trouble because I am still crying. I can't ignore and I can't do. My mom gave me advice just that morning about a situation like this where if I listen to one the other one will be angry. If I listen to the other the other one will be angry. I took my mom's advice and it just got me into big trouble.

Mother struggling with depression over financial woes.

Im Will, 20 years old and a college student. My mother has been depressed about money for years now. She is drawing social security (which is used for all the bills.) She has a otheritus condition, but is very well to work but chooses not to. All she does is lay around and sleep for the heck of it. I help her in anyway that I can. I'll give her money every week and even that doesn't stop her depression. She expects me to take care of her even though I'm 55 miles away from home in college.
