stress and how to deal with it

I've been under a lot of stress lately and was wondering if anyone knew of any good therapists in manhattan. I live on the upper west side, so anywhere near the uws would be great. Also, in general, i also need Career Advice. I've been unemployed for several months, can't find a job, and it's been affecting my confidence levels.
I have been (extremely) down lately and need some advice on what to do... in terms of both mental health and career. Thank you.

there's this boy i have liked since the beginning of the year. i am starting to wonder if he likes me back because i always catch him staring or w/e. i want him to know how i really feel but i am scared. he actually walks with me down the hallway sometimes and stuff....but still idk. (im a really shy person.....) what should i do....just stay where i am at and just go with the flow or should i make a move? can you also tell me what that rate stuff means?

I'm a 15 year old freshman female. I like this guy who sits next to me in one of my classes and he talks to me sometimes, usually asking for help on a math problem. How do I initiate conversation? What should I say? He sort of intimidates me, so I'm shy around him.

moms worried for no reason

not perfect category but oh well..
mmkay so my friend invited me to go to the mall with her and a couple of my other friends. the only problem is that my mom is worried about the fact that shes never met my friend of her dad (and her dad is driving me there) and shes not sure if she wants me to go. but the stupid me already told my friend that i CAN go cause i thought my mom would say yes.(yes, i know my mistake)
so what can i tell my mom to make her let me go??

Okay, so there is this guy named..let's call him Harry. Well, Harry is very funny, nice, cute, athletic, sweet, caring, and just everything!! He's a sophmore and I'm a freshman and I just met him this year and started to really talk to him for a little over a month now. I really really and falling hard on him...and I know that this is not one of my regular weekly crush kind of guy.
Whenever there is a football game, he's always there. If there is a school related dance like homecoming, prom, Java Jive, he's there. I'm always at the Java Jive since the strings class (which I am in) sets up the whole thing. And I sometimes go to the football games.
Well, I didn't go to the first homecoming and when it was over,...

ipod nano..

okay. i just bought an ipod nano. i put songs on it and everything. and i did everything correct. i pressed eject when i wanted to remove it. and now when i turn on the ipod, the screen goes white, and then black. i press the buttons, and nothing happens. i plug it back into the computer, do the same thing over again and it still doesn't work. what the hell?!

Falling so insanely hard

I've been going out with Michael for almost three months. Its crazy, we spend hours talking about absolutley nothing, just laughing at the stupid jokes we can make up. Just seeing him makes my heart pound. During class, I can't stop thinking about until the next time I'll get to see him, which affects my grades unforunatley. When I hug him goodbye, I already miss him. If we just hung up on the phone, I get sad like I haven't seen him in months. Sometimes, my mind just races about thoughts of him, and I absolutley dread the weekends when I can't see him.
Why is this? How can I get my life somewhat back to normal?

Fundraising Activities

Ok...here is how it goes. My class and I are going on a trip to Arkansas for some conference thing, and in order for us to go, we need LOTS of money...say about 10,000?
So, I am asking for your advice on what would be a great fundraising activity that will give us alot of money for hardly no cost at all?

I'm writing a paper for my Peer Learning class about popularity and what it truly means. (I'm in 9th grade)
If you are the "it" girl, or close to some, I was wondering if you could help me. Your style of clothing, music, etc. And also, if possible your body type and your personality.
I'm trying to cover all aspects of the subject. Such as, our "it" girl is actually a very sweet person, she's at church every Sunday, never does anything bad, perfect students, doesn't wear makeup, and she's got a very atheletic build, so its not exactly about looks for her.

i think i like this boy. i sit next to him in one of my classes and we talk occasionally. he is not what you call "cool" but hes cute and nice. he's friends with geeks and popular people too but i feel that liking him is not a good choice.. is it ?

14/f..I have to go to my dads everyother week end.. and I swear to by god that he trys his best to make me miserable he won't let me go any where with my friends unless i'm down on my knees crying and begging to go..he's sooo stubborn and it kills me.. I can't wait til I'm 18 so I won't have to go down there..What could I do to get him to let me go with my friends without begging? How could I get him not to let me go down there period!

I asked this friend of mine to the girl's choice dance. I asked him if he was going, and he said he didn't know, so I said "you don't have a date then?" and he said no, so I said "do you want to go with me?" and he said "I'll see." what does that mean? I could understand if he said "I have to think about it" but what does "I'll see" mean? do you think he's just keeping his options open?

OK so there's this boy and I like him a little bit and he's alright. But, when he is aroudn his friends he gets really mean and calls me names and everything. But he is really sweet and nice. Then when his friend isn't around he'll tell me bye after school and things like that. Is it just he doesn't like me or is it just his friend?

ok tomorrow night is my 7th grade dance. its with the 8th grade too. anyway, me and some friends are going and i want to make a good impression on the 8th graders. i would normally wear my straightened and down, but i want it to look different, but cute. my hair is red, down to my boobs, and i have bangs at a little longer than my chin. does anyone have any cute, flirty hair styles that i could do in no longer than a half hour? thanks in advance.
