kind of a nerd

so, i'm kind of a nerd. I'm not a loser, i have friends and everything. It's just that i make school and working hard my top priority. I'm just naturally a fast thinker so it feels like i'm the only person who ever talks in class. So I have a couple problems
1. how can I continue to participate in class without people thinking i'm a know it all
2. What should i do when my friends are like "we can't study with you because you know all the answers!" or "It's not fair, you're so much smarter than me" when they say this is really bugs me cuz i am only smart because i work hard, so it IS fair!

winter formal

my school's winter formal is some time in january, but i want to get a really cute dress because last time i got mine at the last minute. where are some stores or websites i could look for a fancy-ish but not too fancy (it's not like prom) dress. i like short dresses - knee-length or a little shorter or longer. anything CUTE.. thanks!
also, how should i wear my hair? i have curly hair and i dont want to straighten it. should i get it done?

My friend's family problems

My best friend, Allie, is having family problems and I am wondering how to support her. Her mom has recently started drinking too much, smoking and having a bad attitude. Allie (15) has two younger siblings (aged 12 and 13). Her mother is constantly yelling at Allie, but not the other two children. Allie is expected to run the family.
Allie's parents are divorced. When Allie is at her father's house she is made a slave. She is trated very unfairly (I have been to her father's house and I came home crying because they were so mean to us).
Allie's father a few years ago made her live with him (normally she just goes there on weekends) because her mother was 'too unstable'.

Planning 10 Class - Not wanting to share info

In my 'Planning 10' class at school we have to do an assignment about vision setting. We are supposed to write about how we see ourself in ten years (personal, education and career).
The problem is that we need our parents to make constructive critism about our plans. I do not want to share my personal, educational or career plans with my family.. or teacher for that matter. I have a really big problem with it.
I have thought of letting a friend write for my parents (so I wouldn't have to show them) or to lie about it all. I know who I am and who I want to be and it is perfectly normal, however I do not like to share this information. My planning teacher says if I have such a problem with it...

Coping with a breakup

I recently broke up with my boyfriend of 1 year and 7 months. Recently as in 3 days ago. Even though I was the one who broke it off, I still yearn to talk to him and see him and to have the friendship we used to have. He was my first boyfriend and I've never ever been as close to someone as I was to him. We did EVERYTHING together for the past year and a half. The reason we broke up is because he was very insecure with me and never let me go out with other guys. He says he's insecure because I wasn't open with our relationship, meaning I never really openly told people that I had a boyfriend. Hey guys. I'm getting a new phone this week, and the phone I currently have has no sim card. It's only 2 years old, though. But, it has no place for a sim card, and it doesn't have one.
Haha, so my question is once I get a new phone with the same service (sprint) will my phone number be the same? I'm just wondering if it'll transfer over to my new phone. Thank you SO much. :)

Two Boys, Two Dates, One weekend

I am 16/f a sophomore. Both the guys i am gonna talk about are 18/m seniors.
I had been "talking" to the one guy for a good two weeks, long night phone calls, a date, exchanging flirtacious banter, ect. He would even skip his class to come down and eat lunch with me. Myspace..

On Myspace on a lot of pages when you go on it a pop up pops out that says Click to run an Active-X control on this webpage. It started happening to my myspace page just recently. I thought it was the layout so i deleted it, but it still popped out. I deleted everything off of my page and it was still popping out. Is there any way to get rid of this annoying pop up because it sometimes kicks people off my page?
