glasses hurt

i recently got a contacts refit and a prescription for glasses (my first time wearing glasse) now i have my glasses but theres something off about them. they have astigmatism accounted for but i had a headache when i put them on and took them off. is the prescription for glasses diff than contacts since contacts like wrap around the eye and glasses dont?

i read the book "the catcher in the rye" by j.d. salinger a while ago (maybe months to a year ago) and i remember certain parts of the book pretty well but certain parts i don't remember at all.
i wanted to read this book over the summer because i heard that we're going to be reading it this upcoming schoolyear in english and i was just planning ahead. however, when i realized i remembered parts, i looked online for summaries of the book, etc. to refresh my memory (although there are still big gaps).
a few questions.
1.) i have like five more books i DEFINITELY want to read this summer (all for english this upcoming year) that i've never read before. do you think i should read "the catc...

14/F I have this best friend that I absolutely love. He is so cool and makes me feel good.He is not popular neither am I. That is why people make fun of him. He also has a deaf ear. Met this guy online that I really like

So I met this guy online that I really like and I've known him for about a year. We just started talking on the phone a couple days ago at around midnight for like 2 hours and just yesterday we IMed each other for like the entire day and talked about nothing. :P
Problem is, we live about 600 miles away from each other so we can't see each other.
I'm 15 and he's 15- what do you suggest? Does he feel the same way about me?

a bad knee + gymnastics / cheerleading = lots of pain! Help please :(

hey ppls.
i love gymnastics and ive always wanted to do it(im 13 and have never been in classes)but i had a bad left knee and i had surgery on it. but when i had the bad knee i was favouring it so i had to put most of my weight on my right knee and it kinda made that one hurt too. but i just started to notice that it hurt not too long ago. and then ive had to favour my right knee and put my weight on my left. so now both of my knees hurt. i really want to do gymnastics but for alot of the moves you have to have strong legs and knees and i really dont know what to do about it. please help.

Ok so I like this guy(Alex) and my best guy friend asked me out(Devlin).
Now I couldn't say no to my bestie! That would be harsh! But I didn't know that Alex the guy I've liked for 11months likes me! He asked me out and I had to say no, it realy sucks cause I don't want to ruin mine and Devlin's friendship but I dont want to go out with him...I want to be with Alex(Who/I only gets top see me/him between 1am and 5:30am whitch sucks for sleeping!).
I like Devlin but more as an older brother..and I love Alex. How do I let Dev down without hurting much if at all??

I keep seeing films or reading books (and I know this might be unrealistic) where the girl meets this guy somewhere, he's really amazing, and they just hang out and flirt and you know they're going to end up together. Even if they don't love each other, they do really like each other.

lip piercing is weird ?

alright so I got my lip pierced about two weeks ago. I think that at one point it was infected (there was greenish gooey stuff) but I kept cleaning it&now it doesn't have discharge, it doesn't burn or hurt, &im pretty sure that if it was infected, its not anymore. but I was putting a new stud in earlier today, and I noticed that on the inside, the skin around the piercing is like an off-white, slightly grayish color. is this normal ? what could it be ? please respond with what you think it is, &how sure you are that you're right. thanks !

ok so this is a pretty long question with a few parts, please answer all.
in the beginning of july, i saw an old friend from when i was younger. i'd seen him a few times since but he'd grown a lot this past time. he's become really cute and my mom agrees, she really liked the idea of us possibly getting together. we started talking but my past with guys made it difficult to fully trust him and i got kind of bitchy to him, which i take full responsibility for. now we aren't talking and its been a week since he's talked to me and he just ignores me now, even though i've apologized. this saturday is his graduation party so i'm going to have to see him. how should i react to seeing him when i know he's not as thrilled as i am? ho...

I was at Borders on Friday looking at books when I came across one and I do not remember the title, or author =X sorry but it's really been bugging me.
It starts off with the girl looking at the window waiting for her Ex Boyfriend to come.. or a boy that killed himself during the summer. And he keeps asking her to let him in and she keeps telling him no. And she's like Maybe if I chopped down that tree...

Shampoo Question.

This is a really random question., I tried doing an online search, but found no helpful information.
Today I bought some shampoo and conditioner, and left it in the car for a few hours while I was doing errands. It was very hot outside, and at the end of the day, I noticed that the bottles of shampoo and conditioner were warm from all the heat.
Can the heat affect the effectiveness of the shampoo/conditioner? I know you aren't supposed to leave beauty products (like makeup) out in the heat for an extended amount of time, and was wondering if the same thing applies to shampoo.

and everyones advice was good.
but all this stuff with my boyfriend is making me so sad. and its driving me crazy.
i dont have like any girls that are friends cause me and girls just dont get along
and every guy that i talk to tell me to just break up with him and of course a guy would tell me that cause they wanna get with me
but i know their serious casue they see how sad i am.
but i just cant break up with him. im too inlove with him and ill be ever sadder
but my boyfriend and me live in different states
so the only thing our relationship really relies on is talking and trust and communicating and all that. but we dont even do that....
