Belly ring 14/f

Question Posted Wednesday August 6 2008, 3:22 am

I was just wondering how old do you have to be to get a belly ring??? I'm planning to get one either when I turn 16 or when I'm close to turning 16 and I was also wondering is it better to get one sooner or later???

I was 11 when I got mine pierced. It was my 11th birthday in sixth grade. If you're under 18, no matter what piercing you get, you'll always have to have a parent with you. To me, it didn't hurt at all. I actually didn't even realized she had pierced it yet until she said all done! Haha. Good luck!

I was 13 when I got my first one. To go into a tattoo shop you have to be 13, so I'm guessing thats how old. As long as you have a parent with you to sign the papers because you are not 18, you can get it done. Take very good care of it. Chances are it will get infected, but don't freak out how everyone does. Do not clean it with rubbing alcohol. Don't change it to soon, thats how my bottom one got infected. Good luck!
