Is it true that you cannot get an STD if you have sex during your period?

My friend was telling me that if you have sex whiel you're on your period you cannot get an STD because of the blood flowing it out of you too quickly. She said she had sex with her boyfriend who had herpes and she didn't get it because they had sex while she was on her period. She totally isn't lying, I'm sure. I was curious if this was actually true though because it does kind of sound a little iffy to me and maybe she just had good luck or something. So, is it true that you can't get an STD if you have sex on your period?

If you have a cold sore can you give it to your partner during oral sex?

I usually have a coldsore every winter and I never thought anything big about it until recently. I read that cold sores are actually a strain of herpes virus and that you can spread it to other people. I also read something about spreading it to someone's lips by kissing them or...on their genitals if you give them head or eat them out! I don't want to give my boyfriend herpes on his dick though and I've been giving him head for weeks now! So, if you have cold sores on your mouth when giving oral sex, can your partner really contract genital herpes? What should I do if I've put him at risk? Should we both see a doctor about this herpes thing?!

feeling depressed and low about husbands behaviour

I have been married for 20 years. My husband has continuously led his life going out and has hobbies that keep him very busy. He has travelled to different countries to fulfil his hobby. He also joined a gym whilst I was at home with the children, he start kick boxing and goes cycling with friends. I used to enjoy music and learned classical music whilst I was younger but could not continue with this with my responsibilies. How do I tell my boyfriend that I don't want to have sex right now? He told me last night that he really wants to bang me and is really looking forward to it. I tried to talk to him about it but he doesn't know I'm a virgin and so he doesn't think it's a big deal.

Everyone says that we should plan ahead before my boyfriend and I have sex. I've heard things like we should talk about STDs and protection against pregnancy befoer we even start to do anything sexual. I want things to be romantic and to go smoothly when we have sex for the first time. I haven't really brought this up with my boyfriend though. I was wanting to give him my virginity on his birthday next month but I want him to know about it so he can look forward to it. How do I talk to my boyfriend about becoming intimate? What exactly should we talk about anyway? I don't want to just throw it at him and surprise him with such a serious discussion so...how do I go about this sex-talk?

I've been seeing this guy for two months now and he's pretty terrific. About a week ago we started to talk about having sex. I've never had sex before but he's been with two girls previously. He says he knows what to do so it won't be so clumsy and awkward but I'm kind of stuck on if I should have sex with him or not.

I've been dating this guy for almost a month now and he seems to be a pretty good guy but things about him make me think he is only using me. He keeps hinting to me that he wants me to suck him off or have sex with him and it's getting pretty annoying. okay so i have been dateing a guy or at least with him for nearing three and a half years. we have been through hell and back. basically our relationship is open to public but my mom knows.

Problem with stepmom

I am 26 years old and having problems with my stepmom for at least 15 years. She continues to make negative remarks about my mother. I have tolerated her as long as I feel I can. I would like to have a relationship with my father, but he always sticks up for her. My sister told me of my stepmoms most recent remarks. I need some opinions of how I can calmly approach my dad without putting my sister in the middle and at the same time getting him to understand where I am coming from. Any ideas would really help.

I am a 32 year old divorcee with three children. For the last six months I have been dating a wonderful man he is good to me and to my children.
