Is the Charlie Charlie Challenge Real? Am I Cursed?
Question Posted Thursday May 28 2015, 3:39 am
My friends did the challenge but we didn't know we had to say charlie charlie can we stop? before we could stop playing! Are we all going to be haunted until we die or just the person who first asked to summon the demon?
Lilyadvice answered Monday June 1 2015, 9:51 pm: The Charlie charlie thing is very real and should not be played with. I can't say for sure that you will be haunted, but if you didn't know it was summoning demons, I don't think you will be cursed. I don't know whether or not you are religious, but if so, I think you should stay around a chapel or church or with people involved in that kind of thing. From what I've learned, evil spirits can't defeat a church or people of the church. The Charlie charlie thing should definitely be stopped because it is summoning spirits that even the news has catched on with. If you haven't finished it, you definitely should stop. I think you will be okay. The less attention you give those things, the better! :) [ BLONDShorty's advice column | Ask BLONDShorty A Question ]
Danicus answered Monday June 1 2015, 3:42 pm: Did you see the pencils move without anyone blowing on them or moving them some other way? If you believe its real and you wanna be on the safe side. Maybe you can ask it to play, then ask him if you can stop playing? Or the person that did it, should do it. If you weren't even around, then I guess you're ok. I've seen videos on youtube that say how you're supposed to get rid of it. I'm sure there's other info on the internet about how to get rid of it if you forgot to ask permission to leave.
The worst thing you can do is worry about it. Your mind will make it real even if its not. Do the research to get rid of it and you'll probably feel better once you did it. Just be careful that these people are not trolling you. [ Danicus's advice column | Ask Danicus A Question ]
eagle969 answered Sunday May 31 2015, 1:20 pm: I know that im wasting my time but ok lets do this charlie charlie challenge is one kind of another internet trend just like the ice bucket challenge etc.You will ask me but the pencils are moving on themselves well they are moving by something called gravity since the shape and that we put them one on top of the other it is sure that with the smallest move even with your breath they are sure to move try this give a little push to a pencil while it is on a table just with your nail or even blow some air on it from a small distance you will see that it moves.and now as i guess you must be at around 14-15 or younger you are scared because your brain after you read the charlie challenge effects were scary it entered the fight or flight motion you know the one that when you are alone at your house you tend to hear sounds when nothing at all happens.
Remember you are scared just because you saw what other people wrote and also you will say that i don't know and i was making this stuff up but back when i was at around 11-12 we had something you must have heard it the bloody mary (the one where you say three times bloody mary in front of the mirror while in the dark and with candles on) the myth said the bloody mary a woman in a wedding dress will appear and kill i did and after i read about the supposed dead lady that will appear and kill me i didnt sleep for around 2-3 days guess what happened nothing also the people who believed in it mustnt have heard that bloody mary was a nickname given to elizabeth A' queen of england's stepsister for the gruesome murders of the protestant people back in the 1500s if you dont believe me search in wikipedia Mary I of england so to conclude this one is just another trend to scare people so its the bloody mary or charlie charlie many will come, many will go as long as people who easliy believe in what they see
Hope it helps you understand [ eagle969's advice column | Ask eagle969 A Question ]
YoungMommy answered Sunday May 31 2015, 12:36 pm: Charlie Charlie is just a game. Its actually gravity and the delicate position of the balancing pencils that make it move. Charlie is not real. You're not cursed everything is going to be just fine :) [ YoungMommy's advice column | Ask YoungMommy A Question ]
If you're one to follow fads then all I can really do is shake my head.
This is no different than bloody mary or the Kylie Jenner challenge or the "forward this email or you'll die" stupid Crap...
It's a scare tactic to make weak minded people become hysterical over absolutely nothing.
If you're afraid of demons then you also should not be trying to summon them in the first place. It's not like this is Supernatural and they are human infesting push overs. Or like in Constantine where they are influencers of good and evil.
The power of thought is a very powerful thing but what's even more powerful is Fear. And it leads people to do stupid stuff.
If you really want demons to manifest outside of your head, believe in a religion that has them. Then denounce and lose your faith in the god of that religion. Blaspheme him or her. In losing your faith turn to hating them. Sin more than ever and if you're worthy enough to be possessed, you very well possibly could be.
Just remember, the weaker minded you are the more apt you are to believe and fall for all the stupid Crap the media feeds you.
95% of social media today relaying "News" isn't really the news. It's advertising, product placement and discussions about topics and people that are not truly important and have no business being in any kind of limelight. [ Dear_Amanda's advice column | Ask Dear_Amanda A Question ]
Boogeylady answered Sunday May 31 2015, 3:53 am: Hi sweetie,
I really recommend going to a church and asking for prayer for this to be off you,as that is the only way this will go away, curses are real, and prayer is the only way for them to get off of you
You and your friends will be okay sweetie
Dont worry <3

Ocalaphernella answered Saturday May 30 2015, 9:55 pm: Don't worry. Charlie Charlie is a fake game created by some troll. The trick is that when you get close, you may not realize it, but your breath, or some other quick movement causing motion, moves the pencils. There is not supernatural activity going on in this game. So either your friends moved it on purpose, or accidently. Now the ouiji board.. That's still up for debate.
Hope this helps~ [ Ocalaphernella's advice column | Ask Ocalaphernella A Question ]
Grandfather answered Saturday May 30 2015, 11:44 am: While it's not a good idea to summon spirits of any kind, "Charlie" can't "possess" you or force you to do anything that you don't want to do. It's possible, since you invited "him" in, that "he" may stay around for a while and try to harass and scare you. [ Grandfather's advice column | Ask Grandfather A Question ]
isis answered Saturday May 30 2015, 10:55 am: Absolutely not! This is just a story put around to frighten people and you should take no notice at all. If this sort of thing is going to bother you, don't play these games until you are old enough to understand that it is nonsense and relies on the fear factor to make a game more appealing. GiddyGeezer answered Saturday May 30 2015, 10:30 am: Just stop playing.Fear is the only thing haunting you. Look around you, nothing has happened to anybody has it? Everything is the just the same as it was before, only now you are scared. If you take away the fear everything is the same as it always was, right? That is the whole purpose of games like this, fear is why they "work". Fear causes people to imagine all kinds of bad things. Bad things happen sometimes, that is part of life, not because you played some scary game. I am sure some bad things happened before you ever played this game, right? There is no Charlie(except in your minds)The harmful part of a game like this is people get scared so bad they become sick or do stupid things because they are too scared to think clearly. Just tell yourself it is a stupid game and you are not going to play it anymore and there is nothing to be afraid of, ok? If your friends want to keep playing just tell them you think the game is silly and immature and you not a little kid anymore and they will have to play by themselves! If you can be the brave one and stop playing your friends will soon follow your lead. Forget all this nonsense and have a wonderful summer vacation! Kori_Rice answered Saturday May 30 2015, 10:01 am: You should never play with demons. You should pray to Jesus and anoint your house with holy oil and pray about it to keep the demons away. If you're a child of God, you don't have to worry about that. [ Kori_Rice's advice column | Ask Kori_Rice A Question ]
Razhie answered Thursday May 28 2015, 10:54 am: Not real.
The Charlie Charlie Challenge is just gravity. There is nothing supernatural or demonic about it.
Try doing the same thing with pencils without any incantation or even writing anything out - the pencils will still move! We just assume it has something to do with spirits because humans are stupid like that. We always want to 'blame' something when we see something we don't understand. So someone made up this demon Charlie to explain a perfectly natural thing that happens, just like ancient people made up a chariot of gold that dragged the sun across the sky because they didn't understand the perfectly natural way the sun burns and the earth revolves around it...
When you tell yourself silly stories like this, you are putting your brain into a state where it is extra suggestible and fearful. In effect, it becomes real only because you believe in it. If anything creepy starts happening - it's only because you expect it too and and are taking special notice of it. You didn't summon a demon. You just told yourself a scary story and now you are scared. When you stop believing the scary story, you will stop being scared. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
