advice

I am babysitting at a familys party... there will be 6-8 kids aged 1-8... what can i do to entertain them while keeping all ages interested

games, with balls. Like soccer, basketball, baseball. Twister. Play with toys like legos or books or dolls. Also, movies and crafts are good. Like coloring. :)

I recently babysat for one of my husband's coworkers for a few days. After seeing a few warning signs, I'm beginning to think that the children are not being taken care of and that she may be abusing them.

This woman brings the children out in freezing weather with no jackets. She drops them off with no supplies. The children don't appear to have been bathed. They have severe, untreated diaper rash which leads me to think they're not being changed like they should. I've also noticed bruises on one of the children. It could be from bumping something, but from the look of the bruises I suspect the child was hit. When I feed them, they act like they haven't been fed in a while.

I've tried talking to her, but she told me it was none of my business. I'm worried what might happen if I don't do something. Should I call social services and report my suspicions?

Okay this summer I may have to babysit my next door neighbor...every weekday (not too sure on the days and time) but anyways...she's maybe 12 or 13..either way she is ALOT younger than I am and i dont like younger girls all too much...anybody know what 12-13 year old girls would like to do? She has a trampoline in her backyard and i'm sure shes got loads of board games but i'm not sure what to do at all...can anyone help?

how much should i charge when i am babysitting?
i babysit 3 children ages, 9, 5, and 2 and i am 13 yrs old. i also babysit my cousins that are 4 and 1. how much i was thinking like 3$ an hr per kid but then i saw an episode of full house and DJ babysat and only charged 2.50 an hr and those shows are from like forever ago so now 3$ per hr per kid seems too low! help! i dont want to be rude to the kids parents and ask for too much *remember i am only 13*

$5 for one kid. then as the # of kids increases add 1 or 2$. depending on the age. For your cousins charge $7 per hour, because a 4yo and a 1yo are a lot of work. The for the other people, I would charge either $6 or $7 depending on the time of day and the number of hours you will be working!

If you ever need anything, just ask! I've been babysitting for around 4 years! :)

let him show you, and ask him, he'll be good, probably, and he'll know what he wants to do! but maybe monopoly or trouble or sorry, and maybe watch a movie like shrek, or something like that or spiderman.

well, i had a kid like that, and usually gets better after a while. talk to the mother about it, and she can probably help, also, after your babysit for a while, it should get better, it did for me!

there is not an age, it is a maturity thing.
