Getting an appetizer doesn't look that bad, but you might want to opt for a salad, since it's the safest choice. The only bad part is you can get salad stuck in your teeth. Personally, when I go to Applebee's I order their steak teriaki that comes out on the hotplate. It's really good, but if you're a picky eater, you might not like it. Try the Applebee's website, they probably give a menu, so you can preview things before you even get there so you have an idea on what you might like.
