advice

You know like on America's next top model when they ask them to pose nude? or like any other nude models? How do they do it if they're on their period?

So what if they're on their period. It's not like they're going to get blood everywhere by posing for a little while. They probably wear tampons. Or perhaps wait until after their period.

i have my period and i wore a tampon for about 8 hours today. i started feeling light headed and i am having major cramps..they hurt soo bad. is this tss? im really scared. will it just go away?

what should i do? the last thing i want to do is tell my dad (no mom) and have to go to the doctors or something.

please help!

These are the symptoms of TSS:
"Symptoms of toxic shock syndrome can be hard to recognize because they mimic the flu. If you experience sudden high fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting, or a rash that looks like a sunburn during your period or a few days after, contact your doctor right away. Also, if you're wearing a tampon, remove it immediately. One or two weeks after initial symptoms begin, flaking and peeling of the skin occurs, mainly on the palms and soles. If your doctor determines that your symptoms are TSS, you will probably be sent to a hospital for treatment. With proper treatment, patients usually get well in two to three weeks."

You're supposed to change your tampon between 4 and 8 hours. You left yours in no longer than the maximum time, which brings me to think you will be fine and are over reacting. If you start to develop any other symptoms, tell a female in your family if possible. If not, you should just tell your dad. I know it can be embarrassing, but for future reference, all females get periods and even men know this! It's nothing you have to keep to yourself, especially at a time like this.

Okay. Well this lady came to my house to adopt two of my hamsters from the litter i had. She came with her really cute step son, but i dont remember his name! Just be brave and call his house number. If his mum picks up, say you're the girl who let them adopt your hamsters and ask to talk to her son. If she asks why, say he called you and you forgot to say something. Who knows - he may even pick up the phone. Then you can apologize for sounding rude and ask him to hang out another day. :)

Okay so I recently started dating a football player at my highschool. We dated for about a week, and while we were dating there was another boy (a black boy) who started to flirt with me and he asked me out everyday every chance he got, I started to flirt with this boy and I started to like him too.

I soon later, Broke up with my boyfriend to date this boy. I told my boyfriend I wanted to wait until after football season was over so I could actually spend time with him outside of school and he said he understood.

You tell him flat out no. You don't want to do it.
Explain to him why - whether it makes you feel uncomfortable, or you just don't enjoy it. Don't say it's stupid - it sounds like a bad excuse because some people really like to do it.
Next time you see him, have a few words with him about it. It's a silly thing to get into arguments etc about phone sex.
He should understand, and if he doesn't and gets mad over little things like that, if I were you, I'd reconsider being in a relationship with him.

15/f. I pierced three holes on both my ears (2 on the right, 1 left) by myself. When I did it, there were NO infections on either of the holes. My question is...if I pierced my ears without getting an infection, would piercing the cartilage work the same? Is there anyone that did it themselves?

Piercing your ears (which was foolish to do in the first place, but I'm glad yours turned out fine) is not the same as piercing cartilage.
For a start, cartilage is a riskier area and if something did happen to go wrong, it could turn out to be quite serious. I'm talking reconstructive surgery to help build your ear back into shape. I've seen it happen before.
If you have the correct equipment (right sized jewelry and needle), AUTOCLAVED needles/jewelry (which I'm guessing you can't get hold of because you are not a professional piercer - as this is the ONLY way to properly sterilize something), correct placement, then by all means, go ahead and do it.
It's better to be safe than sorry, yes? Just get it done professionally. Then you won't need to worry.

It depends on your age, maturity, whether you're ready and if you can handle the situations.
Everyone has different opinions on this matter. Personally, if you're a young teen, yes, I think it's too fast. Older (17+) then no, because you're old enough to make your own decisions and know exactly what you want.
Remember to only go past 1st base when you feel comfortable and when you're 100% ready to move further. Anything can happen in a relationship. It's not wise to give everything up within a short space of time.

It doesn't matter who puts the condom on. There's no rule, really. If you don't want to, just ask him to do it.
and the first time varies alot depending on the guy. Some are lucky to last 5 minutes, whereas others can keep going. If he's already ejaculated before you have sex, it will help him last longer.

No, you can't. Normally, if someone links you to a bulletin by someone who isn't on your friends list, it will take you directly to the home page.

You're not being slutty at all. It's not your fault you can't date yet. You both like each other, so what's the problem? Keep it to the level you are - hugging's fine. Save other stuff for when you are in a relationship.

You're normal. Everyones vagina comes in different shapes, sizes, colours.
If it gets in the way of sex badly and it really lowers your self esteem, you could get surgery to cut away excess parts. This should only be considered as a last resort though.
You can't expect something like a vagina to be pretty. I don't think you should worry about it so much.

I'm not one to be too concerned about my figure- seriously, I don't care if I don't have a bikini bod, and hardly ever watch what I eat too closely. But recently (last few months or so) my stomach has gotten pretty flabby. I'm also beginning to get more concerned about my health...so of course, I should eat more veggies, grains, protein, etc.. But As a health and fitness concern, what exersizes can I do to tone my stomach? A flabby stomach is hardly a sign of good health. Thanks

Do NOT make out with somebody who has a boyfriend. People WILL get hurt if it gets out. He'll be labeled a cheater and so will you for doing it willingly whilst knowing he isn't single.

Flirts don't sleep with alot of people.
There's nothing wrong with flirting if:
1. You don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend
2. You don't hurt anyone in the process (lead people on)

i straighten and blowdry my hair everyday, so what are some things to do so i can keep my hair nice and healthy? and which one is worse: blowdrying hair straight or straightening hair?

They're both bad, but straightening is obviously worse because they reach extremely high temperatures and they actually touch and pull your hair straight.
Think about letting your hair dry naturally. Or towel dry and use the cool setting on the hair dryer if it has one.
Make sure you use a good quality shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair.
If possible, use a heat protector spray before you dry and straighten.
Cut the dead ends of your hair regularly so it's not all split and horrible.
Every month, apply a deep nourishing hair mask to your hair.
Those tips should help keep your hair looking healthy ;)

Of course not. It's specially for babies so it will be very mild on your hair. It's good for people with sensitive scalps. If there's no reason for you to be using it, use a regular shampoo specifically for your hair type - it'll work better anyway.

halloween is around the corner. have u already prepared costumes for it? i am considering some items special. today i came accross some halloween masks, really cool! they got me crazy! but i have no idea which one to choose! please help me!

I like the last one LOL. I'm actually pretty scared after looking at it now. I think the hair does it for me :P
