okay i use that website and ive uploaded a couple of songs. but it only starts at the beging of the song. i was wondering if theres a way to change the start and ending of the song to have as a ring tone? sorry if that makes no sence. (link)

Hi there,
There is a way to get the part of the song you want to use into crostel ringtones... But it isn't on the crostel ringtones website. :-)
Open any audio editing program you might have on your computer, or download one if you don't have one.
Drop the sone you want to make into a crostel ringtone download, and cut off the parts of the real song that you do NOT want to be part of your ringtone.
Save the new file with a new name and upload to the crostel website. Perfect ringtones every time. :-)

Hi there,
After a LOT of searching, I am going to say probably not... BUT... You may be able to download videos of the various episodes of the TV show "State of Grace" from Apple's iTunes Video site.
I couldn't find a way to search their videos without installing iTunes, so please forgive me for not checking that out any further.
I spent quite a while searching for ANY legal sites which allow the viewing of old episodes of State of Grace, and found nothing at all.

Just to add another voice: I looked for 40 minutes and found nothing about the songs in the lifetime movie: "She's too young."
Nothing. Not a track listing, not a generic song list, just nothing at all.
If there is a sound track for She's Too Young, it is apparently top secret. :-)

so i got my camera today, for photo class
and i pulled out the film advace lever or whatever, with no film in it, now its like flopping around
did i break it?

Unless you really yanked on the film advance lever, everything should be fine.
Press the shutter release button and see what happens with the film advance.
There is a fantastic books on getting familiar with your new camera. Look for something along the lines of 35mm SLR For dummies.
Those are great books for learning new things, and they have a "dummies" book for just about everything now. There are MANY different photography for dummies books that cover different aspects of photography.
You might find several that will help you become a successful photography student! :-)

I was going to ask this on the advice_admin column, but every time I ask a question there, no one EVER responds. So sorry if this is the wrong place, but I did not know where else to go.
Usually when people ask questions, once they are approved they show up in the column on the right hand side of the screen. Well, my questions, as of late, never do. Then I end up not getting any answers.

I can absolutely tell you why:
How many questions have you answered lately?
You see the questions on the side bar only add another approved one to the site once one has been answered.
Right now there is a 24 hour backlog, which I am assuming will clear up when people get settled into the new school year.
The solution to your questions not making the site in a timely fashion is in your hands: Answer questions. :-)
As for the advice_admin account. All urgent questions regarding site problems are answered ASAP. Others are answered as time permits, or if they don't belong in the admin box, have been answered in the FAQ, etc... they are deleted.
Bug reports are answered when they are fixed, and site suggestions are answered when they are added to the to-do list.
As for your questions of late... I looked and saw one question that didn't have an answer yet.
It will be on the list soon, I am sure.

Every time I try to go to my advice column, it always shows a 404 error. Is this a glitch, or is it because I have characters other than numbers & letters in my username? And if it's the latter, is there any way to change your username without having to make a new one? (link)

If you have any HTML characters in your username, they are stripped out by security program.
Therefore:
U/S\EN&A{M}E
Would become:
USERNAME, which wouldn't be right, so the system things no column exists.

I bought Xingtone Ringtone Maker a long time ago, and I haven't used it in about 3 months. So when I opened Xingtones it was alright and everything, but then I tried to open a song and It wouldn't work.. it would just have the dotted lines but it wouldn't play the song. Anyone know what the problem is?? I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, changing the format (.wav, .mp3, .cda, .mpeg) and I looked on their website at FAQ but none of these worked..... anyone know the problem?? I've done it before, so I have about 10 songs on my phone, but now all of a sudden it doesn't open the song. (link)

Dear Xingtone problems,
Have you upgraded to the latest version? If you haven't, that may have something to do with it, I am not sure how picky they are about that with the Xingtone ring maker.

Emusic doesn't make it easy to find their search tool:

Write the customer service department and ask them to add your favorite artists if they aren't listed. Other than that, you have an excellent reason to cancel your emusic.com account:
"emusic.com doesn't have the music I want!"
... They may add it just because you asked, I don't know how their customer service is.

samsung 19" LE19R86WDX Freeview HD Ready LCD TV (White)
ok so i have that tv in my room and recently i lent it to my friend when hers broke...
when i got it back and tried to plug it back in i discovered that there was no sound.... well i dont think she returned it damaged or anything because i may have bent the tip of the cable (it looks like this cable:

but the tip is thiner and there is a an attached golden tube thing that connects it and screws on to the tv at the back where it says cable out an in (one tip connecting to tv the other to cable receiver)
anyway... well the problem is that there is no sound. i thot it was the volume so i adjusted it from both the receiver and the tv but its not that. and then there are the three colored wires at the back (blue green red) which i put in the rite sockets but still nothing. that leaves me with this wire... what is it for and how do i know if it is damaged? and which plug is for the sound? Hi there,
The cable that screws on is called co-ax, or coaxial cable. Usually that carries both audio and video.
So if you have selected "cable" as your input, you should be getting sound.
With the three cables like what you pictured (RCA cables, by the way) if they are properly color coded then the yellow one is video and the red and white ones are the right and left stereo sound respectively.
If you have tried both of those, and don't get sound, the problem lies elsewhere.
A good idea at this point it to connect it to something else. Try connecting it directly to your DVD player/Xbox/Playstation/Wii/whatever else... and see if you get sound.
If you do, then look at the reciever from that point out.
If not...
I hate to ask this... but have you pressed the "mute" button? Just checking. :-)
If you go into the menu on the TV, look at the audio settings and see if anything that should be ON is OFF.
That is about all I can suggest for basic troubleshooting.

Well im trying to upload something i make in movie maker and im trying to upload it on youtube its the right size and less then 10 minutes and anyways right it uploads but stops half way as in while its uploading it'll go to 55 or 60 then stop there anyway i can fix it ? (link)

Usually failed video upload are just a temporary thing with YouTube, but if it is continuing, or you try with another file and get the same video upload failure at YouTube:
On the screen where you select the video file to upload to YouTube, there is this text and link:
"Click here if you are having problems with the uploader."
... Click that, and it will give you another way to upload videos to YouTube.
If this one gives you the same issue, then there is something between you and the YouTube servers.
Some people have internet companies that won't allow you to send files bigger than a certain size, which sucks when it makes for broken video uploads at YouTube. :-(
If that is the case, I don't know what to tell you, except to get another internet company if you can.
Almost always, clicking the link I told you about will let you upload your video to You Tube correctly.
