35MM SLR CAMERA!?

so i got my camera today, for photo class
and i pulled out the film advace lever or whatever, with no film in it, now its like flopping around
did i break it?
or will it go back to normal once i put film in it?

Hi there,

Unless you really yanked on the film advance lever, everything should be fine.

Press the shutter release button and see what happens with the film advance.

There is a fantastic books on getting familiar with your new camera. Look for something along the lines of 35mm SLR For dummies.

Those are great books for learning new things, and they have a "dummies" book for just about everything now. There are MANY different photography for dummies books that cover different aspects of photography.

You might find several that will help you become a successful photography student! :-)
