I came here to answer computer questions. (This used to say "...and nothing more.")

What I meant was, I don't know how much help I would be with other things... NOT that I would be upset if you asked a non computer question!

If i just joined a guild but i dont want to be in it anymore cause i want to make my own guild, how do i get out of that guild that i just went in? if that makes any sense (link)
Urban rivals is new to me, but a little research shows that the urban rivals FAQ says nothing about leaving a guild, so here you are.

I found this in the forums:

https://www.urban-rivals.com/community/forum/?mode=viewsubject&subject_page=0&id_subject=564499

... which makes it sound like quitting an urban rivals guild is pretty easy once you have been approved and are active in the guild.

If that isn't helping, then use the contact info for urbanrivals.com here:

http://www.urban-rivals.com/staff/contactus.php

... to ask them directly. Don't forget to suggest that they should add this to the urban rivals FAQ.

i recent purchased a body kit for my teal blue 95 mustang with boss sticker decals.

before i started calling places i figure i would ask my question here.

i want to paint it silver, get rid of the stickers, and replace them with black airbrush.

the whole car too, not just exterior, like door cracks, engine compartment, trunk, the whole deal.

i figured 8-9 thousand.

but i was wondering what difference there is as far paint, money, and overall quality as i go down in price.

hope i get some good detailed answers. if you answer you can count on being rated. (link)
I did work in a body shop for a short while when I was younger, and it was a VERY educational experience.

First word of advice is this: The work you are talking about is custom work. Don't expect to go to a mainstream paint and body place and be happy with the result.

My answer is crippled by not knowing what your area is like. If you are in a big city on the west coast, shops that can do the work you want are pretty common. If you are in the sticks, you will have to journey to get it done.

Next question I can't really answer without more info on your mustang paint and body dreams: Is this going to be driven after you get it painted, or will it spend the rest of the days it has on this Earth being pushed on and off of trailers at car shows?

If you are building a trailer queen, then you probably want to spend the money. Don't skimp if you expect trophies.

Unless you have some reason to jeep things fairly stock, then it might be time to get some other things done. Things you will NOT be able to do as patchwork one the paint goes on:

Shave the Mustang's door handles.

French anything you want on your mustang, but do it before you paint.

Hide the antenna. (This will require power conversion of the antenna if it isn't already.)

Have custom license plate mounts made/installed.

If you are converting to any kind of high-end lighting (high output headlights that work, as in focused beam with precision aligned lenses.) you will want to get that done pre-paint.

If you have any suspension work you want done, get it done pre-paint. There are many hammers involved in suspension fitting... one will find your paint.

Any, and I mean ANY engine or transmission work on your Mustang needs to be done before you paint. There is no excuse to have anything less than perfection in the drive train if you are going to spend the better part of $10,000 on paint.

Well, there is one excuse: You plan on doing the car show circuit and winching the thing on and off the trailer. ;-)

Now, if you aren't going to show the car, I am going to try to talk you out of spending so much on paint.

Eight layers of hand rubbed lacquer has no place on a daily driver. This is just my opinion, but I have reasons:

1) The nicer the paint, the worse any flaw in it stands out.

2) You don't just dab some touch-up paint on a paint job like you are talking about. Everything is a professional job from here on out or you will look ridiculous.

3) Your insurance isn't going to pay for what they call minor paint damage.

4) One shopping cart, and your car looks like crap.

So what do you do? Find a good shop, get the color you like in a reasonable quality brand, and then pay for the best clear coat money can buy.

Look for a lowrider shop, if there is one in your city. Your car will come out looking better than you dreamed it could, for less money than you though possible. This has been my experience, anyway.

My theory on a street car is this: You will be painting it again, so budget for the resprays you will be doing on your 95 Mustang.

In other words, if you can get a very respectable paint job for $2,000 then you can have the thing painted 4 times in the life of the car, should you so desire. For $4,000, you can do it twice.

If you really want to spend the better part of $10k on a one-shot paint job, then the car really should be on a trailer if you want to be happy with the longevity of the paint job.

As far as the difference as you go down in price... well, this can really only be answered by the shop that will be doing the work. Example: For $1,000 you probably aren't going to have the car taken down to bare metal for primer and paint. For $10,000 you will.

Quality of paint isn't really something that is going to be terribly changed considering your budget. The money isn't in the paint, really, when you start talking about a $10k paint job. Most all of the money will be in the prep work. Preparing the car for a bare metal spray is a tremendous amount of work. This is where your money is going.

Here is the BEST advice I can give you on this whole thing: Go to a paint shop in the barrio. Ask to see a demo book of their recent work, or better yet, look at the current projects just finished and ask how much they were. If you see the most beautiful paint in the world, and they say it was a $3,000 job, then that is what you should state your budget as. :-)

Remember: Owning this car is supposed to be enjoyable, right? If you aren't building a trailer queen, then the stress of worrying about your paint every time you park will ruin your ownership experience completely. Ponder this before you go crazy with the paint job on your Mustang.

DN.

P.S. If you have any stereo work that needs to be done, get it done pre-paint. People hammering custom panels into place have been known to miss. :-(

I have an interview tomorrow with A & F. I've actually been on an interview with them before. I know they do group interviews and I think they probably ask the same questions. I remember they asked about diversity and what it means to you and why you want to work there. Does anybody else who has been on an interview with them remember what the other questions were? Thank youu. (link)
I am sorry nobody was able to answer your question. Obviously, nobody else here has interviewed with them. :-(

Would you do me a favor? Would you mind answering your own question and let everybody else know what it was like?

As the administrator of this site, I can tell you that many people in the future will see your answer as they search about this in Google and other search engines which will show this page.

Thank you very much.

DN.

Is it okay to delete and repost a question if it gets literally zero answers? (Assuming it's not a bad question and you wait at least a week) (link)
Please send a link to the question you are talking about. The only one of yours I see that isn't answered was asked two days ago.

Does anyone know how long you can leave staples in safetly after surgery. I had my appendix removed and my father in law just died and I need to fly to his funeral. I am gonna miss my after surgery appt to remove them right away. I will go when I get back however. Should I go to the emergency room before I leave or will another week matter???????????????????? (link)
There are so many possible factors, that even if we were doctors, which we aren't, nobody here could give you a definite answer.

The best option is to call your doctor and ask. If you can't do that for some reason, and you have another doctor you can talk with, that would be second best.

Optionally, you could find a doctor at your destination who could remove them for you.

Before you go, however, you should really check with your doctor to be sure you can fly at all. Air travel can be very hard on the body.

I am sorry for your loss.

I was playin in a soccer game about 8 weeks ago and i went to kick the ball and after i kicked it. it hurt really bad so i though i spranted it but it was bout 3 weeks ago i figured out that a bone is sticking out( it is not a extra bone cause it is always swollen and hurting)but i dosent stick out the skin. But i dont know what to do.
PLEASE GIVE MY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO FOR MY FOOT. (link)
There is absolutely NOTHING else to do but go to the doctor.

Well, you could avoid the doctor, but your foot will probably heal badly, which will leave you as unable to run, play sports, dance or even walk comfortably for the rest of your life.

There are other health risks I don't even want to list here, but take it from someone who has had a severely broken bone or two, that you don't want to tangle with the the problems which come from not having this taken care of.

Please go to the doctor immediately.

my laptop is about three years old.

it's a windows thing, designed for windows XP which it is currently running....

Presario C300

Intel(R) Celeron(R) M CPU 420 @ 1.60GHz

x86 Family 6 Model 14 Stepping 8

and that's all the technical information i can possibly figure out. i'm horribly inept with technology.

i am on my laptop a lot, maybe even 6 hours a day (not in succession). the point is it's used a lot.

ANYWAY.

the fan is on the bottom. and it makes this horrible noise like 24/7, it totally didn't use to. it used to be silent. it sounds like someone gargling battery acid. nothing is abstructing the vents. it also overheats very easily, even when it's on a solid, normal surface like a table or a desk.

is my computer just getting old or are there things i can do to fix these problems?

thank you so much!
(link)
Hi there,

That noise is the bearing in the cooling fan failing. It turns less quickly than it is supposed to because of this and that is why your laptop is overheating.

The rule is this with laptops: When the fan makes a noise, you turn it off and don't turn it back on until the repair center has replaced the fan. Otherwise you are just asking for the death of your laptop.

The part number for the laptop cooling subsystem (Heatsink, heatpipe and fan) in a Compaq Presario c300 is:

409073-001

Here is an eBay search:

http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=409073-001&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Here is another search with more options:

http://desc.shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=409073-001&LH_TitleDesc=1&_fromfsb=0&_trksid=m270.l1313

... if you look in the "Stores" section you will find some at very reasonable prices.

Retail on the fan assembly (not from Compaq) seems to run between $80-$100, so anything less is good.

This is not a part you will be able to change yourself, but any qualified laptop repair place will be able to help you.

If you can manage it, it is a good idea to back up any data you want before you send it in for service. Set it in front of a serious fan, or air conditioner, if you can, while working on the backup to increase the chance of your laptop surviving.

If you have any other questions, ask away.

DN.

well.. i'm taking business ownership, and our first assignment was to choose a business... my information is completed.. but the only thing missing is the slogan... i'm planning to run a restaurant, and call it "Little Bear" it's not a small or big restaurant.. it's a regular size. and it's a "Proprietorship" and etc. "Little Bear" is going to have chinese food in it, like.. fried rice, salads, and everything else.. even hamburgers! I'm supposed to type it up.. i'm not very sure if that's the only information i type up.. i'm supposed to pretend that it's "real" and give the form to my teacher to see if he'd accept it or not. But, the main problem is.. is the slogan.

please help me! i'm not good at slogans.. i've been sitting here since forever and i still can't think of one. any ideas? (link)
Off the top of my head:

Little Bear Cares.

You get the best from Little Bear.

Little Bear... Big Service!

Little Bear... Big Value!

I hope you do well.

Let me know in feedback if you use one of mine, or what you do end up using no matter what it is. I am curious. :-)

whenever i run, my heart starts beating super fast and starts hurting really bad. what's wrong with me? it's always been like that. doctor says im totally healthy,.. so? (link)
Hello there,

Do you know when chest pain is OK?

Never.

Time to visit another doctor. A cardiologist would be good.

Paid users can see other questions a user has asked, but not who the user is, of course, and I noticed that you have been taking Prozac. Did you know it can cause cardiac problems? Rapid heartbeat is one of the side effects.

Not saying this is what it is, but any doctor you talk to needs to know about this.

Check this out:

http://injury-law.freeadvice.com/drug-toxic_chemicals/prozac-side-effects.htm

There are a pile of heart related side effects listed there.

If this happened before the Prozac, then never mind that.

Your heart should hurt... Never. If your doctor says it is nothing, get to a dedicated heart specialist who has a better knowledge of the heart than the average doctor.

I am not a doctor, and can only say: Ask your doctor, and talk to another one if you don't feel right about the answers you get.

Your heart is serious business, please take care of yourself.

how much a month in hillside villas

This website covers the Earth, and believe it or not, there is more than one place called by that name.

Could you give as much detail as possible please?

So, I'm dating a man I've known for a long time. I'm white and he's black. When people see photos of us together or hear about him, for some reason they always have to comment and say things like 'Oh he's black..." or "I'd never thought /you'd/ date a black guy."
I don't understand what the problem is personnaly, I love him and he's so fantastic.
I was wondering though, when you see a white girl and a black man, what do you automaticaly assume or think? Just interested to know.
(link)
I thought you might be interested in the typical stigma attached by society, more than another personal opinion.

Movies and such have most people who aren't black believing that all black men are drug dealers/thugs.

This means when the typical non-black sees you together, they may first think that you are with him because he gives you drugs in exchange for sex, or that you are attracted to the brainless thug type of man. Odds are the thought: "Oh, she's a crack whore." has passed through a head or three. :-(

The other commonly head belief is that all black men are well hung, which leaves a large chunk of society looking at you going: "Oh, she's a c**k whore." :-(

Neither of the above stereotypes are correct, of course, but if you wanted to go through the minds of most people that will ever see you together, that probably sums up what you would find.

Ok, I'm using a free trial of Avira Antivirus. I have a couple of questions about this.

First off, I'd like to purchase this program. However, I live in the US, and the ads that come up for it on my computer aren't in US dollars.
Is it possible for me to purchase this, and how would I go about doing that?

Also, starting today, every time I click on a question here on the site, I get a virus warning. Options being to deny access, ignore, quarantine.

When I click the link for information on the found virus, it tells me this: (which might as well be in Chinese, as much as I understand it.)

HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen - Malware

Virus: HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen
Date discovered: 14/08/2007
Type: Trojan
In the wild: Yes
Reported Infections: Low
Distribution Potential: Low
Damage Potential: Low
Static file: No
Engine version: 7.04.01.62

On both questions, I'm pretty much at a loss. The virus that it claims the questions here have is something that has just recently started today.

If it is any help:
My computer is HP, Windows XP Media Center.
I run two free virus programs Avira (being on a trial basis as of now) and Avast.
I also frequently run Ad-Aware SE (I also use the free version of that program.)

Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Sorry I was in an awful rush when I first answered:

I am not intimately familiar with the AV program you would like to purchase. Theymos did a complete review of them all, and I will bet he has a line on this. Drop him an inbox, if you don't mind. If he can't help, let me know and I will look into it when I am done wrangling with my hosting company.

Edit:

I went through the purchase process on the website, and it converts to US dollars on the page you actually enter your info on. :-)

No worries, just enter your info and it will sell to you on your own terms.

Im doing an assignment on Hever Castle, and I am trying to find out what TV programmes and Movies have been shot at the castle and surrounding grounds but I just cant seem to find anything.

I can't think of the right words to put into the search engine, and when I do think of something it comes up with the Hever theatre.

Any help? ;l (link)
Hi there,

Did you know that Hever Castle has a dedicated person for dealing with filming in the castle and the Hever Castle gardens?

They do!

And here is a link to the page with contact info:

http://www.hevercastle.co.uk/Home/FilmBroadcasting.aspx

... There is a nice person on the other end of the phone number listed there, that probably has a list of every movie, tv show (programme) and documentary ever filmed at Hever Castle.

There is also an e-mail address for Hever Castle media relations, which could be just as good.

On top of that, you can go to IMDB's advanced search page:

http://www.imdb.com/search

... scroll down to "Word Search:" and select "Location" from the drop-down box.

Enter Hever Castle, and see what you get. I got several, including King Ralph, which is one of my more favorite films. Always wondered where they filmed it. :-)

Have fun with your project. Sounds fun. :-)

Ok, I've become huge fan of the website www.zug.com
Anyway, most of the pranks and stories are written by 'Sir John Hargrave' is he actually a sir, or is it like a jokey nickname? (link)
Nope, Sir John Hargrave, the creator of zug.com had his name legally changed to "Sir John Hargrave" at his local county courthouse.

He is subject to arrest if he sets foot in the UK, as a matter of fact. Well, at least that is what "Sir" John Hargrave says.

Now, if you get into his site, you will find he has changed his name to several things for pranks. Ashton Kutcher being the most famous of his exploits, I think.

Short answer, no he isn't. Anyone can be "Sir" anything in this country, if your local court clerk is friendly. :-)

i cannot find Universe At War Cd-Key...

if anyone has it i will be VERY greatful!!

plz & thank you! (link)
Hi there,

It would be a federal crime to answer your question.

Since nobody here is likely to give you their legitimate Universe at War cd-key (which would mean they can't play Universe at War any more) you will get sent to crack and keygen sites, which will probably leave you loaded with spyware, and committing a crime. :-(

Since you just lost yours, why not head over to the Sega Universe at War help forums:

http://boards2.sega.com/uaw_board/

Meanwhile, I will delete this question to help everyone else stay out of trouble.

Ford Mondeo tdci 115 bhp, 103k miles. I've had the glo plug dash warning light flashing at me a couple of times over the last few weeks along with a marked loss of power from the engine. This problem rectified itself after re-starting the engine.

This morning, it started flashing again so I took it into the local dealer who has diagnosed a 'turbo fault' (£1,100 to you sir). I've looked through a number of discussion groups/forums and seen a variety of possible causes mentioned but not a bust turbo.

Has this been misdiagnosed? Surely a Ford main dealer wouldn't try and mislead a punter would it? (link)
I am afraid you are suffering something that is becoming so common as to be expected between 80-100k miles. :-(

Let me ask you this: Are you being given diagnostic error code # P2263 - "Unspecified turbo boost pressure problem, mechanical?"

If so, this hasn't proven to be turbo related in 100% of cases. Some people have even had this error thrown when their Ford Mondeo TDCi had INJECTOR troubles!

The short answer is: yes, you could be dealing with something in the turbo system failing, and you could also be dealing with having your injector timing reset.

No, the Ford dealer probably isn't trying to cheat you. Why would they have to? The repairs on a Ford Mondeo TDCi are outrageous anyway, and with the track record the Mondeo is developing, they know they are going to be seeing a lot of you now that your TDCi is past 100k.

What IS probably happening at the dealer is this: They are hooking up the diagnostic computer and it is throwing: P2263 - "Unspecified turbo boost pressure problem, mechanical" back at them.

They have no reason to doubt the computer, until after they have changed your turbo and the problem remains. (If that should happen.)

You didn't specify the year of your Ford Mondeo, or the diagnostic code so I can't reference much in the way of specifics.

There are some things you should read:

http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=61256

http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?t=59500

... Out of those, the best advice is to have someone else look at your Ford. Make sure that wherever you take it, you get the diagnostic code it produces and write it down.

Most people I could find, who describe the symptoms your Ford Mondeo TDCi, end up not needing a turbo replacement. You could be the unlucky one, but more than likely not.

Would you mind leaving feedback when your Mondeo is fixed, so I will know what error code you were having, and what was done to fix it?

Here is some nice reference material and a list of the problems the cars face:

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007)

http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=119&

Looks like the Mondeo II and IV are well loved, but the Mondeo III is a nightmare (in certain years and equippings)

I hope all goes well.

DN.

P.S. If a second opinion agrees the turbo needs to be changed, then make haste to do it before catastrophic failure happens. Better the turbo that the turbo, engine and exhaust system, right?

WELL I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION AS THIS PEERSON.

"i'm really getting into photography and stuff
i need a new good camera thats under like 300 bucks preferably
it has to zoom pretty far, and i'd really like the color accent feature
and does anyone know how i can get like underwater cases?
any cool features would be cool too"

but i dont care about the underwater..
i need at LEAST 10 megapixels, 9 is okay.

i love photography.
where can i get that good camera.

ps. PLEASE GO BACK AND READ INSIDE THE QUOTES. (link)
Please ask your own question.

So I'm ten and half weeks pregnant, and i feel like my entire body is filled up with air. I know this sounds gross...but all i can do is burp and well u kno. It gives me some relief, but then right after I burp I feel like it fills right back up with gas, which leaves me feeling extremely uncomfortable. The constant nausea is bad enough without this constant gas pain.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do or what can help with both my extreme nausea and gassiness??

I'm desperate! (link)
As always, check with your doctor before taking anything, but Gas-X is pretty harmless stuff from what is written on the box.

When you have gas pain you think you could die from, Gas-x is your best buddy. Been there, though not for the same reasons. ;-)

Pick up a big box, I suggest the mint creme ones, and enjoy the lack of pain.

Finding the cause, of course, is still the thing to do, but in the mean time you will not be in such discomfort.

i was just searching for apartments to rent in new york, and i came across this one:
http://www.apartments.com/summarybz.aspx?page=summarybz&property=249170.1&area2=y&state=ny&rgn1=78&subarea1=y&subarea2=y&subarea6=y&subarea3=y&subarea14=y&subarea7=y&subarea8=y&subarea15=y&subarea9=y&subarea11=y&subarea12=y&rent_minimum=0&rent_maximum=1500&mode=6144&srt1=0.44&srt2=0.44&srt3=0.44&prvpg=1067

why is it only $350 a month when the apartment itself looks stunning? is there something wrong with it, or is there something that they dont tell you? (link)
Hi there,

This is listed as corporate occupancy and such, with weekly maid service. Odds are this is either the weekly, or daily price for a short term corporate lease in NYC.

As mentioned, calling the number is your best bet.
