I've plugged the USB cable to my phone and to my computer, but I can't seem to get Samsung PC Studio to work on my Samsung Behold! I don't know what's wrong. When I got my phone, there wasn't an installation CD that came with it. Whenever I use the USB cable with my phone and my computer, it just says it couldn't find some kind of samsung drive device or something? I'm not sure. I tried one of the solutions but that didn't work either. I downloaded the Samsung PC Studio from Samsung's website, but that didn't work either. The program just won't recognize my phone, because it won't connect to it. Or it's my computer that doesn't recognize the drivers? I searched the web and I found these websites:

http://forums.tmonews.com/index.php?topic=5354.20
The only problem is, I don't understand it. o.o I tried all the solutions I could find, but it didn't work. Most likely because I didn't understand what they were talking about. I would really like to put videos and songs and stuff onto my Samsung Behold.... can anyone help me out?! (link)

Hi there,
This is a very, very common problem with Samsung Cellphones.
Have a look here:
The general thinking on this problem appears to be that you can't do anything while the applications in the system tray are running. If you right-click and close those, some people have had success. If that doesn't work for you... well, the rest of the solutions are very technical in nature, and you might want to get together with your phone's provider to see if they can't help you figure this out.
I know you don't want to look stupid with your phone company, which is why you asked here first... but you won't look that way. This software/phone combo is just stupid. You are NOT the only one having trouble getting PC Studio to recognize your phone. If you actually got it to work you would be one of the lucky few.
Quite a number of people just gave up and went to another brand of phone. Samsung really dropped the ball here. :-(
Good luck!

My boyfriend and I are going to San Antonio in a few weeks for his 21st birthday and im looking for some ideas on what to do. We are staying at Hotel Valencia on the riverwalk and are going to six flags down there as well. Has anybody else been there and recommend us going to see/do anything special? I just need some more ideas on fun things to do!
Thanks! (link)

Hi there,
If you are lucky enough to be travelling to San Antonio and staying ON the San Antonio riverwalk, you have your choice of things to do.
Before I get into the San Antonio Riverwalk itself, I would like to say that I would see the San Antonio Zoo, while I was there. If you like going to the zoo where you live, and you haven't been to the San Antonio Zoo, you really should go. Sorry, but if I didn't get that in there now, I would forget about it later.
Around the riverwalk itself people have a tendancy to miss the really cool things. Example: You can go to Six Flags parks in dozens of places, right? Where else can you see the Natural Bridge Caverns? If you don't know about this, it is one of those things you should see. Have a look at the Natural Bridge Caverns website:
http://www.naturalbridgecaverns.com/
... See what I mean? Who knew there was something like this in San Antonio Texas?
Ok, for some more things to do in San Antonio, TX:
There is a short cruise and tour of the riverwalk by boat. (Rio San Antonio Cruises) They also offer dinner cruises if you like that sort of thing.
They have a full blown water park called: "Splashtown" if you two want to get into the fray there.
I second the vote for visiting the Tower of the Americas, and I would like to add that there is also the Chart House Restaurant up top. If you have never had the 360 degree dining experience... this might be something you will want to make time for.
If you need to shop, there is a mall there, I think it is called Rivercenter Mall, but there is only one on the riverwalk, so it will be har to miss.
If you are art fans, you have The Briscoe Western Art Museum right there at hand.
Oh, and there is a place there that gives helicopter tours of the area: Alamo Helicopter Tours. I don't know about that. If you have never been on a helicopter tour, it is another thing I suggest you experience at least once... but if I was only going to do it once, it would be the Grand Canyon. :-)
There are also The Botanical Gardens and Mission Espada, if you would like something a little lower tech on your list of things to do in San Antonio.
If you like Jazz, then The Jim Cullum Jazz Band can be found at Jim Cullum's landing. You are going to want a reservation here... so call 210-223-7266 after 3pm central. Why is this special? Well, everyone who you would have liked to hear play in person has played the joint throughout history, you know? That, and if you know Jazz at all, you have heard a reference to "riverwalk jazz" ... well this is it! :-)
You ARE going to The Alamo, right? Going to San Antonio without touring The Alamo is like going to Six Flags and not riding the rides... You just don't do it.
Beofore I forget: If you are going to the missions in and around San Antonio, you are going to want to check park hours and info to help you plan your visit. This, you can do at the national park website for the San Antonio Missions:
http://www.nps.gov/saan/
... which will give you just about everything you could want.
If the foot hike through all of this history isn't your style, did you know you can tour all this on a Segway scooter? How cool is that? I am not sure about the missions area but the city and riverwalk can certainly be done via Segway.
Speaking of getting around... did you know there is a river taxi? You can buy a pass for a full day or week-end, or just a one way trip to try it out. If you like the river, you will love the idea of being to get around on it as much as you like.
If you find yourself downtown San Antonio, you have a Streetcar system to help you get where you need to go.
Here is some more info on the river taxi for the San Antonio River:
http://www.riosanantonio.com/content/publish/riotrans.shtml
... as you can see, staying ON the riverwalk makes NOT using the river taxi look kinda silly, eh? :-)
There is also a special tour bus the city runs that runs between a bunch of the sites to see, but not all. Here is a partial list:
River Walk Streetcar Station, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, Japanese Tea Garden, Brackenridge Park , San Antonio Zoo, Trinity University, University of the Incarnate Word, Witte Museum and San Antonio Botanical Garden.
You can see quite a few of the things I have mentioned by using that bus tour.
I forgot to mention earlier that in addition to helicopter tours, you can also see San Antonio and the surrounding countryside by hot-air balloon ride.
For something a little more "down to Earth" but just as romantic, there are a couple companies that offer horse drawn carriage rides throughout San Antonio. Perhaps a little 21st birthday romance? :-)
If I keep thinking of things to add... this may never end! While you are at the zoo, ride the train, yes really... they have a cool mini-train called: "The San Antonio Zoo Eagle" which takes you all around the zoo. It isn't a kiddy train that goes in a little loop, this is a very serious rail operation... just shrunk down in the wash, so to speak.
If you need a laugh, there is the Rivercenter Comedy Club, which, unless it has moved, is at Rivercenter Mall.
You know, I know he is going to be 21, and all, and it seems like very few people escape this without a drinking experience. Let me say this: I suggest that you guys make the best use of your time in San Antonio, now that you know there are a ridiculous number of things to do and see... and the best use of your time is NOT nursing a hangover. All this having been said, if you just have to do the whole 21 and go drinking thing... at least make it an event. Don't go to a bar, go to Dick's Last Resort.
It used to be if you showed up in a neck tie, they would grab som shears and cut it in half. The whole thing is a living comedy act where all the waitstaff are trying to be, well, Dicks (not e the capital D.) It is just something different, and might salvage what is otherwise a pretty poor excuse for a right of passage. Just my opinion.
Ok, so... what can you do in San Antonio, TX? A mind bending array of things. I didn't really even get started, so if you have any questions about different KINDS of things to do, feel free to ask.
Have a wonderful time in San Antonio.

i have a mac. so my internet is safari. and when i try to listen to music on myspace it says i need to install adobe flashplayer onto my computer. but whenever i try to download it, it "fails" and wont install or anything. help? (link)
|
Hi there,
Sometimes installing Adobe Flash Player on a Mac can be a problem. Usually the installation problems begin when the Adobe Flash Player website sends you to the wrong installer. :-(
Obviously the Apple Macintosh isn't going to like installing the Microsoft Windows version of the Flash player, but the webiste sometimes seems to send you there anyway.
Here is where you should go to download/install the Apple Mac version of the Adobe Flash Player:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
... you will clearly see the Mac version listed. It works for the following:
Mac OS X with any of the following web browsers:
Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Opera.
If it will not let you install from here, then there is a more serious problem. This is where the Mac's simplicity causes problems: When things go badly, it is usually harder to fix, at least in my experience with Apple Macintosh over the years.
Thanksfully, Adobe made a tool to help you fix a corrupt installation: A full uninstaller! This will rip out all traces (it is supposed to anyway) of the Abobe Flaxh Player from Mac OSX.
You can find that on the same page, right under the Mac OSX installer.
Happy Mac'ing!
EDIT as per your feedback: You will have to contact support. These are all the steps that should work. If you completed them all, and it still doesn't work... something is very wrong. You might also try installing a better browser, such as FireFox or Opera and see if you still have problems.

I have two phone lines, One being Magic Jack.
Do I need to have the magic plugged in to recieve voicemail or can I set up voice mail on Magic Jack and still recieve messages while I have my other phone in?
Thanks! (link)
|
Hi there,
You should be able to receive voicemails on your MagicJack number even if the MagicJack itself is off-line.
Your new MagicJack has NOTHING to do with your regular phone line, so it doesn't have anything to do with your other line or that line's ability to do anything it wants, like getting messages all to itself. :-)
Also, you don't unplug your regular phone to use MagicJack, I thought from the way you asked this("...while I have my other phone in") you might not know about this yet, but it plugs into your computer's USB port, then you plug a regular telephone into the jack on the little MagicJack box that is now hanging off your computer's USB port.
Happy MagicJacking!

Why on earth can't I figure out how to make ctrl+b bold things on Firefox? I've looked everywhere online but can't find anything about how to get it to work. Is this a problem for anyone else? Anyone got a solution, by chance? (link)
|
Hi,
crtl+b is the key you press in firefox to open your bookmarks list. Always has been, I am afraid.
If you are looking for an editor, have a look at Mozilla Seamonkey, which has a decent web page editor.
There might be some sites out there that have coding that will let you use ctrl-b to bold something, but it isn't a function of the browser.
Happy bolding!

My boyfriend and I always use protection unless I'm on my period. Is it possible for me to get pregnant if I keep doing this? (link)

Yes, it is possible for you to get pregnant while on your period.
It is also more likely for you to get STDs this way.

Can fresh flowers be dyed in 6 hours? (link)
|
Hello there,
It would depend on how you were trying to dye the flowers and what kind of flower you started with. If you are using a spray on flower dye, then yes, of course, you can dye them in six hours. If you are doing it by feeding the plant harsh colors, it takes several days to dye your flowers the color you want.
Here is an article about dying flowers:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/21566/how_to_dye_fresh_flowers.html
... which should tell you everything else you might need to know. If not, your local florist or nursery may be able to help you further.
Happy flower dying!

Hey theymos it's me! I was wondering what you think about this site? I am interested in it. i am selling a computer it has the moniter,desktop,mouse,2 speakers, and keyboard
it all adds to around 57 lbs
what is the cheapest shipping fee
and what company is it
-also if i use a shipping calculator is it accurate
-people who have sold computers on ebay or know how~can u ship them in one box or does it have to be a box for the monitor and another box for the desktop (link)
|
Hi there,
In order to hahve everything arrive undamaged, you should ship the tower in one box, the monitor in another, and the accessories in a third. If you have good packing skills or are having a pro do it, you can put the accessories in with the tower.
I like both FedEx and UPS for shipping computers like this, and STRONGLY suggest you avoid the USPS when shipping complete computers.
FedEx has a much better track record with me personally. When I would order computer cases for my shop, the FedEx ones ALWAYS arrived intact and the UPS ones were at least damages 1 in 10 times, usually more often than that.
If you have a Kinko's/fedex shipping center near you, they can professionally package it for you, but get a quote to the zone furthest from you in the USA and go with that for an estimate in your auction. You can always refund if it is less.
The on-ling shipping calculators are accurate for the most part. But you have to package the thing first and have exact measurements and weights or you are just ruining any chance of accuracy when you ship your computer system.
Pack well, or get it done for you.
If there is a craig's list for your area, you could avoid all this by selling locally.
Happy computer shipping!
P.S. Don't be shocked at the price when you get a quote from a pro shipping place... that is just what it costs to ship a computer. :-(

I'm not even sure if I'm missing something here:
Question: "is it ok to masturbate if ur pregnant?"
Answer: "dottie4 answered Saturday June 27 2009, 6:26 pm:

...what, dottie4? I was going to report it and then I thought...maybe I was missing something? (link)

hey i have a pimple on the edge of my mouth left side if your me and its right like on the corner and its almost like a cold sore. idk its either one but if it doesnt turn into a white head to pop to get rid of the pain what do i do? i need it gone by tomorrow around 6 pm.
thanks (link)
|
Hi there,
If there is even the slightest chance that this is a cold sore (which is a form of herpes) then you must LEAVE IT BE. If you scratch, pop or otherwise mess with it you can spread it to the rest of your face, among other places.
If you aren't sure, leave it be.
|
I saw Cux's post on the moderator board about ranking questions and it stating that the question had already been ranked. Thought I'd let you know mine's doing the same thing. I use Firefox if that has anything to do with it. It's not really an issue of sorts, but I noticed it's not just me.
Also, I don't know the whole story but I hear you had something to do with the free paid accounts. After getting that e-mail, I'm back again. I'm at the top of your favorite columnist list (yeah I know, it just goes by most recent activity,) I'm a level 1 mod again, and I'm currently the featured columnist. I don't know if I should thank you or punch you in the face for the time I'm spending here. Only time will tell! (link)
|
I See... Well, with that in mind I will keep an eye on the ranking script and see if there is some reason for it.
That is a script that hasn't been changed in a good long while, so I am at a loss as to what it might be if you have already turned off the browser preload in firefox. If you haven't, then that is what is happening. The browser pre-loads all the pages linked from the current page. This means it ranks it as 1 2 and 3, charming, no?
As for the punch in the face... What can I say? I will fill everyone in and then you can decide.
I can say that what I have seen from you so far is letting me know that it was wise.
Take care, and above all... Welcome back!

is it dangerous for me to put crushed up benedryll or sleeping pills in someones drink if i just want them to be knocked out cold for the nightt? if so is there some other way i can do this without them knowing? i know this sounds bad but i need to sneak out and do this super romantic thing for this guy and i'm tryin not to get caught and my dad is a light sleeper. he's in good health and everything (link)
|
Since nobody yet mentioned this: You could be committing murder.
Are you wanting to murder your dad? I hope not.
Your dad would figure it out, by the way. And if that happened to me, my child would be brought up on charges and removed from my home. Think about it: IF they will possibly murder their own dad for a one night thing with a boy, they would kill anyone without a thought. That would lead me to believe my child was a sociopath, and I would be smart enough to know that keeping you locked away from the general public was the safest thing.
It really is that bad.
This is an incredibly bad idea. I pray that you understand this before you do anything you can't take back.
You may ask directly, if you have any other questions on this.

i have an unlocked iphone
i need edge so when i call up tmobile do i tell them i have an iphone?
if not- what do i say i have so i can get Edge?
also i do not get service anywhere (link)
|
Hi there,
If you don't get service (signal) anywhere, you can't use the iPhone at all in any way.
If you meant something else, I think I can help:
Yes, you would talk to them about your iPhone.
Now, the proceedure is fairly technical, so if you don't feel that all of the people you know call you "That phone geek with the unlocked iPhone" behind your back, you might want to turn back now. :-)
First:
You don't need an unlocked iPhone. You need an unlocked iPhone that is also "jailbroken." If you don't know what that means, you are in for a rough ride on this project. Jailbreaking an iPhone involves changing the software/firmware of the phone so that you can run completely unauthorized apps and new versions of the iPhone software that Apple does not want you running on your phone.
So if your iPhone has made the jail break train, and escaped from the land of things that all belong to Apple, then you are good to go.
Now the reading list: First, read this:
How to get T-Mobile Edge to work on an unlocked iPhone:
"T Mobile Edge Settings Available Now - 100 % Working:"
http://www.modmyi.com/forums/t-mobile/5659-t-mobile-edge-settings-available-now-100-workin.html
... which means reading all 11 pages (and counting) most likely. I would read it all before I started.
Then, read this:
http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4950&postcount=9
... which has some bugs one guy caught in the process described elsewhere.
If that leaves you with any unanswered questions, then you can also read the other posts here this:
"t-mobile edge setup instructions for an unlocked iPhone:"
http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1098&highlight=t-mobile+setup
When you are all done reading you should have complete instructions to get your iPhone configured to use Edge.
If you have any further questions, please leave me a very detailed message with any error messages you get after having tried EVERYTHING to get T-mobile's Edge working on your Apple iPhone.
Happy Edgeness!

will pqi turbo ddr400 pc-3200 sdram memory cards work with this motherboard? if anyone knows please let me know..thanks (link)
|
Bad news: There is no such motherboard.
Good News: What you are taking to be a "1" is actually an "I."
That most likely makes it the:
Asus A8N-LA/Nagami2L-GL8
... or:
ASUS A8N-LA (NAGAMI 2L-GL8E.)
This is a motherboard used in many HP (Hewlett Packard) and Compaq computers.
Now the memory you are asking about is the right speed and the right style to be used in your machine, but the build of the modules could be problematic. The number of chips on each module (high density or low density) can have an impact on compatibility.
If you want guaranteed memory compatibility you should buy from a trusted source. I picked a random Compaq system that uses your Asus A8N-LA/Nagami2L-GL8e motherboard:
Compaq Presario Media Center SR1910NX:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00680695&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&tool=prodinfoCategory&query=sr1910nx&product=3184155&dest_page=prodinfoCategory#
... and went to Crucial.com to find memory for you:
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Presario%20Media%20Center%20SR1910NX
... you can just enter your computer's model number into the selector there, if you want to verify that the following memory specs for your system are correct:
Speed supported: (DDR400/DDR-400) PC-3200 MB/sec
Type 184 pin, DDR SDRAM
Whenever you have a board that was built for a big name system builder, such as HP or Compaq, your odds of finding anything about it on the motherboard maker's website aren't very good.
Lucky for you I was familiar with this issue, or the AsusTek Nagam 12L 2.00 Motherboard might have remained a mystery forever. ;-)
Enjoy your increased memory.
P.S. The Asus A8N-LA/Nagami2L-GL8e has a max capacity of 4GB of ram. If you are running a 32 bit Windows operating system you can only "see" or use 3 Gigs. The best setup would be 2 matching 1Gig modules and two matching 512MB modules. If you keep all modules in mathed pairs you can enable "Dual-Channel" mode. This will improve your system performance. Just a note.
