Samsung Behold! PC Studio Connection Problem with USB cable.
Question Posted Friday July 17 2009, 10:27 pm
I've plugged the USB cable to my phone and to my computer, but I can't seem to get Samsung PC Studio to work on my Samsung Behold! I don't know what's wrong. When I got my phone, there wasn't an installation CD that came with it. Whenever I use the USB cable with my phone and my computer, it just says it couldn't find some kind of samsung drive device or something? I'm not sure. I tried one of the solutions but that didn't work either. I downloaded the Samsung PC Studio from Samsung's website, but that didn't work either. The program just won't recognize my phone, because it won't connect to it. Or it's my computer that doesn't recognize the drivers? I searched the web and I found these websites:
The only problem is, I don't understand it. o.o I tried all the solutions I could find, but it didn't work. Most likely because I didn't understand what they were talking about. I would really like to put videos and songs and stuff onto my Samsung Behold.... can anyone help me out?!
This is a very, very common problem with Samsung Cellphones.
Have a look here:
The general thinking on this problem appears to be that you can't do anything while the applications in the system tray are running. If you right-click and close those, some people have had success. If that doesn't work for you... well, the rest of the solutions are very technical in nature, and you might want to get together with your phone's provider to see if they can't help you figure this out.
I know you don't want to look stupid with your phone company, which is why you asked here first... but you won't look that way. This software/phone combo is just stupid. You are NOT the only one having trouble getting PC Studio to recognize your phone. If you actually got it to work you would be one of the lucky few.
Quite a number of people just gave up and went to another brand of phone. Samsung really dropped the ball here. :-(
