ok well i wore my ring to sleep last night i usually don't but i kinda forgot to take it off and today just a few min ago my thumb here the ring is on my finger is like a greenish black. Why? Is this good or bad? What shoud i do?

Im asking for Dance Dance Revolution for PS2 for christmas. There are a few different versions such as extreme and Max and Kareoke. I know I dont want Kareoke, but Idk about extreme and max. What is the difference between them? Which is better?

okay. i really need my braces off. like i got them in 6th grade. and im now a freshman! i dont wear my elastics, and if i wear them they'll come off. and to those that have already had elastics and braces, approx. how long will it take for my teeth to not have an over bite anymore? i really need my braces off!!!!

You NEED to wear the elastics. Even if they come off, put them back on. If its a real problem, ask your orthodontist what else you can do. Until then, just wear them. Your orthodontist may decide that nightgear is right for you. (Thats what I had, its like...headgear, but you only wear it at night so it doesn't suck TOO terribly bad)

I am thinking about learning to play the guitar, electric and acustic. My school social worker showed me one in the form of an acustic, but I would like to know where I can find one that is inexpensive and is in the shape of an electric?{the triangle that looks like it has a triangle taken out of it}

The guitar that you're trying to describe is called a Flying V. I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you're trying to say..but if you're saying that you want an Acoustic guitar thats shaped like a Flying V. If thats what you're looking for, sorry, they don't make those.

Austin (austingtrs.com) makes pretty reliable guitars, that are good for beginners because they are cheap, but you can still have decent quality.

I suggest you learn to read tablature. (I can explain it if you like, or the website has a good tutorial) Taborama.com has pretty good tabs, for Guitar, Bass, Drums, and Keyboards, and also lyrics.

We have semester finals,in about 4 weeks.
And we have to play,a song so any ideas?

If played correctly, "Swing Life Away" by Rise Against sounds very nice (and is meant to be played acousticly) You CAN learn it in four weeks, easy. But you will need to practice often to get it down and make the sound smooth like its supposed to be.

A classic one that probably half your class will play is "Good Riddance" by Green Day. Its easy-peasy. Three different chord progressions - both during strumming and single note picking, they keep in the same order every time. It gets kind of monotonous played without also singing along, so if you don't plan on singing, I don't suggest playing this song.

Anyway, I have a friend that I've known for many years. Her parents are going through a divorce. I know she's hurt, and I want to be there for her, but here's the catch.

I've noticed that we're growing apart. She hasn't talked to me for a long time, except for the few times we've talked on AIM, and I started all of those conversations. She hasn't tried talking to me at all, and we haven't talked about the situation, even though she knows that I know about it (She wasn't the one who told me about it). It's been weeks since I've been aware of this.

At first I wanted to give her time, which I have, since I haven't said anything to her about the situation. Now, I'm fed up.
I'm sick of us not talking. She has made no attempt to talk to me, even casually. Like I said, all AIM conversations were started by me. I want to help her, but I can't if she won't say anything to me about it. I just wouldn't feel right starting up a conversation about it because I'm unsure if she is ready to talk about it.

What also irritates me is the fact that we've been friends for so long, and yet she (like I've said) hasn't tried asking for my advice or anything. I feel like I'm not a good friend; like she doesn't feel that she can open up to me because she's embarrassed (or for whatever reason), even though I don't know if that's the case. What I'm saying is that she should know that she can come to me, talk to me and ask for advice, and not be embarrassed.

It makes me sad that I can't be there for my friend, and that she's not talking to me. What should I do? Please help. Thanks so much!

Since you haven't talked to her in person for a while, I suggest you do this over AIM.

Just IM her and say something like "Hey, I heard your parents are getting divorced. I know we don't really talk much..but I'd like to let you know that I'm here for you if you EVER need anything. Don't be shy or embarrased about it, I've known you for ages, it'll be okay. Anytime, just let me know."

She may not take your invitation for help, which wouldn't surprise me. She will, however, know you're there and if she really needs you she might want to talk. Good luck!

ok I have a problem its not a major problem but still...I have this friend shes like a sister to me i love her to death i mean we grew up together she comes over my house all the time and everything...well she came over all this past weekend and today at school me and her and all of our friends went to eat lunch and when i got through eating my taco she was done eating everything but some grapes so i asked her for one and she gave me a smooshed one but i still ate it and i asked nicely for one more because everytime i have something she wantz i give it to her but she put another smooshed up one on her fork and dropped it in my left over food which was sick so i didnt eat it and i said well that was your fault so please give me one more and she was like NO i dont have anymore and she has like 10 on her plate and then i asked for this other LITTLE one that she had and she didnt answer me or anything and then turned around and ate it and with an attitude was like oh you wanted that didnt you and i was like yea i kinda did and she was like 2 bad so i got up and walked out because i could tell she was mad at me so me and my other friend walked out and she started talkin about me to our other friend and we havent talked or anything i kno shes mad at me but why over a grape thats stupid!! What should i do?

Kay, this is kinda dumb. On both parts. You shouldn't get mad if your friend won't share a GRAPE with you. Your friend shouldn't have given you the shitty ones if she was gonna give you some at all. Apologize to your friend for being dumb, and say I hope you're not mad at me, and everything should work just dandy.

My puppies (two small breed, one male one female) are so newspaper-trained that they won't go outside! Every time we come in from a walk they go straight to the newspaper and do their business. What should I do?

Move the newspapers outside, and frequently take them out there and set them on the newspaper. After they have done their business on the newspaper (if possible) put the waste on the grass while they watch. After a while, they will catch the scent of their own pee in the grass and they will just go where they last did. After they go in the yard, give them a treat.

My homecoming dance is on Saturday and my dress is black, just plain black with like a ruffle around the waist. I want to add more color to my dress so i was thinking of buying a ribbon to tie on my dress or something. Does anyone have any good ideas what color ribbon i should get to match my black dress? As dumb as this may sound, I didn't actually realize how horrible it is, when you eat chicken & hamburgers. I didn't actually understand the concept that for me to eat a hamburger, is for an innocent cow to just die. My friend sent me an e-mail with a video about fur trade in China, and how dogs & cats are skinned and killed everyday just for fur. But, it got me to thinking how horrible that actually is. I really have been thinking about it today, and I think just eating hamburgers & chicken is disgusting especially knowing that an animal died for that. I'm really considering turning into a vegetarian. Do you believe that this is a good enough reason to want to turn vegetarian? Thanks so much. ♥

My personal reason for being vegetarian is this.

I've heard people say "God (or whatever creation theroy you believe) put animals on the earth for other animals to eat (meaning humans)." Sure, I'll take it, but here's my problem. Animals were NOT put on the earth to be treated cruelly. Cows (beef) yeah sure I'd eat 'em if they were allowed to always roam where they like - and when they die of natural causes and the meat's still good, wonderful. But no. They are kept in stalls to small for the cow to turn around in (for a substantial amount of time - not from birth till death, though) and are not treated like living things. They do feel pain while being slaughtered, even if momentarily. Its not just murder, its being tortured, then murdered after the fact. I'm not going to go into other animals, but you are welcome to read about them here: www.peta2.com however, keep in mind that PETA is an extremest group, and please do not worship their every word. is it bad to put a warm/hot wash cloth over your eyes for like more than 5 minutes? idk why it would be but im just wondering.

If you press too hard, it may make your vision momentarily blurry, but otherwise no. I have been told by a doctor to put hot compresses on my eyes for different problems - so yeah. No problems.

I'm going to a My Chemical Romance concert in a couple days. Can anyone tell me who's been to one of these concerts what happened to them and what to expect? Also, how many songs do they usually play, do they usually have merch. stores and is it easy to work your way to the front of the crowd? Thanks! I'll rate 5s for good answers!

I attended the concert in St. Louis. Reggie and the Full Effect is the first band to play. They're really good - and James Dewees is very good with interacting with the crowd. A nice show, and you start to feel that concert adrenaline going. After about a 20 minute stage clean up and set up, Alkaline Trio plays. It gets a bit monotonous, so unless the place where you're standing is ABSOLUTELY amazing - if Reggie and the Full Effect are doing a meet-n-greet I suggest you go. Reggie's set was about a half hour, Alk3's set was about 45 minutes. After ANOTHER wait of clean up and set up...about 30 minutes, MCR plays. (No they don't open with Helena) thank god. As well as I remember they played all of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (minus maybe one or two songs) and Demoliton Lovers and Vampires will Never Hurt you off I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. They also play a new song off their upcoming album. At one point they say they're done - then they come back out after about five minutes and play for another 15 minutes or so. They've got TONS of merch - for all three bands and I strongly suggest you do not wait till the end of the concert to buy anything, it will take ages - ESPECIALLY for MCR merch. It wasn't easy at all to work your way to the front of the crowd at The Pageant - but it would be hard to tell at a diffrent venue/group of people. Don't count on it, though.

Hey my hair right now is black with brown streaks i want to change the black to blonde and the streaks to streaks of light brown, white blonde, and blonde.

Personally, I wouldn't do that. Its too much stress on your hair to dye something so dark as black to blonde without full on bleaching it. You'd have to dye all of your hair, then do the diffrent streaking you want.

If you're really just dying (no pun intended) to dye your hair, then do it slowly. Maybe go blonde, and leave it for a while. Then after a couple months (yes, months, hairdye is very hard on your hair) put in the streaking.

That being said, if your hair is naturally dark like black or brown - I do not suggest dyeing your hair blonde. It will grow out, you'll get nasty roots and a lifetime of annoying touch up work.

A lot of my friends are very religious, and thus have many different beliefs (religiously, politically, and otherwise) than I do. Lets just say I cried on November 3rd last year (the day after), and they pretty much jumped for joy. Sometimes when I make a comment about issues that are happening in the world they look at me oddly, like I'm a complete idiot or something. They enjoy listening to Ashlee Simpson and the like while I listen to classic rock from the 60's and 70's. In the past this hasn't bothered me much, but lately its been nagging at me a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love my friends to bits, they're the nicest people and so fun to be around, but is it possible to love them as people and completely disregard how different their mentality is from you? Do your beliefs and interests dictate who you are as a person?

Its still very very possible to remain friends with these people. Sure, some of it sucks because you can't really discuss politics or religion without someone chiming in something about "you must belive what I do" but if for the most part, you're still having fun with those people, stay friends!

You don't have to disregard how different their mentality is from yours. Its actually a good thing at times, because you get to see many different points of view and maybe you find one that makes perfect sense to you.

Personally, I'll hang out with people of all diffrent religions, political groups, and otherwise. So long as people aren't trying to change ME and try to change what I belive, its all good with me.

ok so i went to a My Chemical Romance concert yesterday and got this hoodie that says "REVENGE" on the front and on the back has an army helmet on top of a rifle then it says My Chemical Romance... you can't really make out that it's a rifle... but still, so for an 8th grader do you think i could wear it to school? we have a new principal and theres been girls wearing spagetti straps and shirts with guns on them and those shirts that say I've go snow man or w/e...

Its okay at my school(I bought the hoodie at the concert as well), and we have a pretty strict dress code. I would wear it, make sure to wear a shirt that you CAN wear to school underneath and just don't mention it. If they make you change, then you know.
