I have Bipolar 1 Disorder. I hate taking all these medications and always going to doctors appointments, but life is too short to let mental illness get the better of me.


Often times life is a challenge, and nobody knows that better than me. I wake up wondering if this is going to be a day my illness overpowers my meds, and either sends me flying like a bat out of hell, or leaves me laying on the couch like a wet dish rag.


Thank all that is good in the world that I have an excellent support system at home.

ok so i met this guy online and we got on really well so we decided to meet up. we had been alkin about a year and we met up 3 months ago. problem is, when we met i was just not attracted to him. we are still really good friends and we have spoken every day since we met up and i meet up with him every weekend.

i have really strong feelings for him and i think i might be in love with him...but again, im not attracted to him at all.
is that possible?

He said to me tonight that he thinks we should cool it for a while and not talk because he's afraid that he might like me more down the line, which would do neither of us any good because it isnt gonna go anywhere. i dont know if he was just saying that to see what id say or if he actually meant it.

i dont wanna lose him but i dont think i will be able to not talk to him whenever i want to. i know that he has strong feelings for me too but i think that he IS attracted to me!

what do i do???

Of course it is possible. This is what I think about it: Who a person is on the inside is their most attractive, or unattractive, feature. The more you find a person attractive on the inside, the less you see their flaws on the outside.

If you really love this guy, and he feels the same, don't let him go like that. It doesn't really matter if he was saying that to test you. Chances are, he wasn't.
Guys aren't as complex and apt to beat around the bush like we of the female variety. He was most likely telling you how he feels.

If you don't want to stop talking to him, tell him so. Tell him why. If you really love this guy, you should feel comfortable discussing the issue of whether or not taking a break from talking to one another is for the best.

Ok well in Religion we have to make a very realistic looking birth Certificate for JESUS!

And I never saw one before or even mine by any chance. i just know that they have the baby's foot prints.

Can someone help me with that?

And can you only get a certificate if you were born in the hospital?

We recently adopted a cat from someone who needed to find a good home for him. He is approximately 4 months old. We do not have much money to take our new pet to the vet for problems he is having: diarrhea, defecating on carpet and has sneezing and running nose. His appetite is good and he drinks well. He will use the litter some of the time but also goes on the carpet in hide away places. He is alert and does not act like he is really ill. My question is "How and what can I do to handle these issues myself like is there any medication I can get ? Going to the vet is so costly and sometimes there are things that we can do to help. If anyone has any suggestions please tell me.

Like YG said, milk causes cats to have diarrhea. They are lactose intolerant, contrary to popular belief.
Also, if you feed him tuna from the can, make sure it is tuna in water, and not in oil. Oil also causes them to have diarrhea.

As for the sneezing and running nose, I'm not sure. There could be something in the home causing him an allergy, but that is only a guess, other than maybe he has a cold. If THAT doesn't get better, you should take him to the vet.

But if he is acting like he isn't sick, then I would notice where he is and what he is around when he seems to sneeze and run at the nose the most.
For example, if you notice it more after he digs in his litter, then change to a different litter brand. It could have dust particles aggravating his nose.

Ever since Thanksgiving, when I visited relatives in a cold/windy climate, my lips have been very chapped- especially after I returned home. Now, it looks like it's in the healing process, but my lips are extremely dry/flaky. I tried using cocoa butter, which works for a while...and I've tried vasaline, which also works, but when i wake up, my lips are still dry and flaky. Is there anything else I could do to make my chapped lips better... something that'll actually take care of it? There's lots of dry skin, I think mainly since it's beginning to heal, but it's taking forever to get better.

I get the same problem every year. The only thing I have found to heal my dry/chapped lips is Blistex.

I'm 20/F.

This summer while I was working across the country from home, I became friends with a wonderful 68 year old man. He's kind of like the grandfather I never had. Of course, I'd like to keep in contact, but he doesn't use e-mail. So, I'm sending him a Christmas card.

Here's the problem: being newly introduced into adulthood, I've never sent a card in which I actually included an update on my life.

What sort of things do you write about in a Christmas card update? I'm already planning to mention my engagement, but other than that and school...

Well, an engagement is a big thing, have you told him about who you are engaged to? I'm sure he would be interested to know. That and school.

Tell him what has gone on in your life since you saw him last, tell him how you feel about him.
He is the grandfather you never had- that would make him feel good to know, and also what it is about him that makes you feel that way about him.
Even if you have already told him, it's always nice to hear again how much you impacted someone's life in a positive way.

Tell him about your family, how they are doing, and what you plan to do for Christmas.

Of course ask him how he is doing, what has happened since you saw him last, how his family is doing, and what he plans to do for Christmas.
Once you start writing it out, you will think of many things that you want to say to him.

I want to go to university in the states, I live in europe. I found a school and it seemed perfect for me. It was my 1st choice of colleges! I got all exited and dove right in the application process. Now I have all the papers and i can send it...however, I'm not sure anymore. My friend gave me this website, www.studentsreview.com and there students give their honest opinions on their college or university. So I checked my school out that I was appliying for and people said it sucked! It was a shock, it seemed like such a great school. There where a few possitive reviews but the majority was negative... Should i still apply or should i take the reviews to consideration....???!?!?

Well, the people who give the honest truth about the quality of a school, it's teachers, and it's education are the students who go there.

There is no harm in shopping around for a university. If you are having second thoughts about what this school actually has to offer you, check out reviews on other schools to see if you can find one more suitable for your educational needs.

Honestly? Why should you feel you have to be so polite? Just remove her, and if she says something, be honest and tell her why.

I've always wanted to be a doctor since I ws a little girl,at first for..girly reasons but then it got more serious as soon as I grew up.

I got A's in math every year and this year is my first year of high school and of course I'm on Academic Math but ti's been really hard for me and it takes me 2-5 hours to do my hoemwokr every day, not including my other wokr form different classes.

My counciler told me that..maybe I need to do something 'different' because it's nto normal to be doing your homework for 5 hours a day and it's only going to get harder in grade 10 and longer at the rate I'm going.

My dad is for sure nto letting me move down a level to Appplied and I want to go to Applied but yet I dont' want to!

I really want to work in the medical field and my dad says that I HAVE to go to university, not college but university, no excuse. And that means I really need to stay on top of this levle of math! I have a 70% average so far but I know it's going down right now which isn't good.

My dad is thinking of getting me a tutor but I don't want one because Kumon and Sylvin, etc are really expensive for like an hour so I think it's a big riff off if I don't get what I'm doign and they still get paid.

and I can't get peer tutoring from my school because well..I don't know I'm really shy against peope I don't know. it's hard to make friends even though i have a lot and I kind of have all these crazy side affects so i woouldn't be able to focus.

Please help, I'm so depressed about this issue.

Everyone needs help now and then- a tutor wouldn't be a bad idea to help you get back on top of things. Also, through tutoring, you can get a better understanding of your studies and probably spend less time trying to do your homework every day.

Listen- a peer tutor is a good idea. Yah, they would be a stranger, but so would the people at Sylvan. They won't be a stranger for long. You just have to focus on the importance of improving your education, not the fact that your are being taught by someone you don't know.

You could also consider asking your math teacher if they are willing to give you after school tutoring.

I've had a friend for about 3 going on 4 years,
we've never been anything more than friends but I liked him and he liked me at a time too.
We lost our virgnity to eachother once and got into this fight and didnt talk to much for a few monthes.
We made up and became friends again[i never stopped liking him]
He acted like he liked me ,but we still didnt go out.
Since about June,we've both been sexually active without ONLY eachother
but we aren't going out,but at the same time I still like him but i feel like its been way to long to tell him ,and he said he used to like me but idk about now.
And i learned about something called oxytocin,or "love glue" and i feel like im really attached to him ,because i havent been able to get over him no matter what,but ive been able to get over other guys i HAVENT had sex with,which i havent had sex with anyone except him ...

I think you should talk to him about your feelings. It has never been too long to tell someone how you feel about them.
I mean, we can go around and around about sounds like he likes you or doesn't, but the only way you will know for certain is to ask him how he feels about you.
You have been friends for a long time, and you are having sex with each other, so there is no reason you shouldn't feel comfortable talking to each other about your thoughts and feelings.

I don't know a camera for you, but I will tell you that when you find one that takes video with sound, you can get a larger memory card for it that takes longer periods of video. The one we got for ours takes an hour of video plus holds 400-some odd pictures.

I'm a freshman in highschool and I've been liking this one guy (whos a junior) for a while now. Well, he found out I liked him, and apparently he likes me to. He texted me and pretty much asked me to go out with him...and my reaction wasn't a normal reacton!!!
I started to feel sick like I was about to throw up and I suddenly just wanted to crawl into a hole. I don't know why i felt this way. But I had no idea what to tell him, because I've never had a guy I actually liked like me back, and I've NEVER been asked out. So I called him, and we had a pretty awkward conversation...i did most of the talking and TRIED to make small talk, but all he said most of the time was "okay...?" and "yeah...?" so it was pretty weird. I ended up telling him I just want to get to know him more.
So the thing is...I'm SO scared now!!! I realized maybe i'm not ready to have a boyfriend or anything...but i hate messing with this nice guys feelings. I'm so stressed...the thought of seeing him tomorrow is already making me feel sick. But I don't know why!!!So i'm wondering if I just need to end this completely, or if I need to give it a chance......?

You could just be feeling this way because you are nervous.
I would say he was weird on the phone is because he probably didn't know what to think about your reaction- because he could probably read your feelings of awkwardness in your voice when you called.
I would say give him a shot. You already told him you wanted to get to know him more, so what is the harm in that? If a relationship doesn't bloom there, then at least you have a chance of making a good friend out of the deal.

Has anyone had jaw surgery? and if they have whats it like??

I don't know if this counts, but my husband had broken his jaw and it had to be wired shut. That is a form of jaw surgery- it has to be done by an oral surgeon.
It was wired shut for several months. He couldn't open his mouth, had to use a water pick to clean his mouth, and had to eat shakes at every meal.
Of course, shakes at every meal sounds pretty good, but after days and weeks of only shakes, you start badly wanting some real food.
The scariest part was that they gave him wire cutters to keep on him at all times. Why? In case he got sick. Got to be able to open your mouth when you get sick.
I know that sounds pretty awful, but what else can you do with a broken jaw? It was worth it to get healed up, that's for sure.
I don't know if this is what you were looking for in an answer, but that's all I know about any sort of jaw surgery.

My school has a Smartfilter DA that blocks certain sights based on games. I have access to a lower administrator account and can access changing the password of a net user administrator. Anyone know how to bypass this filter and play the games I want (I know the sites dont have viruses). Or, anyone know how I can change the password (It comes up "type in new password for user", but I can't type anything in).

hey, i really want to be an advice columnist when im older, but the thing is, i need to do work experience first. the concept itself is okay, its just the fact that the only bit near me that i could go to is a newspaper, and that doesn't appeal to me much.
