Who's better?
Britney or Christina (link)

Here's a more important question: Who cares?
Really, they are both mediocre, with moderate staying power. The only thing keeping their careers alive is the marketing of pop via the sex imagery.
Neither of the two are thought invoking. Neither of them push their craft in new directions. They are neither innovators or leaders. They are pawns of a dying industry.
People like to debate which one has the better voice... personally, I don't care for either. I know many singers who are far and away better tonally and stylistically.

Okay, I have a question now. Here it is:
How can I feel the fire?
(*thinking* If only Gackt were an advicenator!)
(*Sings* I need to feel the fire, fire, fire! To keep me warm, I got to feel the fire!!!)
URQUAT!!!!!! TOG!!!!! Okay, I'm done now. (^_^;) (link)

Have you considered the merits of lobotomy?

Is it possible to become pregnant through oral sex (female giving to male) ? I was wondering since if you ingest semen isn't it possible for it to work through your body?
Also, is it possible to become pregnant if a couple is merely kissing or say fooling around and the male ejaculates into the vaginal area? They are not naked, boxers and shorts on the male and underwear on the female.
This may seem silly but I really need to know since I am having a difficult time finding alternatives to sex since I feel I am not ready for that yet. Advice would be great! (link)

"I was wondering since if you ingest semen isn't it possible for it to work through your body?"
Welcome to the world of enzymes and your GI tract.
No. As has been stated, ingestion will not lead to pregnancy. Sperm die pretty quickly as it is (female sperm can last up to 4 days in-utero, but the male sperm don't last long at all). Your stomach is filled with hydrochloric acid. Think about that for a minute.
As has again been stated by others, indirect contact in the pubic region is not "safe". There ARE reported instances of pregnancy caused by semen (being a liquid) permeating clothing and going right on inside. Note that when both partners are aroused, those regions begin to produce fluids. Those fluids are designed for 2 things: natural lubrication and to act as a travelling medium for sperm to reach the egg.

I'm a guy. I am not "available". Sorry.
|
I have a HUGE crush on this guy at my church, but he HATES my guts. I actually think I love him, but I dont know why. What should I do?
(link)
|
Get over him. You don't love him. Find a dictionary and check out this really groovy word: infatuation.
The end.
|
lol! I was reading your column bio and I noticed you kept saying like.Thats for valley girls nor musicians! Oh well it made me laugh! (link)
|
Umm... I used the word "like" twice. Perhaps I'm a fan of Moon Unit Zappa, the daughter of the late Frank Zappa, who was one hell of a musician, thus the word "like" does indeed relate to musicians, and Moon Unit essentially created the whole valley girl thing back in the very early 80s (I believe, may have been earlier than that).

I wanna be what i feel like being! But if people start rejecting me, my life will be horrible I wanna be a punk is that a bad choice? I already aske dmy mom she seems fine with it. .and well I want that change! but should I not do it, 4 my friends? (link)
|
Ask yourself this: why do you think you need to be "punk"? Are you even aware of what the whole punk movement is about? It isn't a fashion statement. It was a socio-political statement, born out of a movement in the music scene. It was a lifestyle. And it occurred in the late 1970s.
"Change" if you must, but image is bullshit.
|
This doesn't really go with this topic, but I want to be more punkish style, you knwo But I dont wnat a mayjor make over, like go littl eby little, wut should I start to wear, to get everyone to know Im startin 4 a new look and it will be punkish!???!!?!?!?! (link)

Perhaps you should worry about being less superficial?

Which bass do you think would be right for me. .I want something light, something I can handle, I am 4'11 in height and I am younge in starting this. . So I duno help me out here. . !!! (link)
|
Give your height, I'd probably see if you can't get a short-scale bass. The neck is still longer than that of a guitar, but much shorter than a normal bass. Strings for a short-scale bass can be a bitch to find in stores, though. Usually, I have to custom order them - GHS makes the good flat-wound short-scale strings.
"Light" is going to be relative. Most basses are heavy, due to the nature of wood being heavy. Really light instruments are generally made of composite materials, which ups the cost significantly.
You might be able to find used an old Fender MusicMaster bass. They were short-scale, produced in the 1970's when Fender was owned by CBS. They are mostly pretty adequate to poor in quality, but for a learner's instrument, it would be great. In fact, it is what I learned on (later, I converted the bass to a fretless, but that's another story).
I personally HATE the Yamaha electric basses and guitars.
Also, Fender AFFINITY basses are cheap-ass crap made of pressed wood. Dodge them at all costs.

If you were about to be eaten by the Ravenous Bug-Bladder Beast of Trog, what would you do? (link)
|
I shall let you, the reader choose what you might guess to be the most appropriate answer:
a) wet myself
b) wake up and proclaim that I'm never eating right before bed again
c) watch some pr0n
d) giggle like a little school girl
e) tell it to fuck off
|
You'd probly have to explain on the comp though, I'll let you know when i get my bass! (link)
|
What kind of bass do you intend on getting?
Short scale, regular/long scale? 4 string? 5 string? 6 string? J-style? P-style? Passive or active electronics? Round or flat-wound strings? Fretless? How much do you plan on spending on a bass?
Playing bass with a pick is a cardinal sin. I chop people's fingers off for that. Bass players have to start with jazz and walking, four-on-the-floor bass lines. From there, you expand what you know, through the use of theory / chord progressions.
|
U can teach me how to play a bass?!!! (link)
|
Being that I've played bass for 15 years, I'd guess that I probably could.

Dear BrItTaNy,
I read your post and instantly wanted to gouge my eyes out. I listen to a lot of bands every day. Variety = good.
I'll teach you to play bass. My lessons are very affordable. I will make you work your ass off and learn music theory, too.
p.s. - "crazy" is not the term I would use. I shall refrain from saying what I had in mind, though.

I'm just starting out in the guitar world, and I've been doing some research. I've decided that I want a Fender, because they've gotten good reviews and are in my price range (or the ones I've seen, anyway.)My questions consist of:
1. What's a dreadnaught? Is it bigger than a Grand Concert?
2. Are you supposed to use a pick with acoustics?
3. What is the best kind of case?
4. What's a good price (in general) for a Fender?
I think I want the Grand Concert GC-12 Acoustic, but I also might want the DG 245 Dreadnaught Acoustic.
(link)
|
A dreadnaught is smaller than the Grand. A dreadnaught has a wide bottom and narrow middle near the sound hole. Grands are smaller than Jumbos, if that makes any sense.
You can use picks. I personally prefer to finger-pick.
Best cases are hardshell, but they are also more expensive. I use gig bags for most of my electrics. They work fine for what I need. I'd go with a soft-shell case for an acoustic. It'll work nicely, so long as you take are of the instrument as you carry it, and pack it into cars with care.
I'm not overly fond of Fender acoustics. Their low end instruments tend to really suck. Ibanez, Yamaha, Takamine, and Alvarez make wonderful acoustics, and you can easily find low-cost instruments ($100 to $200)

Do you like System Of A Down? I think the guitarist Daron Malakian is the sexiest man alive. What do you think? (link)

repeat the word "mung" over and over and over and over again... don't stop, whatever you do. Stopping is the worst thing you could possibly do.
