so i couple of days ago me and my boyfriend had sex..and the day after i started feeling like i had to pee all the time and its still continuing. and it burns. could this be a bladder infection or something else? if so how can i get rid of it???

That's a urinary tract infection. It's where, well, you didn't wipe thoroughly when using the bathroom. It has no relationship to sex. See your doctor, and he/she will prescribe some medications. Then, go to the pharmacy and get it. That should get rid of it.

13/f, my grandmother used to be okay, never used to get into my way, always feeding us, and helping us. I went to this award banquet, and she didn't like what I was wearing. When she described what I should wear, it was a wedding dress. I explained that for this occasion, you just wear simple things, but she didn't listen. I went the way I looked anyhow. Everyone who passed us, she would say, you see how that person has that... and other what nonsense. She said how my breasts were sticking out. Bra or no bra, of course it would show, I have breasts, wouldn't the shape and size of it show? Now for graduation, she's forcing to dress up in some wedding gown thing. My mom had to tell her no. My grandmother thinks that I'm dressing the wrong way. What's her problem?

I would just pay no attention to her. She doesn't have the authority. Your mom is your sole
guardian; she can tell your grandma that you're not going to wear a wedding gown.

About the breasts. Back in the 20's, girls with completely flat chests and slim, boyish bodies were considered very attractive. Girls had to confine their breasts, so as not to enhance any "sexual parts." That was the culture back then. Ignore her.

Girls had to wear dresses to everything back then. She's old-fashioned, and she can't see that styles have changed. Your mom, fortunately, hasn't sided with your grandmother, and you can wear what you want. No big deal. Just tell your mother not to have your grandmother come along next time you go somewhere.

okay i've been going bikini shopping & i have to try it on every time, soo i leave my underwear on, no problem. is this not safe to do?? i mean you have to try a bikini on before you buy it, but what if someone before you tried it on?? can you get sick from that?? germs?? idk what else.

It's because most have vaginal discharge, you know, a fluid that comes out of your vagina. It's very unsanitary. How would you like to buy a bikini with someone's vagina mucus all over it? That's disgusting.

I've known my bestfriend since 7th grade (we're now both juniors) and we're the closest two friends can get and I love her to death.

Our freshman year, we'd always hear about this girl Meagan and how slutty and bitchy she is. Meagan is a grade ahead of us. Well, 2nd semester of freshman year my bestfriend had a class with her but only for about a week because she got switched out.

Last year, my sophomore year, I was in a class with her for the whole year and at fisrt I didn't like her because of the things I've heard but we started talking and she wasn't that bad. Yeah, some of the rumors were true but she was still a good, fun friend. Now we're really good friends. Not as good as my bestfriend and I, but nevertheless, friends.

So whenever I'm with my bestfriend, and I talk about Meagan, she gives me this disgusted look and talks smack about her. I tell her to shut up and not talk about people she doesn't know and then that's the end of it.

Meagan and I are going to a concert in July and I asked my bestfriend if she wanted to come with us because I know she likes that band. Well, she told me that if Meagan is going, she isn't.

How can I get her to stop being so judgmental and at least try to actually meet her?

I know everyone here has been saying that your best friend needs a bit of shaping up. I say the opposite. I'm sorry if this is insulting to you, but I think YOU'RE not being considerate. Your best friend has every reason to be angry with you. I don't think it's because Meagan has a bad reputation. She thinks that you're replacing her with Meagan. Stop talking about Meagan all the time. This happened to me once. I was in your best friend's situation, and I hated it. Instead of making futile attempts to get Meagan and your best friend chummy together, keep them as separate friends. Don't talk about Meagan when you're with your best friend; don't talk about your best friend when you're with Meagan. If you do so, it will make them feel like you'd rather be with the other. Give your friends the undivided attention they deserve when you're one-on-one with them. Don't bring the best friend to the concert (you've already invited her, but she declined, right?), and spend some quality time with Meagan.

Okay. so my hair is really straight. and when i say straight i mean straight. There is no wave or curl to it whatsoever. My question is how can i make it curly. Do perms turn out okay? i dont want it tightly curled just like loose curls. Help!! Ill rate, i promise. =]

After you get out of the shower, have someone French-braid your wet hair very tightly. Blow-dry or let it air-dry. When you undo the French braid, it will be very wavy.

Or, you can use a curling iron. Get the big one for loose curls. There will be easy instructions on the back.

Since Polish people have all sorts of different looks, so I bet your friend is talking about the steriotypical Pollack. Meaning delicate features, blonde hair and blue eyes. It's not a compliment or an insult.

Hey I really like this kid thats in my english class and i know that he liked me in the beginning of the year but i said no when he asked me out. I asked him over myspace message if he likes me and he said only as a friend and that he doesnt want to loose me as a friend. and he said "lets see how the rest of the year goes".

So yeah, i message him everyday and i dont wanna be annoying but i love getting messages from him and i dont know what to message him this time and how do you know if a guy is playing "hard to get"?
and another thing was when we were messaging, he was asking me why i like him and why i want to date him.

so today i messaged him and i asked him if he wanted to hang out this friday or weekend or something and he told me he couldnt and what he was doing. he said he has a baseball game friday night and i checked on the school website and he does. so i know for sure that he actually does want to hang out.

It looks like you missed the moment. You rejected him the first time, so he lost interest in you.

You can tell a guy is playing "hard-to-get" when he says things like "I love you, you're beautiful, blah blah blah" and the next day acts like he wouldn't care if you flew to the moon in front of his face. And it doesn't sound like what he's doing.

Resist your urge to message him every day. It gets annoying if it's someone he's not interested in and besides, it's immature. It makes you look featherbrained. Most women have the maturity not to do that.

You haven't written enough for me to make an inference of whether he wants to hang out or not. I say it's too early to tell. Wait about two weeks, and then try again. If it turns out that he wants to hang out, then do it one-on-one. If there are other girls around, they'll all be talking to him and it would be pointless. If you invite other guys, then he'll just talk to them.

The number one key to a girl's heart is to care about their emotions. When your girl is feeling really bad, talk to her, show you care and try to show a lot of empathy/sympathy. That will make her feel closer to you.

It really depends on your body frame. For a really small girl, I would say about 90-110. For a girl with an average build, probably about 105-115. And for a girl with really big bones, I'd say 110-120.

Okey, I've tried working out, eating healthy and even counting every single calorie, and it STILL hasnt wokred! So please, don't give me the doctor-answer. Spare me the "healthy-talk".

If I skip dinner, and eat as much lunch as I do now, no more, no less..will I lose weight?

Just a simple yes or now, not "eating helthy, skip the sweets, try the gym" because I've foine that already. I've even tried making myself throw up, but my mother caught me.

Skipping dinner is not worth it. You will lose weight, but the next time you eat, you'll gain back weight....quickly. So there's no real point in skipping dinner.

I have no idea how to apply makeup, like foundation and powder or whatever...I'm 16 and I feel like its time to learn. I can do my eyes, but my face there just seems like so many steps and it confuses me! Can anyone explain for me how you do it and what you need and such on so forth?

Don't learn to wear makeup just for the sake of wearing makeup. The less makeup you wear, the more attractive and natural you will look. Hey guys, is it true that tanning makes your acne go away? or atleast makes it so you dont see pimples and stuff? Because I noticed how everyone I know who goes tanning has perfect skin, and they where like !yeah tanning hides teen-acne" can anyone tell me if this is true?

No. Actually, the sun gives you more acne. Whenever I go out in the sun and I haven't put on any Pro-Active beforehand, I break out like crazy! My mother is a liscenced dermatologist, and she said that it's true, so trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

Those lotions and tanning beds don't, either. There's a difference between looking tan and actually being tan. See, your skin gets burned and peeling and damaged and tan when it's exposed to the ultraviolet rays of the sun. As a reaction, the melanin(the stuff that gives your skin pigment) in your skin increases, and you get tan. The tanning salons and lotions do the same thing that the sun does to your melanin, but because it's artificial, won't have exactly the same damaging effects of the sun. So you won't break out if you go to a salon, but the lotions could clog your pores and thus result in acne.

Everyone who is tan doesn't have perfect skin. I tan really well, but I certainly don't have perfect skin. It's just that the people you've seen (in real life) who are tan and have perfect skin are just the lucky ones who don't get acne. As for those gorgeous blondies in all of the bikini commmercials, the photo editors airbrush their skin so they look flawless, even when they're not.

Who told you that "tanning hides teen acne"?! Whoever it was doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. Idiots.
