yesterday a guy friend i have said i look like im Swedish. i don't know what swedish people look like so i dont know if that's a compliment or not? i'm really italian not swedish. so what features to polish people have? and when he said i look like im swedish is that a good thing or is it bad? are swedish people ugly and what features do they have for example like blue eyes? HELP.

Since Polish people have all sorts of different looks, so I bet your friend is talking about the steriotypical Pollack. Meaning delicate features, blonde hair and blue eyes. It's not a compliment or an insult.

Polish people ALL look different. They could have blue eyes or brown eyes. My friend looks italian but she is 100% Polish. It's weird, because my boyfriend is Polish and he doesn't look italian. I don't know, alot of people are polish so I don't think it's an insult.

My friend is polish and she is tall with red hair and blue eyes. I think polish people are tall, though.

kulungowski
kuburski
^ those are just some people i know. I'm not saying that all polish people's names start with k, and end in "ski" , though. if someone has a name like that at your school you can just see what they look like.
There really is not big physical trait that stands out in polish people. So i have no idea what your friend is talking about

Tulipg17 is right. Very odd thing to say. There really is no difference between Polish people and the other slavic folk.
Now swedish might have been interpreted as a compliment, since most people think of Swedes as tall attractive and blonde. The Polish certainly do not have a reputation of being more attractive than any other nation... though in jokes they do have the reputation of being somewhat less bright (just in jokes mind you).
Anyway, not a compliment and probably not an insult. Maybe the guy once saw some Poish person who looks like you. I would ask him if I were in your shoes.

polish people are generally very attractive. they're normally tall, slim, with bright blue eyes and blond hair. not all of them, of course, but that's the stereotype. and their women, unlike russian women who are also very beautiful, take very good care of themselves so that they're still beautiful when they get older. so don't worry, it's a compliment =) i remember when i was in a polish airport, i was almost drooling looking at the guys there @_@

Well, looking polish can be looked at as a compliment or whatever. It means you have light(ish) skin, and black or brown hair. Is that so wrong?

The Polish ethnicity (classically anyway) isn't really an obvious one. Just typical European white with brown (or light) hair and some people have larger sized noses. I don't know why anyone would automatically think "Polish" when they look at anyone, since it isn't dramatically different from most non-latin Europeans. Maybe they were just asserting that you don't really look Italian, because Italian people typically DO have a very distinct look and maybe you don't share that? Who knows, I doubt they were trying to say that you were ugly or anything.
