A few thoughts I've gathered from my teenage years (and being on this site for most of them!):
1. If you Google song lyrics, the song will come up 99% of the time.
2. Dress to fit your body type, and buy the size that fits. If you're a size 6, squeezing into a 4 won't make you look skinnier. It makes you look fat when you aren't.
3. You will never regret waiting to lose your virginity.
4. There is such a thing as a stupid question, but we're all allowed to ask them.

well ive been homskooled all my life, until last year we moved to my dad's home town and they finally agreed to let me go away to public skool! i was sooo happy when they let me go to skool cuz for about a year or so i had thought about klling myself cauz i never did anything i was always at church or at hom ewith my family who ignores me! well i did my very best last year and i got all A's! but this year i over heard my parents talking and they sadi that if i made just one bad grade on my report card that they would pull me out cauz my parents told me if i didnt that they would pull me out of skool and id be back to homskooling. the bad thing is im making a c in english and the report cards are coming out thsi friday! i really dont want to be pulled out cauz then i will go back into my depression state, only this time i would cut myself cauz then they'd have to send me back to skool or i'd keep cutting myself, and if they dont do that they'll have to send me to the place for crazy ppl! i know thats a rally bad place cauz ive had friends go there an d come back adn they sadi it was awfull, but i dont care just as long as i dont come back to this god forsaken house everyday doing nothing but homeskooling and going to church!
how do i get me parents to understand that im not their perfect genius who will always make A'S?
Talk to your parents. They obviously have no idea how much you love public school & how much you hated homeschooling. Also, talk to your english teacher and ask him about extra credit, re-doing a test you did badly on & possibly changing grades on some assignments you may have been graded unfairly on (for example, making an honest effort may often get a C bumped to a B-). Have your parents go in for a conference with your teachers- especially all the teachers whose classes you excel in. If they realize that you're realy trying in public school, and that homeschooling just isn't right for you, they may reconsider.

what's so wrong with washing straberries after they're cut? my family studies teacher screamed when she saw someone doing that! i was pretty scared, but didn't see much of a big deal of what it can do to the strawberries.
It can make them mushy.
A much bigger problem is that if there's something like ecoli, or even just dirt, on the outside of the strawberry, it gets all over the fruit & is much harder to wash off. You're much better off washing them before they're cut, it's a heck of a lot easier to do anyways! =]

okay let's say you were in this situation: You're a SMART student...and you always read everything on time and complete work. but one one certain night, you can't finish a book because it makes you fall asleep [there are like 3 chapters remaining]. would you use sparknotes? would you feel guilty about it? do you think it's acceptable once in a while?
Everyone uses Sparknotes. It's aceptable as long as you've either
a) read most of the book already and want to check facts for it, or
b) absolutely did not have time to read the book on one occassion.
My english teachers actually encourages us to use Sparknotes & he takes HIS notes for class from the site. So there's worse things to do than use sparknotes :)

I haven't used that particular product, but I've used a few others from Clinique & they're the most amazing foundations I've ever tried. I imagine the "super moisture" variety would be better if you have dry or combination skin.

for those of you who suffer with moderate-severe acne, do you or did you ever drink a lot of milk?
im curious because there is a study going on trying to prove that milk is linked to bad acne.
i drink a lot of milk and my acne is really bad.
I drink a normal amount of milk, 3-4 glasses a day, sometimes less.
Honestly, even if there was some kind of link between the two, I'd still drink milk. I'd rather have acne (which is almost gone thanks to dermatologist treatment) than osteoporosis. Plus, almost everyone I know drinks milk & not all of them have bad acne. Like I said, milk's the easiet way for most people to get calcuim so I think it's worth drinking.

Okay so next yeah i think i want to go to NORFOLK COUNTY AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL.Its a tech school.I want to be one of thoses Jeff Corwin,Steve Irwin types of people and i am pretty sure they are Zoologist but i am not sure.All i know is that i want to be one of them.I was wondering should i go in to veterinarian science at Norfork or what should i do?Are they even zoologists?

Norfolk Aggie has an "Animal and Marine Science" program. If you're really into working with animals (or agriculture, hence the name) it'd be a great school for you. The things you learn seem to put an emphasis on biology, life sciences, things like that. Talk to your guidance counselor about more specific courses and such, they can help you out a lot with applications too, and help you decide on your high school plans.

And about the site- you have to scroll over the left hand side navigation (Admissions, School Calendar, etc) and then click on one of the menu options that pop up. It confused me at first, but the site is actually working, haha.
I know a few people who have gone there. They love the school because they like what they're learning. You get two years to decide a "major" so don't worry about choosing the wrong one at first. Plus, you'll learn pretty quickly if you don't like the school & want to go back to your regular high school.
EDIT (I hope you see this): Don't let people bother you about going to a tech school. True, they used to be a place for kids who were going to otherwise drop out & never get a job, but that has changed SOO much. I go to tech school as well (BVT) and I believe the current stats are that 70% of the graduating class goes to college. So don't worry about any of that stuff :)

ok, so i got my industrial pierced about 3 and a half months ago. i washed it like they told me and put saline on it 2-3 times a day for the first month or a little more. it healed up nicely and has always been fine ive never had any problems with it. ever since a couple days ago, around the bottom hole and basically the whole top cartilage of my ear has been really rough, dry, and is flaking and peeling a bunch. not to mention its now raw bc ive been picking at the peeling skin. the piercing is still fine but the skin around it is driving me crazy. any idea what i can do? if it makes a difference, my mom dyed my hair on sunday, so maybe it irritated it? how can i get it to stop peeling and flaking?
I often have dry skin (it's complicated, I have excema so its only in certain parts of my face) and I've been using Eucerin for about six years now. The original moisturizing cream, it comes in a white tub, not the lotion or anything like that. It works amazing, and unless you're allergic to water, mineral oil, or wool (it has lanolin in it and it's dervied from wool) you won't have any reaction t it at all.
If the peeling gets worse, I'd see a doctor to make sure it's not infected or anything. But it's probably just the weather. Skinis known to peel a lot this time of year.

I deleted my iPOD folders, y'know like last 25 played, recently added...All of those..I'm not sure why..I was doing my cousin's iPOD and I guess..Yeah I don't know. Is there any way I could get those back or anything? Thank you :]
When your iPod is connected, click on it in the source list, then go to File -> New Smart Playlist. From there you can rename, adjust the parameters (to make it top 25, limit it to 25 items, sort by play count, etc) It's relatively basic & there's a lot of things you can do with them.

This is kind of a dumb question, but it's been really bugging me!
So I saw this girl with a sweater, it was knit and light beige. It looked really comfy and I want one but I have no clue where she got it!
I also saw guy wearing a similar one today, too.
Like I said, it looks like it's knit from wool or something, it's lgiht beige, had a hood and 2 string coming from the hood. It had long sleeves and it wasn't like super fitted.
It looked like it was from Hollister maybe?

Okay, So I deleted my folder on iTunes 'recently added'. Does anyone know how I can get it back?
File -> New Smart Playlist.
Then edit the parameters to make it Date Added is within the last X number of days, or whatever you want. You can name it anything you want, too.
So if you wanted your recently added playlist to actually be called "Amazing Radioactive Pink Monkeys Destroyed the Planet and Stole My Pizza Rolls", you've got the power to do so.

Connect your iPod to the computer like always. After it shows up in the source list on the left, click on it's name. On that menu there's a "restore" option, which will completely erase everything off your iPod for good :)

i found that the Stella jeans in Express, size 4 short fit perfectly. i have such trouble finding jeans so i was really happy. but they are kind of pricy so i only bought one pair. does anyone know of other jeans that fit like this? thanks
Delia's and Alloy jeans have a ton of different sizes available, inseams 28-37 inches, short regular and tall, and soo many different washes, colors, fits. Try going there. Alloy is mostly online, I believe. Delia's is opening more stores, one just opened at the mall near me (southern MA) and you can buy all their clothes online too =]

Where can I find color contacts for sale that do NOT require an eye exam? I looked it up online and it says that by law, you must have an eye exam to get them, but a lot of people I know have color contacts that they got from friends.
Any help is appreciated. =]
You need to get an eye exam. If you used a friends, they won't be the right type for your eye and you risk infection by using someone else's. You're much better off getting them through your eye doctor.

How can i get software to run my Hewlett Packard Deskjet 722c?It is not compatible with my windosw 98 computer.
I think you might have to upgrade your OS. Most things usually need I think Windows 2000 or higher. Sometimes computer shops can get around it though,by using a different disc or something. Although I did once have Windows 98 & a newish printer installed on it, I don't know exactly how, I think I annoyed the software into installing it, haha.
