I was working at Old Navy for the past few months as a seasonal hire and they recently laid off all the new hires because we did pretty badly during our Christmas season. They told us that we would always be welcome back in the spring though but I don't really want to work there anymore.
1. I know this is a bad time for job searches but should I try looking for a new job anyway?
2. Before Old Navy, I only had volunteer experience. Would a store manager take a closer look at my resume because of my Old Navy experience? Do Old Navy employees have a particular reputation that might cause store managers to prefer them or look down on them?
3. Do you think a few months Old Navy experience is enough to work at specialty stores like American Eagle or Espirit?

I'm not sure about AE, but I know that at Abercrombie and Hollister, you can't walk in and ask for a job. They choose hot people to work there, and they offer you jobs. Esprit might have a better chance at hiring you. Yes, look for a new job.

i recently got the verizon saumsung SCH-a850 cell phone with the text messagin plan where it $5 for unlimited. i was wondering if theres anyway to text message someone who doesn't have a verizon phone like if my friend had a cingular phone would i be able to send her a text message? or is there anyway to do that

I am an aspiring model/actress. I want to do it all. Even reality show stuff. And I want to know does anyone know any websites or something that I can go to for casting calls, interviews, etc. The thing is my parents don't want to put their credit card number online. Where do you live? This can impact your chances of doing any type of show business. Are you at least 5'8''? If not, then you can forget about the model part. You need an agent before going to casting calls or auditions. Once you tell me where you live (and please leave your column name so I can get back to you) I can further asist you.

Kelli=bestfriend who i tell everything and which i am very close with and she is mature, less than me, but still mature ( friends since 7th )
Kara= bestfriend who's been my friend 6th grade, WAY less mature than me, but shes deffinately one of a kind..i can't talk about sum things with her that'd i like to

ok in school we have teams, four teachers to a team, and 8 total teachers, which means your on one team or the other, the last two years i've been in classes with kelli ( which means were on the same team ) and the last 3 years me and kara have been friends but on different teams. being on different teams basicly lowered your chances of staying friends..but me and kara pulled through and stayed friends

me and kara really never got into fights, even tough her mom and step dad fucking blow! i hate them, but thats WAY besides the point

me and kelli havn't been talking on the phone everyday, talking to each other a ton @ school, sitting by each other @ lunch, or hanging out really. sumtimes in literacy kelli tottaly ignores me..but yet shes not mad @ me...its hard to explain..it seems as if me and kelli are spliting apart, and she knows too much about me to not be friends! lol
but its really killing me, and i don't like spending the ngiht @ her house bc its gross!

How do you hook up the 100 dollar Kodak Easy share cameras to the computer to load them? I don't have a docker. I have one wire that you're supposed to hook up the Camera to the computer with, but where on the back of the computer do you hook it up too? I didn't read the directions because I want to take the easy way out.

This camera wire (I'm holding mine right now) is a USB wire. If there is a little symbol that looks like a cactus, that's where it goes. The other end goes into the camera :). Leave the memory card in. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!

I have gym first period this year...ouch!! I use Smooth and Dri Deoderant now and it doesn't keep me from sweating in class or in gym class. My mom says my expectations are all wrong and that no deoderant can keep you from sweating in gym. Is she right?? I need help!!! I heard of Certain Dri. Can that help me in gym?

In general, democrats are more liberal. This means that they are more likely to support gay marriages or abortion. On the other hand, Republicans are more conservative which means that they are more likely to oppose gay marriages or abortion. If you were to say, "Vote for Bush!", that would make you a Republican and an idiot. If you were to support Kerry, you'd be a Democrat and a smart person.

Your BMI is about 17, which is underwieght. I am 5'0'' and weigh about 100 pounds, so you aren't overweight. If you are constantly obsessing over your weight, you may have an eating disorder, which you should get checked out.

okay well i was looking at iriver and it says you can have up to like 34 hours of music but the largest copasity you can buy is 1gb so i asked on here how many songs is that and everyone said about 60 so how do i get 34 hours of music if it can only hold like 60 mp3 format songs? if this helps at all this is the one i was looking at

I REALLY want to be a model. Like, I've never wanted anything so much bebfore, in my life. I am 5'2 and a size 5 (short) in jeans. I weigh 115. I'm working on the weight, I'm trying to get down to a size 2. So I'm not asking about that. Is my height a problem? Because I'm a fan of Tyra Banks and watch her talk show. I went to that sight and in her "So you want to be a model" part, she said you have to be 5'9 to model. So is my 5'2 height going to restrict me from modeling? I'm a 13 year old girl and probably still growing.

Five foot two is way too short to model, you really do need to be at least five foot nine. The weight isn't really a problem, as long as there is like no fat on you (it could be muscle). Size 2 isn't really good enough, you need to be a size 0. I'm not going to lie, unless you are breathtakingly beuatiful, you probably won't make it past magazines if you even make it that far. They don't need teenage models right now, anyway. There are too many. Wait a few years to see if you grow...

Crunches for your abs, and then this pilates thing for your legs. You lay on your side and slowly raise your top leg and lower it, like the opposite of scissor kicks, if you know what those are.

The pores on my face are so big, therefore, my face gets so oily. I wash my face 2 times a day. About an hour after I put on my makeup after I washed my face, my face gets oily and my make up wears off. My make up is OIL FREE too. What home remedies that work for you would you suggest to me to tighten and reduce the size of my pores and to eliminate excess oil? Don't give me that stupid google bar, I've tried google.

Use toner, Neutrogena makes a good one...toner minimizes your pores.
