Firstly ensure that your legs are slightly bent throughout this exercise.
• Lie on your back with your hands, palms down under your buttocks.
• Raise your legs about 12 inches off the floor and hold them there.
• Make sure the base of your spine is pressed against the floor (this will ensure that your back has the correct support).
• Now trying to use just your lower abs, tilt your pelvis and raise your legs a further 6 inches.
• Hold for a few seconds then return to your original position.
• Keep going with this exercise until you can feel it in your abs [ queen_of_beauty94's advice column | Ask queen_of_beauty94 A Question ]
hugsNkisses answered Wednesday January 4 2006, 6:27 pm: definitely crunches. those really help the abs and crunches where you put one elbow to the opposite knee and vise versa. also, you could try going to a gym to use their abdominal machines. i belong to new york sports club and go 3 times a week! goo luck!

situps are good for your stomach
also this will help-
sit on the floor with your legs straight out.
tilt your back backwards until it is at a straining position
twist your upper body from side to side until you
'feel the burn'
do that for 10 minutes everyday
MikeCFT answered Tuesday January 3 2006, 2:21 pm: Exercise doesn't get rid of fat in an area. Dieting, The dreaded "D" word does that. Most people don't believe this simply because they're afraid to actually put forth some effort because they think that fat cells can be targeted and lost in 3 days and read meatheaded Teen magazines which have occasional articles showing people how to get in shape, so they choose to ignore diet and think that exercising will "Cancel that out"...yea ok. Don't be one of these people. Crunches will help tighten and develop muscle in your abs but will not lose fat, exercises for the abbductor and adductor muscles such as narrow squats and special machines which target the inner and outer thighs will help develop the area, but again...will not lose fat in the area. You want to lose fat? Lose the junk in the diet. 1000000000 crunches aren't going to help if you eat like a bird and/or eat garbage. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]

Alin75 answered Tuesday January 3 2006, 1:56 am: This is the sort of question that comes up a lot. The answers to these sort of questions are usually totally bogus so beware. The fact is that there is no way at all to target fat loss from an area of the body. You can do crunches or squats or lunges or whatever and all it will do is build muscle on that area. This will at most tighten the area up a bit.
I know this was not the answer you wanted but believe me it is the truth. If anyone says otherwise it is only based on superstitious learning (i.e. they did it, they lost stomach fat, they wrongly concluded the targeting exercise was responsible). All you can do is to exercise generally and your body will remove fat from your body. The order this happens in is not in our control.
So, dont do target specific exercises, rather do a full body routine and you will lose weight faster.
Here is a link for you that will 1. confirm what I have claimed and 2. provide you with a link to another site that shows you how to work the different areas of the body [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Igotamonopoly answered Tuesday January 3 2006, 1:09 am: Crunches for your abs, and then this pilates thing for your legs. You lay on your side and slowly raise your top leg and lower it, like the opposite of scissor kicks, if you know what those are. [ Igotamonopoly's advice column | Ask Igotamonopoly A Question ]
